We spend 10 fantastic days at Son Josep de Baix in June and had the best of times. Online booking and all contact with Guillem was very easy.
Son Josep de Baix is a sanctuary - calm, quiet and good for your heart and soul. The surroundings allows you to slow down and forget everything else. Guillem will show you the hidden secret beaches nearby. We vistited them all and they were all beautiful and different from each other.
Son Josep also have their own little farmshop with local products. The door is always open so if you find yourself in need of ex. jam, wine, herbs, beer, honey or handcraft (small towel, babytoys) all you have to do is cross the yard and have a look in the little shop. I can highly recommend the apricot jam which I absolutely love (- and now miss because I eat it all)!!
Guillem is also available and a easygoing guy who happily answer all your questions. We also had the fortune to meet the wonderful Maria, who also works there. She doesn't speak English but with signlanguage and some creativity thinking you can easily understand eachother.
As you might have guessed we fell in love with Son Josep de Baix! We have been to Mallorca before and stayed (agro-turism) at different areas of this beautiful island. Son Josep has become one of our favorites and we can't deny the possibility of another stay there in the future - I for my part I have started to learn Spanish so I can talk to Maria the next time we visit Son Josep :-)
We highly recommend the place, Guillem and Maria, the surroundings, the local shop and not the least the apricot jam and the peace and quiet (which is possible even if there are families with children staying at the same time.) We also recommend a visit to beautiful Porto Colom, a little town nearby.
Have a nice stay at Son Josep de Baix
Kind regards Katrine
