Oh how I wish the moaners would go away. The staff are wonderful (treat everyone the way you expect to be treated and you won't go wrong) the public areas are very good especially since the refurbishment. Rooms are comfortable, clean and the sea views are lovely. The food is also good and hey if there's nothing you fancy on the menu go out I'm sure you can afford it especially for what you pay for this hotel. Any problems are very quickly rectified as an example air con found not to be working at 7.30 pm reported to reception on our way out for the evening and upon our return the problem was sorted. This was our 24th visit over 14 years and we will be returning next year for our 25th visit. We travel quite a lot and would never stay in any hotel that wasn't up to standard let alone return year after year. Please don't be put off by the negative reviews as this hotel offers very good value, keep up the good work Carlos and all the wonderful staff see you next year

Room Tip: sea views a must

3. How was the facilities.... Very good spa, jacuzzi, out door pool, next to beech, wifi. 8
4. How was the breakfast... Great. 10
5. How was the food and bar..... Was something to eat and drink for everyone of all ages. 9
6. How did we sleep..... Excellent but ask for beach view room or you will get noise. 10

To all the guests that complained about this hotel, you must be mad the food is of continental style but they try and cater for the British more, I think you have to remember you are in a hotel and another country and things some time take a little longer but worth the wait, just one more mention remember treat the staff with respect and try and use a little of there language and they will treat you with the respect you deserve and you will have a fabulous holiday in this great hotel.

Room Tip: Room over looking beach

Myself, partner and two friends stayed in the Flamboyan Caribe for a week from 1/10/13 until 8/10/13 - aged 21,23,25 and 26. Overall the hotel wasn't bad, but some aspects need improvement. We paid around £400ish each for all-inclusive, a cheap late-year get away for some last minute sun.

We arrived around 11am having been travelling since 1am. We were told our rooms weren't ready and that we'd have to wait for them to be cleaned. We waited until 2pm to get into the rooms, which wasn't a great first impression. The hotel staff were lovely, but understandably we were frustrated at this.

The hotel itself is in a great location, right on the beach and a minute away from the lively strip. The rooms were clean, tidy and basic. Our air-con was faulty, leaving a puddle in the middle of the room and our friend's toilet leaked after flushing, but apart from that, decent really. The pool and sunbathing area was nice - only thing I could recommend is that there be a bar by the pool, save you trekking up 2 flights of stairs to get a drink mid-day. The bar area was nice and the reception area modern. Drinks were good, plenty of selection and very strong measures!

The biggest let-down on this holiday was the food..
The food wasn't great and to be honest, despite paying for all-inclusive, if it wasn't for not having enough Euros, we would have ate out instead. We ate out towards the end of the week - opting for McDonalds over the hotel food. The food selection was poor and it wasn't helpful that we didn't know what we were eating. The use of food labels like 'pig' and 'fish' don't fill you with confidence. One tea time I had 'chicken and noodle soup' that turned out to have half sliced boiled egg in and numerous other vegetables (probably from the day before/lunch time). If it wasn't for chips/rice I don't think I would have ate anything else at lunch/dinner times.
We thought it was maybe just us who didn't like the food, but a number of other visitors expressed the same views. If you go, you're better off being half-board and eating out!

Overall the hotel wasn't bad, although we wouldn't return to this hotel.
We paid £400, so really we can't complain. We were told that someone else had paid £800 for the same.. I'd be genuinely gutted!
We stayed in a 4* hotel in Cyprus last year and it was truly amazing.. this hotel is definitely not a 4* hotel - but then it's true what they say, some 4* hotels in Spain are the same as a 2* hotels in the UK!

Room Tip: Go half-board and eat out if you like decent food.

Yet again the Flamboyan Caribe steps up to the mark!!!. A great room overlooking the sea, the Restaurant has extended their food options offering Gluten Free and Diabetic food available every day!. The Staff were very pleasant and the new look of the Reception Area was fab.
A truly relaxing holiday by the sea, with lots of walks , lovely food and a great trip around the Island completed our stay!!!. We will be back!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side overlook the Sea...

We are in our late 40's , so were leaving a fair review, given our respective age. On arriving at the hotel as you glance at the front of the hotel from outside getting off the coach, there is no way it strikes you as a 4 star. The reception has been renovated, but, thats about it, thats the only thing that even resembles four star. I can honestly say, we had the worst food that was ever imaginable given out to humans in the meat range. One night, we were given it said TURKEY, it was indeed, yes turkey, but, what you did not realise was it was "turkey neck" with the round shape of the neck intact with bone and feathers plucking through the gravy and very dangerous if kids put it on their plate ect. It truly was a disgusting site I will never rid my mind of. The diners were in disgust at seeing this. There was cabbage stew, merky cabbage leaves, sticking out of water and rabbit pieces in gravy one meal time. Also on the fresh fruit there were ants on the peaches and plums one evening and no one seems to flicker an eye lid to this like it is normal etc the staff just carried on regardless in the dining room. If you are going here do not stay all inclusive or half board as it's not worth this money your paying. There is nothing for children to eat at mealtimes. What lets this hotel down terribly is the food, It should not be given to pets let alone for human consumption. Its almost like because they have so many food sittings in the day, that, the quality of the food is compromised as a result. That they have to put cheap parts of meat on to keep cost down. Your then charged 3 euro's for a soft drink or charged for water in the dining room too which people were not happy about. Then the minute the particular meal sitting is finished, lights are turned out at the main switch board fuse box, so you are all sat there with no lights on unless its day time and when the lights all go off, as do the drinks machines, tea, coffee's cold drinks all go off when main fuse box is switched off. It's so humiliating to seen his been done you just cant believe how RUDE this hotel is. Same as the outside area's, if your sat on the bar overlooking the sea around 11.30pm when the bar shuts all the same happens all lights so rudely turned off and it's pitch black and doors are locked so if anyone has mobility problems you would really get hurt or fall as you have to walk around to front of the hotel.. The staff the majority are lovely especially the reception staff and the cleaning ladies in the room are lovely And the bar staff always smiling.... Staff sometimes looking a bit glum in the dining area down stairs. But on the whole, the staff are nice and cant say anything about them. It is just the food the hotels biggest let down which is down to the management and directors fault, not the staff of course. The rooms have seen better to be honest and when you go walking in the vicinity you realise how other 4 stars look to this one and you just find your self wishing you had looked more into the other hotels and not stayed at this one. Really did not enjoy this holiday nor would ever go half board all inclusive ever again in this region of Spain it truly put me off food that much. But For 11 euros a day, thats breakfast and evening meal aprox cost, you can go eat at Tom Browns on the seafront parade a lovely place and all english food. Thats what We sadly had to resort to doing for the last 4 days of my half board stay going out to eat and the best place is Tom Browns..... Really nice!

Room Tip: Dont get a single room, not good, and ask for a view overlooking the sea but on a high level so you...

We stayed here for a long weekend in October. The hotel is of a good standard, clean, modern and with friendly efficient staff. It's location was its main selling point, right on the beach and close to the strip. The pool is a little small so we used the beach. The two hot tubs are a great idea and are busy most days. We did not chose the all inclusive option but it appeared a bit tacky with long queues at the bar for drinks in plastic glasses. Breakfast was fine and a lovely view of the beach. All in all a good hotel and really not worthy of some bad reviews given by some kids, who unless mummy was their to look after them would always have something to complain about. I would reccommend this hotel.
