A fantastic all inclusive hotel set in a wonderful small bay which is very quite and restful. The hotel staff are so friendly and accommodating, meal quality is good and the selection is very varied. The bar staff are friendly and very efficient as are the evening waitresses serving drinks in the entertainment area. Spent a great week with my wife and two friends and our only complaint would be that the hotel does have a dress policy for the restaurant during the evening, however this isn't widely publicised and is not policed in any way.
Overall this hotel met and in places exceeded our expectations and we would recommend to any one wanting a beach holiday for a weeks rest - BUT beware if you are on All-inclusive - Your waistline will increase!!!!

Room Tip: We had rooms 204 and 205, our booking said limited sea view but we had a very good view of the bay...

Fantastic holiday from start to finish. Hotel was spotlessly clean and cleaners were constantly cleaning. Our room was immaculate and we had a fantastic view over the bay. There was always plenty to do with the animation team, we took part in the nordic walk, water polo, darts and shooting. Our seven year old girl was so pleased to receive a certificate during the evening awards for "best bambina for nordic walking". Evening entertainment very good and varied every night.

Food in the restaurant was faultless, so much choice and always well presented and plentiful. There was food for all tastes.

Every member of staff we came into contact with was extremely helpful and pleasant. We would strongly recommend this hotel and would return.

The drinks menue was the best I've had in all inc' they had 5/6 cocktails on tap, shots, an extensive range of sprits, house beer and wine, good tea and coffe & even choclate milkshake with whipped cream! Food had pork and fish most days along with other changeable meats. Plain grilled meats & fish as well as stewed & spiced. Pasta with sauce & grilled veg to go with. Chips, rice, veg and salad to accompany each meal & vegetarian options. Deserts were not as good as I've seen before but still nothing to complain about. The bar staff are very relaxed & have a good laugh, will let you order few drinks at a time, with shots also. The animation team were brilliant, and friends we made over there told us this was the best year for the animation team & the entertainment they organised. Children disco until 8:30, then recognition for the winners of today's activities, then music till the main event about 9:30, then music again till 12 when the bar closes. Of course you can order a few just before & sit by the pool until your ready to go up. No trouble with getting a sun bed but September I can images is less hectic & less families than peak. Lots of Germans but we made friends with a lot & the English can typically be just as miserable if your relaxed & have a good time then it won't make a difference, entertainment for children said in German & english but mostly English. The beach is public so they charge 12.50 for sunbeam so we used our lilos, the fish seen in the sea easily on the beach very nice. We went to marine land which was brilliant, visited andratx small town few shop & restaurants, visited peugera to clubs was smallest town more big bars/ small clubs but good for a change but we spent every night in the hotel it was that good. Taxi service just up the road very good also a few shops pharmacy little bar/ restaurants. The bar and animation staff made the holiday I hope they are appreciated!

Room Tip: If families you might not want a low floor as a lot sit just above the bar so noise & talking ti...

Stayed here between 21st - 28th August 2012 all inclusive through First choice. Transfer time to hotel from Palma airport was about 40 minutes. Lovely hotel, absolutely spotless throughout, modern decor and friendly staff. The bedrooms were fine and all had a balcony. Food was very good with plenty of choices, same as all drinks be it soft or alcohol. We didn't use the spa or gym whilst there but did visit the hairdressers in the hotel. Hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the sea and there is a nice beach to the left of the hotel should you not wish to use the pool. The downside at this hotel was the sunbeds - unless you got up before 730am then all the sunbeds were taken as people put their beach towels on them to reserve them! The entertainment in the evenings seemed to centre on the kids more than the adults. Camp de Mar is a small village with a handful of shops, but Paguera is only a few minutes away (lots more cafes, bars and shops) and you can either walk there or a taxi will cost you 5 euros. You can also take the boat. Port Andratx with its beautiful harbour full of yachts is worth a visit, again a short taxi ride. Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia in the north of the island are also worth visiting which we did on an organised trip by the tour operator. Went to a show in a theatre near Palma Nova to see 'Come Fly With Me' (Sinatra songs sung by a guy who looked like him), that was excellent. Majorca is a beautiful island and we will return.

This is an honest, unbiased review of my visit...Upon arrival the guy at reception was helpful. We were late due to delayed flight so got there over 12 hours late at 10.30pm. The restaurant had closed but they had a selection of food put out for us - some bread, cheese and cold meat. Not ideal as were ravenous but it was late.
Room similar in size to a British Travel Inn - Compact but clean. Twin beds? No double bed. Argh! But what can you do? Most hotels are the same. We got a beautiful top floor room with the balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Balconies have two recliner chairs and a table.  Safe in room charged at 2euro per day. Room cleaned daily and towels changed daily if required. Air con not great but did the trick and after 12am the place was really quiet even if you had to open the balcony door for some fresh air. It's 10euros deposit each to hire a pool towel (refundable when returned with ticket) and 1euro (non refundable) every time you want a fresh one. Great for us as my case is heavy enough without having to pack heavy beach towels :)
The hotel is immaculate and forever being cleaned. In fact this is true for the whole of Mallorca. We visited Palma, Peugerra and Andratx and there were always road sweepers or guys blowing leaves off the path.
Food was really nice and freshly prepared. I always get a sore tummy abroad for a few days and I never had one once during my week stay here which for me is high praise indeed :) Brekky- there was fry up, cereal, fruit, cheese, yoghurts etc. Lunch - varied. Dinner- fab. Steaks, veal, prawns. Paella, pizza, pasta etc.. The list is endless and it really was all delicious. Desserts were nice. If you dined after 8.30pm and got desserts after 9pm the selection was limited as most had gone. Restaurant does get very busy earlier so we preferred to go at 8.30pm.
Bar snacks were okay too. Chips, burgers n hot dogs. Afternoon tea - sponge cake. That was all.
You have to book for the speciality restaurant Dragonera (every wed) and its 12euro each for the waiter service. The food is traditional Mallorcan I believe and you get to see the menu when u book at reception.  Selection is choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and one dessert of a selection of cakes (that you get regardless of whether you want them or not). The food was ok, definitely not great. We went on our last night and I felt really underwhelmed after having my choice of delicious foods from the main restaurant for the previous nights so my advice would be if you really want to visit go at the start of your holiday but tbh I'd probably have to say its not worth it (for the food or the money). The fact it was nearly empty says it all - Sorry.
Drinks - good selection of soft drinks i.e. fanta, coke, fruit juice, slushies and the wine on tap is nice. Cocktails are pre made and not great but if u find a palatable one and stick to it you're fine (mine was love on the beach). Some cocktails/brands you had to pay for but again the cocktails were pre-made and really not worth the money.
Had a lovely massage from Maria at the spa which was not only reasonably priced but one of the best massages I've ever had (high praise from an ex-massage therapist ;) )
The hotel is mainly full of Germans but tbh I like going on holiday and not being surrounded by loads of Brits so this didn't bother us in the slightest. Might be different though if u had kids? Don't think so as the British kids that we did see seemed to be having fun.
Staff were pleasant enough and keep in mind they work very hard and long hours so I  tried not to take offence at some (thankfully not all) of them - although it could become quite frustrating when waiting at the pool bar and people would come up and get served before you even though you'd be waiting longer hmm! I'm sure some people might think this was cos we were Brits but I'd really hope that wasn't the case after all we're paying customers too.
The entertainment staff seemed to have a great rapport with the kids and the evening entertainment was fun although we sat in the room (cafeteria) next door which was a bit quieter although it had a tv screen of the main stage so we didn't miss out (tho some nights trying to get reception staff to turn it on wasn't easy!) We still received table service...and yes tips do help here with service :) the girls who did the table service in the bar were by far the nicest members of staff regardless of tips.
Pool area gets busy and noisy and yes people do put their towels down very early but I'm afraid this is just an necessary evil of going on holiday. We always got a spot round at the water front which was quieter and just lovely to hear the waves lapping against the rocks. The two small beaches are lovely and so quaint and the sea is perfect to have a paddle in.  The hotel itself is in an enviable location and one of the best spots I've ever visited (I might be bias but a better spot than neighbouring hotel grupotel playa?)
Not too much to do in the area but great bus service and taxis reasonably priced too (prices to each area are on a board at the rank).
However, overall the nicest touch was us coming in one night to see a bottle of bubbly and two glasses  in our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Very kind and gratefully guzzled :)
There will always be some wee niggles and issues when staying abroad but I personally feel the positives far  outweigh any negatives for this hotel and I would therefore  thoroughly recommend here to anyone looking for great food and an overall very good all inclusive in a beautiful location. We would  definitely go back here in a few years time.

It makes me angry to see people being so picky about such a lovely hotel. Spent two weeks here with my boyfriend and it was the best two weeks we have had away. Usually after two weeks we are ready to come home, however this wasnt how we felt on leaving. We could have easily stayed another week. Hotel is lovely and kept so clean. All staff work so hard to keep things great. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. The cleaning staff are constantly cleaning and keeping the place beautiful. The entertainment staff were fantastic, they were so hard from 10am-12am 6 days a week, they deserve so much credit for what they do, they include everyone and try to get everyone involved. They are so welcoming and lovely. The waiting staff also work so hard on the night time, constantly waiting on, taking orders and serving customers. Katrizyna was such a good waitress, as soon as your drink was empty, the next one would be on the way! Such a friendly bunch. The location is beautiful yet quiet. It was such a relaxing beautiful two weeks. We had a room on the 7th floor, facing the sea, the pool and we could also see some of the beach. It was perfect. I visited the spa on my last day, you can use the spa pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna room all for free. Cant praise this hotel up enough. Food was always lovely with plently of selection and variety, it was yummy. We were going to eat out a few times but chose not to because we would be paying for something just as good. We just loved our holiday! Thank you to the staff, especially the entertainment staff, for making it such a good one!! :)

Room Tip: 7th floor. Our room was 756! Was lovely!!!

We have just finished 2 weeks at the Gran Camp de Mar, booked through First Choice. Our idea of an ideal holiday is a quiet resort, clean comfortable rooms, activites to keep the children amused and decent food the hotel delivered on all these points.

We were dropped off right outside the entrance to the hotel, which means walking by the pool but this is no hardship - a ramp makes it easy to wheel cases down. Check in was very quick and efficient - our room wasn't quite ready so they stored our luggage and sent us in for a very welcome lunch, after which our room as ready. Rooms were perfectly adequate, no smaller than others we have stayed in and well planned. Exceptionally clean and comfy, nice view from balcony. Plenty of room in bathroom - ok no mirror over dressing table in room but there is a large well lit mirror plus shaving mirror for close up in bathrooms and large mirror fronted wardrobe doors which are more than sufficient. Plenty of storage space and we don't travel light. The only dirt we found was cigarette ash on edge of balcony but this is the fault of inconsiderate guests flicking ash down, not the fault of the hotel. We asked for extra pillows and they were soon supplied - no problem. Bedding and towels regularly changed. Corridors and lift areas we considered sufficiently lit and clean. Air con worked well and quietly - the only time it went off was during a thunderstorm that put it off on one half of the hotel but it was fixed as soon as possible. Some nights we were too cold, and it was during some of the hottest temperatures they had. As we had children we had 2 interconnecting rooms which worked really well.

Restaurant - food good and varied, suited most tastes. Never hungry! Drinks are self service, including beer and wine which was fine. We ate in the a la carte one night, very nice to sample traditional food.

Pool area - sunbeds were mostly taken by 8 but we found getting up at 7.30 (which we do usually anyway) there were always plenty. Some days there were still some free by 9. Pool was good and despite large numbers of people there was always room to swim. Some noise with activities but not intrusive. Quiet areas available to sit away from all this.

Spa - not much chance to use it but hubby enjoyed the gym - okay it is not fully equipped but it has a good general choice of equipment. I can recommend the back massage and facial - VERY relaxing.

Entertainment - especially enjoyed the magic show, comedy show was very original and funny for all ages, Rud Stewart (yes corny, but he worked the audience well and everyone seemed to be having a good time and dancing). Animation team worked hard, long hours but not pushy. Kids enjoyed the club dance tho' a bit old for the mini disco now. Our only point would be that maybe they need a set meeting point and time as some activities we didn't realise had started as it wasn't announced clearly.

Staff were all very helpful and polite. The hotel caters for a wide range of nationalities but we found no obvious favouritism and most people mixed well.

Beach area to left of hotel is public and can get busy but is nice and well serviced. We went to the beach area to the left which is rocky (take flip flops to get to sea) but once, in the sea was lovely and a lot quieter.

All the time, there were cleaners in public areas (even late at night) and this was reflected in the cleanliness of the surroundings - we were very impressed with this.

The resort is quiet, but the ice cream parlour near the chemist is worth a visit. There was enough for us - a few shops with gifts, newspapers etc, a chemist, doctor, supermarket and some restaurants. Peguera and Andratx are not far away and we found them okay to visit but preferred to stay where we were.

Trips out - we went to Aqualand S'Arenal which was good, but you may want to hire a ring - we didnt as too dear! We did the Orange Blossom trail which was okay but is a long day with young children. Also did the caves of Drach, ok but for the crowds! Didn't have time to catch the boat as we had to be at the bus within 15 mins of the music ending and only just made it! Being so far out, we were often first pick up which meant in some cases 1 hr 30 mins doing hotel pick ups, then people moaned when we asked for a loo stop - they didn't realise how long we had been on the bus before picking them up! This really is too long, especially with children, although at least we got a good pick of seats. We saw the Pirates show - we were dubious before as it was quite dear but we would go again - very impressed with the acrobatics and the children loved it - but the photos were too dear at 12 euros each. Would be better if they did a cheaper package.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The only negatives were with behaviour of a few holidaymakers (some can be rather impatient and ignorant) but this cannot be blamed on the hotel. We would certainly be happy to return as for this, this resort and hotel suit all our needs, though I appreciate it could be too quiet for others.
