“Clean, lovely views, close to night life...good.”
Reviewed 1 September 2012

Stayed here from 26th -30th August. This is a good hotel. Your rooms are cleaned everyday and your given fresh towels. Staff are very friendly, food is good but evening drinks are not included with your meal (half board).

Its located right at the top of the strip. People moaning about the hill need to get a grip. Its close to the beach too and you can get into the sea from the hotel. We had a seaview room and it was such a good view. Our room was not small, BUT the lack of air con. was a problem for us. When your getting ready for a night out, and sleeping, its just too hot. They could also do with a fridge to keep your water cold. It was a quiet place to chill in the day with a mixed age of people and couldn't hear any noise in the night, but then we were out till 5am when most bars close.

Its not much to upgrade to all inc. from HB (about 18 euro a day) worth it if you don't skip breakfast etc and drink by the pool, but its so cheap to buy drinks and food at the local restaurants and supermarkets.

Magalluf is not for families! Seeing people on the strip with children was just not the place for a child to be, nor do I think its for older people at peak season times of the year. Its a young persons party place. BCM's is the best nightclub you'll ever go to!

I LOVE MAGALLUF. Going back next year. Would stay in hotel again IF they get air con.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room.

Stayed here as a couple 18-28 Aug 2012. On arrival, were quickly checked in by reception but had to wait an hour for room to be ready. Room was nice and very clean, as was the bathroom with a beautiful view of the sea - did not find the lack of AC a problem as fan did the job. We stayed on a half-board basis and found the food to be pleasant, however it did lack variety on a few occasions as the hotel seems to cater more for spanish, french etc No english food labelling was used which was frustrating at times. Price of drinks was also reasonable. The hotel is close to both Magalluf and Palmanova and we didn't experience a lot of noise, there is a good supermarket just across from the hotel for the likes of water, snacks etc We had no trouble with the 'hill' though can become annoying in the afternoon heat! The pool was large and very clean and we always managed to find a sunbed. Would return again!

Room Tip: High up room (Floor 7/8) with a sea view - Floor 5 is below dining room

Stayed here for my annual girls holiday All Inclusive and couldn't fault it! Right near the nightlife but doesn't feel like you are in Magaluf. Bar staff friendly and food is good!
Deffo would stay here again! Excellent!

My husband and I, both in our fifties, stayed at the Florida for a short break in August. Before going we were both stressed after reading some of the negative reviews about the hotel. However, upon arrival our fears were alleviated as we were met by lovely reception staff and a welcoming reception that was large and airy. We stayed in room 604 which was basic, as you would expect from a three star, but very clean so that was another bonus after the negative reviews. I was also happy with the size of the room because I was expecting a 'hamster cage' as written in a review that I read. We found the room fine and suited us. The bathroom was spotless and the hand and bath towels were provided and they too were clean. As you would expect from Majorca it was hot - part of the holiday expectation - but the ceiling fan provided adequate cooling ; if you read about the hotel before you will know that there is no air conditioning. We stayed on a full board basis and again, due to the inaccurate reviews we were quite distressed about booking this. We were delighted to find that the restaurant was bright, clean and offered a breathtaking view of the bay. The selection of food was very good and there was something for everyone. On one of the reviews someone had complained about soggy chips! Any chips left go soggy so if you want crispy chips then wait for the new ones to come out. Overall the food was fine with an excellent selection of salads and hot foods; non of the food during our week was regurgitated so naturally we were relieved at this. The rude managers that we read about certainly were not there during our stay and all of the staff were helpful and courteous. I have read reviews about people being asked to change into suitable clothing for eating but lots of people had sun tops and swim wear underneath. It is only manners to enter a restaurant looking decent so for me that is definitely a plus point. It is at the top of a hill but that should not be a negative for the hotel. If you can't manage the hill find a place that is flat and don't moan about it! Try Amsterdam. Majorca is not a flat island you will see that as you fly in or if you have researched your holiday. There are however hotels on the front that are not challenging in terms of walking but they will cost you much more; I suggest you try these if you 'can't manage the hill'. Overall we had a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 6th floor are on the reception level so you will hear noise from there and is on the sa...

Me and my boyfriend decided to stay in this hotel as we had heard a lot of good reviews from it, but once we arrived unfortunately this was not the case! when we first turned up it seemed quite pleasant, we walked in out the boiling heat to a lovely air conditioned lobby and friendly reception staff who booked us in. Once getting to our room we started to have our doubts after we realised it was VERY small and VERY basic. we didnt even have a fridge to keep our drinks cold in the boiling weather which was wasnt happy about, we had to drink warm water in our room or go buy it cold and drink it whilst it was still cold. which meant us having to go to the vending machine in the reception where it was 1.65euro for a small water! other than that we had a nice balcony with a spectacular view of the sea and lizard island. we were half board so at 7pm we went down for dinner, i went wear a pair of shorts and a top which was showing some of my belly and i was confronted by the manager who told me i was not allowed to eat unless i changed my top and covered my belly! i found this quite unbelievable considering there was girls walking in around in hot pants/knickers with their bum cheeks showing! i was quite offended. After changing my offensive top we then proceeded to have dinner where we found a buffet which looked very nice, there was a large variety of food to choose from which was exciting, but we soon found the quality didn't match up to the presentation! we also found the plates and glasses dirty on some occasions. The waiters were more than friendly to us, but unfortunately the manager was as miserable as can be as he walked around the restraunt looking at everyone and making us feel very uncomfortable. After dinner we decided to go out and explore the area ( the magaluf strip ). After arriving back we were confronted by the manager who rudely demanded our room number before allowing us in and was totally unfriendly. Neither me or my boyfriend have ever felt as uncomfortable as we did in this hotel. We would defintely not ever stay here again.

Room Tip: if you dare stay here then get a room with a sea view as the view is absolutely lovely

i have just came back from a week to the hotel florida in magaluf. I am 21 and went with my friend.
the hotel was perfect for what we needed. it was really close to the strip of pubs down a big bank. couldnt walk down and up it if have problems with walking. but taxis are easy to access and are cheap.
hotel was quite and very clean. we booked half board but upgrated to all inclusive when we arrived for an extra 101 euros extra for the week. whick was well worth it buy the amount of lovely food and varity of drinks (soft and alcohol).
the hotel was mostly full of french and spanish some english. it didnt bother us as we only used the pool area or went out to the beach which wasnt far at all.

i would recommand this hotel if u want a lively holiday on a night but what the comfort and relaxation during the day. overall it was a perfect holiday..

Room Tip: ask for a pool side view it faces on to the sea. amazing scenery

Ok so I did come on a cheap holiday but the hamster cages they call rooms are a joke. Want another joke ? I don't enjoy walking so far home after a night on the razz I did read that the hotel was "close to the nightlife" by the time we'd got to the top of the hill we were all done in maybe I'm too old for this. Food was good for two days then it got regurgitated over the next few days. The "strip" is full of stag and hen parties and you can drink till brekkie at least some things stay as good as you remember. Would not be put off Magalluf but will do more research into hotels before I book.
