we got moved to this hotel after a issue with the booking company and im so glad we did.

the reception staff was very friendly on arrival and our room had four beds when there was only two of us so plenty of space. The air conditioning worked and our room was ok temeprature wise. The view was great as we was on the 5th floor and we overlooked the neighbouring hotel fergus barracuda. The maid came daily and replaced towels and gave our room a quick tidy.

the land round the hotel was great as it had two pools one where music was played throughout the day and it was great for socialising and making most of all inclusive drinks. Was always a good atmosphere and the other pool mainly had spanish people round it but was also good because it was a lot deeper. You could also use fergus barracudas pool and bar which was a great element of booking this hotel as that was more of a 18-30's vibe.

location wise i thought this was a good distance as it wasnt far to the strip but furthur away enough to not get to woken up by all the music and noise, there was a path across from the hotel with steps down to this beach and was literally a 1minute walk.

the food however was a bit of a let down but it was magaluf and it was a cheap holiday, if your fussy there is choice of chips and pizza, but even that isnt the best. There was always vegetarian option and plenty of fruit and bread but the majority of people was too hungover to eat anyway. you could only get one inclusive drink at a time and the que did get quite big and night so we also bought our own rushkinoff is $2.95 for a bottle that would usually be £9 here so it was great.

i would definately come back here again as i loved the hotel its location and the vibe however i would try not to loose the safe key next time as w had to pay a $30 fine on our last day there was no budging the reception lady for letting us off even though we had all our clothes out on the floor infront of her but i suppose it could of been worse.

i would definately recommend this hotel if your 18-30's but want a ok nights sleep!
and the nightlife in maga was just amazing!

Room Tip: rooms round the front of the hotel overlook magaluf and the sea. you can see all the nightlife and b...

My Fiancé and I stayed at the PAX in September 2013. The reviews were awful and we expected the worse, but we wanted a cheap 5 night sun and clubbing break so were happy to slum it.
What a surprise we had when we arrived, it was nothing like the reviews!
The food was excellent, lovely and fresh with plenty of choice at every meal. One pool was closed for maintenance, but the other larger pool was fine with more than enough sunbeds for everyone.
Our room was massive, spotlessly clean, large bathroom, and a great balcony. My only gripe was the noise from those 'late night stop outs' echoed down the corridors along the tiled floors, under the door and into the room....but that our only gripe, and very small at that!
The staff were wonderful too, always smiling, and very helpful.
This is fact: The Pax is a much better hotel than the Barracuda, end of story!
In all honesty, we had a cracking time, we are both in out late 40's, love to party with whatever age, and would have no problem at all returning.

Room Tip: Get to the bar and 'get on it'. What else do you go to Magaluf for?

My wife an I were very let down with our experience at the Fergus Pax too much young stags and hens. Will def not return their. The meals were good and the staff were nice and friendly. Not very much entertainment in the hotel at night maybe because the time of year we went. The hotel I could not fault for cleanliness and around the pool was washed down every morning before the guests went down

Room Tip: Facing the sea you get the sun on balcony until 2pm before it moves away

This is a lovely hotel for so cheap! Me and 2 friends stayed in June for 6 nights. All inclusive and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but had everything we needed with a balcony and a nice view. The pool is nice and the beach is a short walk away. Honestly the food was so much better than we expected! Lovely breakfast with juices, croissants, all sorts of eggs bacon sausages etc. for dinner there was paella, pasta, meats, salads, chips, a wide range and varied every day. Would definitely recommend for a cheap and cheerful holiday with friends.

Came here for a hen weekend with 13 other girls, check in was easy enough and the hotel is situated very close to the strip and beaches. Pool was fine, security are very quick to discipline especially boys. one guy had his inclusive band cut off him because he threw a burger in the pool & another was told at 2am to get outside for 2 hours after disturbing a guest in the night. Staff were friendly, housekeeping were nice. Room was fine, although why we had 4 beds in a 3 person room all put together i don't know... There is no wifi despite it being advertised in the reception area, it literally never works I get the impression this is always the case as the hotel does not want to pay. the bar is ridiculous!! there is one inside but it is never open it is always the one outside, guests are only allowed a 2 drink maximum at a time, this is fine in the day by the pool but in the evening we though we could get drunk in the hotel then go out- no the que is around 25 mins long for the bar, absolute madness!! It isn't the place for families so beware. Overall it isn't mad- it is clean its just the lack of wifi, the bar and the food that lets it down, the food really is vile. Not much option at all and doesn't vary day to day.

I stayed at the fergus pax hotel in June 2014 for ten days. There was 5 of us and luckily enough we all got to share one room. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was very good and there was no need to eat out although the hotel was close enough to many beach bars if it felt necessary. The beach was a 2 minute walk away and the strip was 15 minutes away so it didn't keep us up at night. The hotel bar staff weren't stingey with the vodka and the lifeguards were a lovely piece of eye candy overall the staff made us feel so welcome and I really enjoyed my stay here. Will be back next year!

If you are a family or a couple then this probably isn't for you, it is good if you are in a group and have came to party, but don't want the music to be blasting so loud you have to shout to communicate (if that's what you'd prefer then try the sister hotel next door, which was wild).
The pools were both fine, freezing but they are in most hotels and you quickly get used to it.
I slept through breakfast everyday as they stop letting people in at 10am, but I made the last day, where I found it to be the nicest meal of the day. The food is nice but very repetitive so if you're staying a while you may get sick of it, but there is a lovely fish shop a few minutes down the road that does a good kebab!
The staff always tried their best to be helpful, but their English wasn't very good, so communication was sometimes difficult.
The cleaners came to our room every morning just before 10, and popped their heads in to see if we were up, if we weren't they came back later, and always did a good job tidying the mess that we left, they didn't speak a word of English and often 'signed' minutes to us on their fingers to ask when they should come back. We left them a considerable tip, because after putting up with our mess everyday they deserved it!!
The bar staff were friendly, the drinks were watered down but still got you drunk, vodka slushes were the best, (they don't measure their spirits out). The lager being served was San Miguel.
There was no entertainment but they played music every night and took requests, and came round with a pack of cards trying to get people to play ring of fire (a drinking game) this is definitely worth playing!!
Me and my friends are already booking our next trip back!! If you aren't a snob and are just here to relax and party, then you will like this hotel!
