Myself and 2 other friends (All 18) stayed in this hotel from the 29th of August til the 4th August. We had no expectations of the rooms and from reading other reviews and hearing stories from other people we were all rather hesistant but booked anyway. I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays in my life.

We were quite a loud group of girls who were up until all hours of the morning, and we didnt have any complaints. We were on the fourth floor in an end room (410) and had a room which had 4 beds, two singles and two sofa beds. We moved one of the sofa beds into the bedroom so that we could all be together and moved it back at the end of the week, which was fine. We also had a bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet and sink. Basic, but enough for us. We also had a kitchen with a working hob, cups, mugs, microwave and toaster. We also had a fridge with a freezer section.

The only problem with our room was that our shower didnt have a hook on the wall, which meant we had to hold the shower but this was fine. The bathroom also didnt lock but none of the bathrooms myself and my friends came across in Magaluf did and so we just got used to it. There was one electricity port which wasnt working in the kitchen, but again this didnt bother us so we felt no need to complain. On one occasion when we needed new towels, I went down to reception and asked for new ones and all they asked me to do was bring back the old ones, which was understandable.

About the lifts, I dont really know why everyone is complaining. Yes they were small, but they worked perfectly fine and there was not one occasion during our stay that they broke. Infact, myself and my friends normally dont use lifts but we felt comfortable enough to.

The hotel also includes free wifi, which is great. The reception has very fast internet whilst the rooms have internet which is not as fast, but it still works.

Around the hotel, there is Susies bar, which is owned by Alan and his mother. Alan is one of the nicest people ever! Really cheap drinks, good music and cheap food, and it was perfect for us. We went to Susies every day and were not disappointed. Underneath the hotel there is also a Spar, which sells alcohol, sweets, food, normal drinks and all the basics. If you find this expensive, theres also a BIP and a privately owned supermarket in the square next to the hotel which was perfect. Theres also a bar opposite reception and this has pool tables and stuff inside, but I never ate or drank there.

To the strip it is about a 5 minute walk, and just outside the hotel is a bar called 'jokers' and Coco Bongos. There is also the Boston Bar. I would highly reccommend Linekers which is near the beach, but the workers again are very friendly. The beach is about a 5 minute walk again, and if like us you have a beach view, it is lovely to look at. The beach in Magaluf is so nice during the day time and my friends decided to go here rather than the pool in Sol Y Vera, which wasnt too big. During busy periods, there were no sunbeds around the pool but dont be fooled as there are other sunbeds you can lie on, we just chose to go to the beach.

The rooms themselves are fairly clean, the only thing we found was there was lots of sand on our floor but that was due to ourselves rather than the hotel, as if you dont go to the beach, there wont be any sand. We found that we could have had some washing up items, but all is available at spar just under the hotel.

The hotel wasnt in a loud location, and was in perfect moderation to the strip to somewhere much quieter. I found that it was perfect for a girls holiday for us aged 18, but would also be good for the elder travellers.

I could not knock this hotel at all. They are updating each floor during season and they have just done the higher floors, and so if you wanted a more upmarket room I would suggest asking for one of these, however our room was perfect for our little group.

I loved this hotel and myself and my friends are excited to book again for next year.

Room Tip: Rooms ending in 8,9 and 10 have sea views, and rooms ending in 10 are right at the end so you wont have people walking past your door. Higher floors have just been renovated and so are all up to date.

This is our 3rd stay in this hotel & have to say yet again it didn't dissapoint us, it's in an excellent location for all the bars & clubs. Close enough to stumble back at daft o clock in the morning after a rolling out of panama jacks.
the hotel is by no means 5* but this was a girls holiday so we didn't care, the rooms are however immaculate & they were cleaned and towels changed every other day.
Susies pool bar has fab cheap drinks & Alan & his mother are mint! Nothing is too much bother for them & really friendly.
i would def reccomend these apartments.

We stayed at the sol y Vera from the 5th-12th June 2013. We were a party of 8 girls in 3 rooms all next to each other. We were pleasantly surprised when we seen the rooms they were lovely, the manager upgraded us to the top floor for no extra cost, the rooms have just been done out and they were lovely, very comfortable Sofa's and beds. Shower was powerful with plenty of hot water :).
Wifi isn't the best in the room but all you have to go is go down to reception, this is the only hotel I know that does free wifi in your room so I wouldn't complain.
The room was cleaned 3 times with fresh towels and bedding in the 7 days so I was pleased with this.
We seen a few ants but told reception and they were straight up sprayed something and never seen the ants again.
The location is great, can't say a bad thing about this hotel. I would definitely recommend.
If any of the management is reading this, I'm thinking of going back in September, would you send me your email address so I could book direct with you.
Thank you xx
