Once again a trouble free and stress free week spent at this excellent hotel the rooms are excellent with good beds tv's and fridge .very clean esp in toilet area .I would not pay €70 extra for pool view but at busy times of year may well be worth it as the hotel to rear of Guadalope can get noisey indeed my friend was instantly moved to a pool view room when he was called some pretty nasty names by a youth in a neighbouring hotel using a megaphone excellent service following unfortunate one off incident.the food was good ,not great , service excellent front desk staff always friendly and efficient although sometimes there seems to only one on and if checking someone in you can be waiting for 10 minutes to be attended to . The pool area very clean never a problem to get lounger .hotel in relatively quiet area of Magaluf now called Calvia with various improvements taking place to area .hotel near to beach and a few pubs popular with +40 set esp.golfers at this time of year . One of best hotels in Magaluf I would not hesitate to recommend esp to those wishing to stay in a quieter hotel away from the madness of some of hotels nearer the "strip". If you worried about any noise take a pool view room. My one real criticism would be the walls between rooms are a but thin but I have never in 7/8 visits had really noisey neighbours so no real problem to me .

stayed here start of may when they had only been open a few days prior so was still quiet, This is around our 7th stay at this wonderful hotel and once again it was brilliant. I have said pretty much everything in my previous reviews of the sol guadalupe and i'm very pleased to say the standards haven't dropped whatsoever even down to having a bottle of wine and a happy birthday letter left in our room for my wife. i have stayed in many hotels in magaluf and still stick by this one being the best.

I have stayed at the Guadalupe every year for approximately the past 15 years, originally as a family holiday & more recently as a couples holiday now our son goes away with his friends. I have never had reason to complain about anything in the hotel. The staff are very friendly & helpful, they always remember the regular customers & welcome them back each year, a good sign of a friendly place to work is the same staff are there year after year. The rooms are very clean & comfortable, the restaurant is excellent, the variety of food is wonderful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, you can choose to go to the quieter bars nearby or walk a little further & see the sights & craziness of Magaluf nightlife. We have considered gong to other resorts & countries but I know u will have a relaxing holiday at the Guadalupe therefore as we leave each year we reserve our room for the following year.

We go to maga twice a year, in May and September, 90% of the time in this hotel. The staff are great and the hotel is by far the best in magaluf. Close to the beach and a nice 5 minute walk from the main stop. Can't wait to visit again in May. ;-)

We booked this hotel last minute and weren't expecting a lot, but it was a really nice experience. Just make sure you ask for a room overlooking the pool and not the main entrance facing a cheap hostel with constantly drunk noisy teen+agers.

Room of a reasonable size, comfortable bed, excellent breakfasts and dinners. Normally we wouldn't take half board yet it was just 25 Euros extra for a week. That was actually a smart call as Magalluf is not really a place for foodies, rather British teenagers paradise. So the hotel dinner was a much better option than going out. Surprisingly nice entertainment which we would have also skipped if we weren't always late for dinners.

All in all, it was a nice base for travelling around for an affordable price but personally I would prefer staying on the "German side" of the island. Maybe I am just getting old :)))

I can recommend visitng Portals Nous (10-15 min drive from Magalluf) for nice cocktails and respectable surrounding, Soller would be a nice option for those with children, and Valldemossa is a picturesque little village and totally worth a visit. Formentor in Capdepera rather optional, we found it a waste of time...

Reading the reviews on the Sol Guadalupe I am prompted to write another of my own. My husband & I have stayed here twice a year for the last 15 yrs, sad you might think, but no, we love Magaluf (off peak season ,we are in our 50's) and the thought of staying some where else is not an option. This hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean with fresh towels everyday. The restaurant accommodates even the fussiest eater. The pool area is spotless with a huge pool with jacuzzi. Entertainment is a bit hit & miss in the very early & last couple of weeks of the season but there is always something to do. Everything you read in the other reviews are spot on. Give it a try, you won't be sorry. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in May.

The hotel is located close to Magaluf center, at about 5 minutes walking to the beach or to the area with bars and disco clubs, but secluded enough to not be affected by their noise during the night.

Avoid 1st and 2nd floors (poor view due the therrace and noisy) - in addition to the 1st floor there is a closed terrace (see picture). The best rooms are those with numbers from 1-10 on each floor and of course on the upper floors (larger balcony, partial sea view). Rooms #10 and #12 on each floor are located near elevators, so it's a little more noise. All rooms #01 - #33 (or 901-926 on the top floor) overlook the pool, the rest overlook the street/parking.

The rooms #10 on each floor are the largest (junior suite). Rooms are large, recently renovated with new furniture, with down tiles that mimic wood, as well as in the bathroom. In room there is a sofa bed for 2 persons (in junior suite).

The bathroom is large with plenty of glass, including part of the wall to the room, equipped with various items (razor kit, shower cap, but no body lotion or shampoo).

Parking costs 5 EUR/day, vault costs 30 EUR/week and WiFi costs 1 hour - 4 EUR, 1 day - 11 EUR, 3 days - 20 EUR, 7 days - 30 EUR.

At check-in you get a Kathmandu pass, which offers one free admission to The House, a round of 18-holes mini golf at Golf Fantasia in Palma Nova and 50 % reduction in other Katmandu Park attractions.

The staff was very helpful, on arrival we got cold dinner in the restaurant (we had check-in after midnight). There are artistic programs and sport contests for children and adults during daytime and evening shows. The pool is very large with a jacuzzi and pool snack-bar and two swimming pools for children.

The restaurant is large, with international cuisine and plenty of sea food. Food is very good and varied. Decent price for drinks at lunch and dinner.

Room Tip: Avoid 1st and 2nd floors. The best rooms are those with numbers from 1-10 on each floor and of cours...
