Because of it's location, ie: out of the way and in a safe zone away from the strip. You can actually sit down, drink yourself into oblivion and have a decent conversation, albeit one that doesn't make much sense, with your friends or family, without scantily clad bar maids thrusting their chests in your face encouraging you to drink even more.
The price and the quality of alcohol is reasonable and you only get hassled by young girls freelancing trying to sell shots, for as long as you can tolerate them. Some of these lady's are quite intelligent and will embark on a non profit making conflab with you, however there are others that have to be told in no uncertain terms, you do not want their foul tasting potions.
This was our location of choice for post dinner drinks and post war night caps. On one night we spent all our time their, because it was a good atmosphere and didn't have the energy or tolerance to endure the strip. Handy for those major sporting events as it has several big screens, and the service is excellent.
If the real truth be known, it was directly opposite our hotel, and we knew once we were at Manos, the route was pretty straight forward to bed.
Go give it a try, they will make you very welcome.
