Ranked #13 of 30 Hotels in Magaluf

This hotel really is in the wrong resort, anywhere else it would fully deserve it's 4* rating, but is fighting a losing battle in Magalluf due to the location & noise from the late night/early morning revellers in the vacinity, had to get up to shut the patio door at5 & 6 in the morning more than once, due to shouting/singing from below the hotel. My wife & I(mid 50s) chose the hotel because of the easy access to Palma Nova & Magalluf & being part of the Bahia Principe group, We were immediately disappointed to find the dress code(Bahia site) requiring men to wear long trousers for evening meal was not adhered to or even required, though they probably had no chance with some of the groups of lads there, but come on, beach shorts & vest is not really appropriate, some of the food could have been warmer, no microwave to reheat, 187 rooms but only 54 sunbeds & 6 brolleys, safe 3 euros a day, fridge was topped up, as stated on website,ie, will be restocked twice a week, just ask, all tea & coffee is from a machine, evening drinks in the bar are served in glasses, unless you're young, then it's still plastic, we realise this is taring all the young with the same brush, but it probably comes from experience, though during our stay we did not witness any unruly behavior, in house animation was generally dire & not very organised, outside entertainers were the usual,Hotel is at top of a very steep hill, agree that staff are excellent, standards throughout the hotel are good, rooms very good, views fabulous. It is a difficult hotel to review, it depends on your age & expectations, Magalluf on the other hand is easy, avoid unless your under 25, we couldn't believe how it had degenerated since we were last there in 1990, there are better resorts for families & older couples.

Room Tip: Virtually all rooms face the sea, may be a little quieter higher up.

Myself and a friend were looking for a reasonably priced, affordable hotel to stay, whilst on a week long clubbing holiday in Maga'. The Bahia Principe provided this, with its exceptional hospitality and catering. Located on the 'top of the hill' as its known to the local british residents and workers. Its a 2 minute walk away from the main action of the strip, but the hotel still maintains its quietness and no tolerance to anti-social behaviour.

What surprised me the most about the hotel was the range of nationalities and cultures. It seemed to attract a lot of spanish residents, coming over from the mainland, most of which were there for 'restbite' which I thought was very ironic, however most of the holiday makers staying in the hotel had a positive attitude, and everyone there was happy and very excitable which made the general atmosphere very enjoyable.

With regards to the staff, they were very helpful. There were always 2-3 staff at reception, day and night, 1 of the receptionists acting in a security role at night, which with his presence made me feel very secure. Every morning they would offer suggestions on day trips, and local transport around the area.
As we booked a package holiday with Thomas Cook, we would sometimes need assistance on times of excursions, and meetings with the reps, ect, the staff were very clued up on Thomas Cook and all travel companies, which was a real help to me personally.

on the whole, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, on any type of holiday they wish to pursue, as it caters for everyone.

Me and my friends came to this hotel on the 14th June 2013 as a girls holiday. We all had a great time but there was a couple of flaws which we were not aware of at the time of booking (booked with Thomas Cook). First thing that we all noticed was this massive hill, if anyone had walking difficulties they wouldn't be able to get back to the hotel thank god there was a pub (Oasis) we went into for a break half way up the hill. The hotel rooms were absolutely spotless and nice, the view was outstanding, but do not listen to 'free top up' with the drinks in your fridge that is 100% false advertising. Not one of the groups of people we met had their fridge refilled. Secondly we had an issue with the sun beds, there must of only been around 35-40 beds for this large hotel and people started fights over the sunbeds which I felt was ridiculious as we spent allot of money to go to this Hotel. The staff are GREAT at this hotel they are always up, smiling and working hard which we all loved apart from reception they need to learn to smile. One of the staff members who was an old grump but you knew he was just putting it on, he was a great laugh when he was serving us drinks. Food was fantastic, great choice most nights, couldn't fault the staff in the Restaurant.
The other reviews on the noise I would totally agree with, thankfully the noise wasn't coming from me and my friends but we did make a few phone calls down to reception about noise and they didn't do allot about it. Overall the hotel was fine, for four 20 year olds we weren't expecting 110% perfection. On the plus side we pumped into a bunch of Glasgow girls who were such a laugh and we also met 2 great ladies who were like our mums for the 10 nights (they loved our gossip from our nights out in Magaluf) we missed them loads when they went home.

Room Tip: Go for a high room - Fantastic views!!

Me and my partner stayed here for 10 nights on the 15th june and had a great time. The food was excellent and the service in all areas was superb. The only slight criticism would be how noisy it was from younger groups who were shouting and singing in the early hours of the morning. The view from our room was sensational and it was lovely and clean. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family :)

Myself and my friend chose this hotel with it being 4 star and wanting a relaxing holiday. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were very helpful and polite. There was security cameras on all corridors and only one way in at night. The food was very good and waiter service for drinks in the restaurant even for the all inclusive. If you didn't want to go for lunch there was snacks being served from the pool bar. The pool area was lovely but nowhere near enough sun beds. The bedrooms were nice with a view that was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and there was a fridge with 4 soft drinks 1 can of beer and a litre bottle of water, this was not refilled during our stay of a week. The 2 main faults i found were the large groups of hen and stag parties along with groups of young spanish students, and the prostitutes that hang around outside the hotel which are also known for steeling off people. As for magaluff itself it is a lovely place and very clean, if you don't want to drink on the strip on a night there are lots of other bars and its not much further to walk into Palma nova. I would only come back to this hotel if it quietened down. On the plus side we met some really nice people.

We spent there 7 excellent days. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were cozy and had an excellente view to the beach. Food was nice and varied. The access to the beach by lift or stairs is a great idea. We'll be back.

We just spent a week there in a family group of 13 aged 15-70 on a AI basis (I'm 51 yrs old). This was my first time on a Spanish holiday so don't really have a yardstick for comparison. These are our general views from our stay 25/5-1/6:
The make up of guests during our stay seemed to be 40% British 40% Spanish and others included Russian/East European
The hotel is spotlessly clean, with great staff in all areas, rooms are cleaned to a very high standard every day
The view across the bay is stunning from your balconies, the beds are very firm but that didn't worry me
There is a good variety of food on offer catering for all tastes, with plenty of fresh fruit and salad at all meals. The dining room staff put tables together so our group could all eat together-many thanks
Lifts are a bit slow
Pool area by sunbed can get crowded and the not reserving sunbed rule didn't appear to be enforced. Plenty of tables by bar and the bar staff were very efficient and friendly.
The pool was cold but seemed to warming up by the end of the week
The aircon units didn't work in anyones room just made a noise and pushed hot air around so we had to have windows open and you got some background noise from the strip, which could be a problem in high season
Entertainment in the evening was pretty dire, the same tape being played fro the kids each night
You are only a short walk down a steep hill to the strip, beach access up to 9.30 at night is via lift or stairs from the pool area.
In short, recommended
