If the comments on shabby rooms put you off then stay in the Annexe. The rooms are very good, newer, it's cheaper than the main hotel and I'm sure some rooms get better views. It's a short walk to breakfast and dinner but it's worth the drop in price. I've always found the service to be very good from friendly staff who, judging by their length of service, must enjoy working there. Last week 70% of the guests were return visitors which must say something about the overall standard. The weak pound has pushed the price up a bit, but having returned I wish I'd had three more days. Sleep Quality is 4/5 because the air con had a mind of it's own. Having said that, we're going back in 2012.

We stayed here for 3 nights at short notice and our first experience of Mallorca. We used the transfer service organised by the hotel to and from the airport at Euro 58 each way which worked perfectly. On arrival we were offered a choice of 3 rooms and selected the first offered - with a partial view of the sea and towards the front of the hotel. Our room was in the main building, close to the pool and of a good size, with a nice, fairly private balcony. No complaints at all. We had not booked half board but in the end decided to eat at the hotel each evening. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent and in the main we stayed with the menu d'hôte which offered good choices. We ate at the pool bar one lunchtime too - simple and also very nice. The swimming pool is really lovely - large and very clean.....but it's the staff that definitely make this hotel a special place. Without exception we found everyone charming and helpful. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes stroll from Deia village which is beautiful - we walked up to the church to find Robert Graves resting place - it's a lovely walk and the churchyard is very peaceful with stunning views. And we had a very enjoyable tapas lunch. But to be honest, on a short stay there is no need to move away from Es Moli to have a truly lovely and restful break.

Deia is a delightful, small, picturesque village set in the hillside. Close by are the towns of Soller & Valldemossa, so there are half day sightseeing options close byi f you want more than sunshine from your holiday.

We booked a last minute week at Es Moli based on Tripadvisor reviews. It didn't disappoint. Friendly staff, clean functional rooms, good size pool and plenty of space to relax either pool-side or in the lovely gardens.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Deia if you dont want to eat in the hotel. We had taken the half board and the food was fine. Our only gripe was that the food was rich with no option to have the good ingredients simply cooked.

We booked through Thomsons who had only Anex rooms available. You need to enjoy stairs to stay here but the climb does at least help burn off the extra calories you take on board in the restaurant! Because we couldn't book in the main hotel we had incorrectly assumed that the hotel was full. This was a mistake on our part as the hotel was barely half full. So do check other tour operators / the hotel direct if you aren't keen on the anex.

Overall I recommend Es Moli & Deia for all those looking to get away for peace and quiet. However if you are looking for beaches / nightlife / action look elsewhere.

just returned from es moli, had a lovely time, stayed in annex thanks to eric of yorkshire, so peaceful and just perfect - to lie on the sunlounger on the balcony with only the sound of goat bells tinkling was just what the doctor ordered! we did have a car i must hasten to add and were lazy enough to drive down to breakfast, 36 degrees is far too warm to be shlephing up steps so if your not very good on your pins stay in the main hotel. I must also say that the hotels private cove is beautiful and the staff there, especially Anna are brilliant. There are some outstanding restaurants in deya well worth the stroll !

Not quite sure about one of the previous reviews, I found the rooms pretty much up there with any 5* hotel I have stayed in. I wasn't in the annexe and I wouldn't worry; this hotel and the locale are first class. It's not for party animals or young families but if you just want to relax and enjoy great wine and food then this should suit. The staff are great and make your stay very relaxing. The views are amazing from breakfast and if you can't find something to eat then you will never be pleased.

Going into town couldn't be easier, turn right out of the hotel and keep walking. The first place on the right is a great tapas bar; cheaper than other places and quite a lively place to have a beer/wine/food. The best place for me was Sa Dorada on the left a little way up. It is a lovely romantic restaurant serving great quality food. It is family run and the staff are very welcoming, if a little hesitant in speaking English, but it is well worth a visit or two. The views from the tables at the back of the restaurant are stunning.

All in all we had a very relaxing week and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to our friends.

Es Moli has a beautiful location but sadly the bedrooms are very outdated and shabby. The Assistant Manager agreed that the rooms were not good enough and long overdue for refurbishment but said the location made up for it. Sadly when one arrives to a dirty, shabby room reached by millions of very steep steps it is hard to understand why this hotel is gold starred, four star rating. It surely cannot be more than three star. On holiday one pays for the standard of room and this fell far far short. The location is delightful and the general staff helpful. Our dissatisfaction was compounded by Herr Boch only being prepared to move us to a better room for a further 49 euros per person, per night even thought the hotel was not full.

Just returned from a super week at 'Es Moli'. A wonderfully relaxing retreat where everything is fantastic. Staff very friendly - nothing too much trouble, food delicious with a good variety and some of the most spectacular views on the island. Sitting out on the terrace eating breakfast or enjoying your evening meal outside on a sultry evening was pure bliss. We met some fab guests, many who had returned year after year ( and who can blame them ) once you've sampled 'Es Moli' you want to book the return trip! The walk into Deia only took about 15 minutes and the bus to Palma/Valldemossa/Soller is only a short walk away with a regular service and clean buses.
If you're going to 'Es Moli' soon you'll have a brilliant time I'm sure.
