Review of Western Water Park

Western Water Park
Ranked #5 of 17 things to do in Magaluf

This was one of the cleanest and well-kept water parks I'd ever been too relative to other parks in Spain, France and Italy. We were surprised by the number of rides and the quality of the rides for what we paid. They were a very good standard and not in short supply. To rebut some of the comments below, what do you expect when you go to any sort of Theme Park? You could rent floats for an added fee which basically meant you didn't have to wait at the bottom of a ride for floats ie only queue once.

Yes, food was expensive but we ate before we went in and we took a few bottles of water and some crisps in and we were fine and didn't pay any extra money. The same can be said with sun loungers, there was plenty of well-kept grassy areas to lay a towl down on. We went as a group of 8 18 year olds and we thoroughly enjoyed our day there, specially as queues were short and the rides were varied.

I would recommend it if you're staying in Magalluf, it's an easy 20-25 minute walk from many of the hotels and a relatively cheap day out.

If I could've, I wouldn't even give this water park 1 star! Worst I've ever been to so if you actually enjoy water parks, stay clear!

Entry cost is low for a reason (€26 each) as the second you step in everything else has a cost associated... Lockers, Sunbeds even Dinghys, the thing you need to actually use the rides!!! Appreciate some might not think €12 is much to hire them but when you actually require them to enjoy the ride why do they not just add this to the entry fee and provide to all?

Even more of a farce was the so called 'lazy river'... due to the dinghy hire cost people were actually walking round it instead!! Never have I seen something so daft. We even asked a member of staff where we could find any of the free floats they had advertised on the boards (aside from ones to hire) and we were told 'I don't know where they are' ...incase they hadn't understood we asked someone else and got the same response. Comes to something when the staff don't even know where the floats are!

We stayed no more than an hour which speaks volumes. Incredibly disappointed.

This was a laugh, it cost a bit so I would plan to go for the whole day. We stayed ages, slides, beds played in the wave pool, then sat in the sun for a bit. Great people there too.

Don't even bother considering it, by the time you've left it's never worth the money they force you to pay. If you're a fan of water parks then this isn't a very good one anyway.
Here's what we paid......
€26 each, 2 adults €52 but we had a €4 voucher from the map at the airport.
Here's where the 'fun' starts;
€4 to park there!
€12 for a double rubber ring plus €2 deposit which you get back - despite these being sold where you walk in YOU DO NOT NEED TO HIRE ONE, they're also on each ride, you just have to queue to get it.
LOCKERS!!!! €5 plus €2 euro deposit.

We didn't 'take advantage' of the €3.50 sun beds or the 75 cents showers.

Seriously, the list is endless and it's not even that good.

Save your money, go elsewhere, please don't allow them to rip you off too......

Perfect waterpark, there's something for everyone! Only bad points were having to pay for lockers, sunbeds and dinghys etc. Definitely worth visiting!
