Having read reviews prior to departure I was a little worried as to what I had let myself into. However despite arriving at 1 in the morning, the staff were able to allocate us our rooms quickly and we immediately purchased a safety deposite box (15 euro for the week). The rooms are basic, but all have a balcony, en-suite and air-con which is hugely effective so the facilities are more than adequate. However I was joined on this trip by 5 other males all aged 18 so the purpose of the trip was to sample the nightlife, so whilst returning to the hotel at 5/6 in the morning, to be woken by the useless cleaners at 9/10 everyday does not go down well even when you put the do not disturb sign on the door, and the reason as to why i found them useless is well, they made the beds and that was it, didnt sweep the floor which looked like a beach by the end of the week and the sheets and towels were not changed at all throughout our 7 night duration which in warmer climes is disgusting. The food in the hotel was mixed, with the diet consisting mainly of lettuce, melon, chips and ice-cream and a rock hard roll each night. Unfortunately i was never up early enough to taste breakfast! However this did not matter as there are loads of cafes where you can get a huge fry-up for about 5 euro (Rambo's is really good, the owner is a great chap) so plenty on options for the hang-over cure. The location of the hotel is ideal, which it being about a 5 minute walk down to the beach and then just a couple of minutes on to the strip.

This hotel is not the Ritz and if you go there expecting it to be so then you are obviously going to be disappointed, I mean for 240 euro for 7 nights on half board this hotel is severe value for money, providing what you need for a realistic price and providing nothing more. Don Juan is a hotel that caters for all, from youngsters on clubbing holidays, to families and we even met a group of 13 church-going women from Michigan, USA, so its target market is certainly diverse, and in my honest opinion it caters to everybodys needs to a satisfactory standard.

after reading the reviews on this hotel i was a little worried, but what can i say no need to worry at all, it was just me and my bezzie mate who stayed at the don juan, we only stayed for 3 night from the 21st of june, we just went to party for a couple of days! and party we did! ive been back for days and still havnt recoverd!! hahahah. the hotel was clean and friendly, the food wasnt up to much but what we only paid for b+b and when we got there they gave us half board which was a bonus! it was close to the main strip but not too close so you can sleep if you want ( well i wouldnt call 2 hours sleep in 3 nights sleep) its about 10mins walk to the beach but there are shops and bars and stuff on the way down. mano's bar is nice through the day and there is a couple of little english bars round the corner where the food is dead cheap and nice too. we went last year to magaluf and stayed at the baracuda/pax which is just up the road, when we went it was very lively but we had a wonder up this time and it seems they are aiming this hotel alot more for families and older couples so dont stay there is you will feel bad about making noise!!! all in all the hotel was a bargin, we booked through travel republic.com and we paid £60 for 3 nights half board! so you carnt moan at that.. the entertainment is a little naff but the guy who runs it is awsome he is so funny and tries so hard. plus the fact that no-one wants to join in cos there too hungover!! there were a few familes and a few older people but mainly young in there twenties, so if you are a family and have booked i woundnt worry too much the noise wasnt bad and everyone goes to the main strip at like 10pm and then sleeps all day!! have a great time if you stay here we did!!!! :-) p.s we didnt get broken into so god knows where them reports came from, but if your worried then just put your "do not disturb " sign on your door and only let the maid clean when your there the maids come round quite late morning!!!!!! seeya!!

Having read the terrible reviews on this hotel lets just say I was very apprehensive about staying here. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon and was welcomed by the friendly reception staff who immediatley allocated us our room. Upon arrival I purcahsed a safety deposit box which is situated in the room, the reveiws had stated that there were so many thefts in this hotel even the safety boxes were broken in to (Apparantly!!!).

The hotel wasn't particulary quiet but what do u expect u r in Magaluf!!! There was a full English Breakfast every morning which was gorgeous. The tea wasn't brilliant but it was edible.

The beach was a fair walk compared to other Hotels but we didn't mind because it allowed me and my mate 2 have a look in the shops on the way down.

Overall I would 100% stay at this hotel again, its a clean and friendly hotel.

As we went in a very off-peak time, end of March, I can maybe understand much of the poor reviews due to these being from people who travelled in the peak summer times

When we went, the hotel was predominantly host to pensioners on their breaks, so the atmosphere was very calm. The staff were lovely and the place was nice and clean, full stop.
As for the FOOD.... very happy! I don't get the bad reviews as I thought the variety of foods was brilliant, rices, potatoes, many types of meats, salads, it was just choices galore! I'm not a fussy eater at all but that doesnt mean I think everything i eat is nice, but honestly, the food here was very tasty. and for the boring uncultured people out there, there is always chips for you...

location was great, not far from the beach and the main strip etc
Wouldnt know what it would be like for noise in the summer.

Nice pool view and probably the nicest hotel bathroom i have been in, in a long time.

No complaints and for 20euro a head per night INCLUDING half board food... it would be a crime to complain.

Enjoy. x

I would just like to start by clearing a few things up. 1st the hotel was basic as you would expect but clean. 2nd there was not a huge selection of food but was edible, just may not have been to everyones taste but it was so cheap to stay you could have eaten out. 3rd amazing pool area caught sun all day long. 4th there was entertainment albeit not very good but still something else to do which is free.5th walls are paper thin but so are most hotels grab a ccouple of hours by the pool the following day. I stayed here with a friend and for what we paid it was brilliant, expect basic and you will be thrilled with your stay.
