Last minute, cheap as chips booking in late October (possibly a week before they shut for Winter), I travelled alone although knew people near by. The room was good, reasonably clean and far too big for one person (I imagine a family room). I did get woken a couple of nights by noisy neighbours and can only imagine what it must be like mid summer. Would I go back? Yes but only out of season, and perhaps next time take up the offer of a cheap all inclusive as the surrounding bars / restaurants aren't cheap. Having said that, the weather was that good I only used the hotel as somewhere to get my head down (Palma is only a short bus ride away and the stop is 100 yards from the hotel).

Room Tip: From what I could gather, a room overlooking the pool may be a lot noisier.

First of all I will mention that our party consisted of two couples in their late 30’s looking for a nice warm relaxing break, but with some cocktail and shot swigging thrown in, to ease us into the cold winter ahead. This 28 degree extended weekend helped that.

We booked this hotel purely because we wanted a cheap weekend break and it was only £19 a night for a room, a no-brainer. I read the reviews, and sensibly came to the conclusion that more people visit the hotel in a week than have posted reviews, and kept an open mind. On arriving at the hotel we were informed that there was a problem with the pipes on one of the floors and they had a shortage of rooms. We were offered to be moved to another hotel or to share one apartment with the other couple we had travelled with (two settee beds in the living area) in return for an upgrade to all inclusive as compensation. We chose the upgrade, advertised at €24 a day, which consisted of free beer/wine/local spirits and food 5 times a day.

First impression of the hotel was that it was clean and tidy. And the staff were friendly enough considering they had put up with 6 months of sun seeking boozers. The rooms were also clean, but did show a few signs of wear and tear, as you’d expect. Though it was not as much as I expected considering the Neanderthals that no doubt inhabit Magaluf in the peak summer months. Yes there was no air con but what do you expect for the price? The two beds in the living area were made up for us whilst we were out ‘exploring’ and they were just the same as the beds in the bedroom. No complaints there. The beds were made each day also.

The drinks were as you’d expect. San Miguel and strong spirit mixers. Who cares if you have to have it in a plastic/paper cup and can only get one at a time? I saw that as preventing guests taking the mick by getting drinks for non-all inclusive friends. We all know the minority spoil it for the majority in the UK so why would Majorca be any different? Hence the list of rules. Is it too much to ask for guests not to flash their privates, smash patio furniture or throw things off balcony’s? Come on grow up! There was also a drinks upgrade list, like tea and coffee or sangria for €1 etc. Come on. Who want’s coffee and tea when it’s 28 degrees. Really????

I thought the food was as a bit hit and miss, and a bit boring. But others in my party thought it was good. Possibly because they eat more fish than me. Breakfasts were possibly the best (espresso’s slurp!) with evening meals being the most disappointing, but even with all-inclusive the chances are you’ll at least venture out of the hotel sometime? Unless your palate has been decimated by years of aftershocks!

As for noise there was a bit in the early hours but not too much and not really worth me mentioning it. There was one female idiot shouting “ogy ogy ogy” at 4am for about 5 minutes until a kind Scottish man told her to button it. But it was mainly people coming back from the strip in the wee hours and the echo their voices made in the corridors. I would expect the same in most hotels on any given weekend in a city centre, and invariably it happens. Especially in a concrete and tiled corridor.

In conclusion I would go back to this hotel again next October half term for a long weekend but I wouldn’t bring children or holiday here in the summer. In fact that goes for the whole of Magaluf. If you have kids or want a bit of a quieter holiday in the summer, yet be able to visit Magaulf, spend a bit more and head for Palma Nova or possibly Port De Pollenca in the north We’ve all seen the Magaluf TV programme. It’s not rocket science. And as for those moaning that it’s a 10 minute walk to ‘the strip’ get a grip!....oh and the hotel is about 5 minutes from the beach and I recommend a lounging day on a four posted bed at The Wavehouse.

looking for a cheapie holiday and thats what we got, 6 women looking for a week of sunshine on the cheap, hotel was basic but clean, good size apartments, comfy beds, we had 3 in each, four might be too tight a squeeze though. Yes it can be noisy at night, but we were a bit noisy ourselves!!! rooms clean, maids came every day, pool area a bit "high jinks" in the afternoon as people made the most of their all-inclusive bar, We didnt eat at the hotel as we were on "room only" but "Arfurs" bar across the park is great value and the staff are brilliant there.
Wouldn't recommend the martinique for families or anyone who wants an early night. But at 51 euro each for a week you get what you pay for.

Fab place to stay if you want a hotel with nice rooms and food included. Thought it was a bargain as the amount of money we would have spent on food outside would have been loads in comparison. Bar stops serving bit early and bar men could be more friendly but everyone else was cool. Buffet is good and breakfast goes on quite late. Not mush entertainment going on at hotel but loads to do outside. There are bars with music right close to hotel if you don´t fancy the main Maga experience every single night! Would go here again maybe in summer when it´s more lively.

Food, everyday the same. Tasted like from Iceland. No aircon in the room. Shower leaking. After every shower we had big paddle in the bathroom and corridor. Staff soso. We went all inclusive and ended up eating out every day. Also the area wasn't to good. All you can find is British pubs, clubs, takeaways. If we would know that we would never come here.

Stayed here for a long weekend in September, after a last minute switch from another hotel I won't name, due to awful reviews of being robbed & far worse..

Anyways.. By golly am I glad we switched.. On arrival at This hotel, we were told our floor had a burst pipe & that we had to stay in the hotel across the road for one night. Because of this inconvienance we were all instantly upgraded too all inclusive for the duration of out holiday!! BONUS! Really can't understand people who say staff were unfriendly! To me everyone seemed so nice, the hotel was clean & tidy, food was delicious with plenty of variety & location is fantastic! Would 1000% recommend this hotel & will deffo return one day! :) x

P.s Magaluf is a party Place, so Hen's & Stag's will be rife in ANY hotels!!
