I found booking Casa Mirador very easy and Julia was very responsive. Prior to departing her partner, Pepe sent me a text message to touch base and introduce himself as the point of contact for our stay. This was great as we were able to contact him any time.
On arrival to the villa we were blown away by the views and privacy of the plot. It was so stunning with lots of outdoor space and two separate buildings: one to sleep and one to lounge / cook. The little attention to detail was sweet, cold beers and fruit left in the fridge for us plus a bottle of wine for the evening.
The interior of both buildings were rustic, simple and very classic.
The kitchen is very cute and comes with an outdoor oven. It’s great for basic cooking and comes with pots, pans, coffee machine, lots of crockery. It’s probably not ideal to cook for more than 2 people unless you’re planning on using the lovely barbeque; the only reason we didn’t fire that up was because there were only two of us but it would be lovely to have cooked outdoors.
The bedrooms were fine and spacious. We didn’t need to unpack really and used the downstairs lobby area to spread all of our stuff. We had plenty of space
The bathroom was also cute and everything worked fine. The property also comes with an outdoor shower which we used during the day as it was so hot – it was a god send! Thankfully the host provided enough towels for the week.
The overall cleanliness of the place was 5/5 which we were very happy with.
A couple of things could be potentially be modernised for anyone spending more time at the villa or coming with kids e.g the shower which was temperamental, the lamp in the bedroom stopped working as it was very old, the lights in the lounge are too bright and could do with up lights to brighten the place at night.
Julia and Pepe get a whopping 5/5 for being contactable at all times. Probably the friendliest and most accommodating hosts we’ve ever had.
If you’re looking for mod cons or need baby/toddle facilities then this place is not for you. However, if you have older kids or are a couple/bunch of friends then this secluded, spacious, rustic villa is the place.
It’s also great for cyclists as there is enough space to keep lots of bikes.
We loved it and will be going back!
