“Perfect hotel!”
Reviewed 17 July 2012

This hotel was perfect, located 2 minutes from the beach and with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The strip was only 5 minutes walk and meant you couldn't hear the noise if you stayed in. Our room was air conditioned all the time, the beds were comfy and were made almost everyday. The pool was great with lots of sunbeds and chairs to relax outside in the evening. The animation team Steven and Manuel were amazing! They were both lovely guys, and made sure they were entertaining everyone all throughout the day with games during the day (free cocktail for the winners) and a kids disco and bingo at night, where you could even win a bottle of champagne! The only problems we had with the hotel were that our room key would often stop working so we had to ask for new ones, and one night our lock actually broke so that you couldn't open the door if you were inside the room. Because it was late at night they didn't bring anyone to fix it and told us to leave the door open at night which wasn't very safe. They did however fix it for us the next morning and we still got our 100 euro deposit back. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definitely love to go back myself!

This hotel was a key part in such a great holiday as it couldn't have been in a better location, only 2 minutes from a gorgeous beach, and 5 minutes from the Magaluf strip. The pool area was also brilliant and the rooms were secure, the only thing we didn't like was that the reception took our passports overnight when we arrived, and 'locked them up' to process them, when actually you could see them on the desk. When it came to collecting the passports next morning, they just handed us a folder of passports for our room number, to check ourselves if they were ours or not, and in our folder there was actually some total strangers passport which they'd clearly misplaced. Also the room we were allocated to keep our luggage in on our day of departure would've been great, except it was left unlocked all day long.
however, i would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody, thanks to the fab animation team Steven and Manuel, who were the loveliest guys and who took it upon themselves to make sure everyone had a good time, no matter what age. There was never a dull moment with those two, so thanks so much guys! I never thought i'd enjoy bingo! :)

Room Tip: Facing the pool means you don't miss a thing!

Firstly, this hotel is clean and welcoming. All of the staff were extremely helpful! Checking in was simple, although we were presented with a 100 Euro deposit which we weren't aware of (be prepared!) no worries though, you get it back at the end of your stay! It is ideal if you want to be close to the strip, its a 2 minute walk, but if you want a night in, you can't hear the loud music and drunken people! so location 5/5! it's right next to a spar shop and pizzeria and cafes and restaurants, so if you're self catering, you're sorted! It is also a 2 minute walk to the beach! perfect! It's location couldn't be better! The beds are comfortable and the cleaning service was good too! Overall, this hotel is exactly what I wanted! so if you want to be close (but not too close) to the strip you've got it, and the beach, food and daily essentials just down the road. 20meters tops! I would definitely go back there! :)

Group of 4 19 year old girls on a holiday to Magaluf. It was a perfect location, literally 2 minute walk into the strip.

On arrival the man working there couldnt find our booking straight away and then charged us 50 euro deposit each which we were NOT told about. After having to give away such a large deposit we didnt want to break anything so bought our own plastic cups and such. On the first evening we noticed that the glass bathroom door was smashed. We had hardly been in our room and there was no point when any of us knew we'd smashed it. It was not down to us being young drunken girls, it was the first evening with an innocent sober visit to the loo. (seeing as it was one of the only times we had used the bathroom since we had arrived its all it could have been) It was purely down to the poorly made door (metal and glass with nothing to stop them hitting together) which led to us loosing our 200 euro deposit. This had also happened to the room next to us on their first night. We also had a leak in our bathroom which had started long before we even checked in. We complained and were told someone would be out to fix it in the morning. No one turned up and it became almost impossible for us to use electrical things such as hair dryers/straightners in there (the only mirror in the whole apartment). The man on the desk was virtually useless. he didnt seem to care that our bathroom ceiling did not look at all stable. He didnt know how to give us a safe key so we were made to just 'not bother'. The maids were extremely rude. No 'do not disturb' sign so they just barged in and changed the sheets when we were sleeping. We also had an ants nest on our balacony which by the end of the holiday got out of hand and was disgusting. They were there before we arrived so they must have known and not bothered doing anything about it.

Other than these faults the hotel really is good. The entertainers were great. Steven (young blonde guy) was lovely. He got on with us all on a personal level and always made sure to come and say hello to us try and get us to join in on the games. Not many sunbeds but theres plenty of grass area that you can sunbathe on around the pool. The chinese receptionist was absoloutely lovely! Every time we came in after a night out he was there asking how it was and what we got up too. Really hot barman as well who was also really nice. Food was great. We were self catering but always had lunch at the hotel. We were made to turn our music off at 12pm when they also took it upon themselves to turn our balcony light off because of families who were staying at the hotel which is understandable. However the security man barged in and snatched our ipods out of the speakers and the plugs out of the wall which was rude. The air conditioning was a dream. It was never off and we always had good and bareable sleeps.

If you're going for a holiday to Magaluf then its a perfect place to stay. Just ask for a less modern apartment or dont use the bathroom door... because you will loose 200 euros. I would totally go there again.

(we love steven)

Room Tip: newer rooms are so much nicer and modern but they're harder to look after.

when we arrived they had no record of our booking, allocated us a room with someone in it?,
gave us another one double bed wanted twin, third time lucky.our apartment was fine no view.a glass sliding door seperates the bathroom from bed and kitchen area it dosnt close fully this is horrible and not hygenic. The pool looks o.k and i am sure the resturant is o.k we did not eat in the hotel. Most of the "guests"staying were young english and spanish so the partied on and on until 7.30am EVERY NIGHT.The guys staying next to us banged the patio door non stop, there is an ajoining door from each apartment and they kept trying to open the door NIGHTMARE.One night i did laugh at 4.30am one guy decided to "tidy himself up"so when i heard the word razor and shaving foam i got out my ipod and earplugs!!!Securty has no say and other guest are not taken into cosideration. We were moved to a musty room on the third floor this was no better.Palma Nova is lovely we went to the beach everyday to catch up on sleep. If you want a relaxing holiday with some sleep DONT stay at RDM,on the other hand if your 17 to 25 go for it and party on!We stayed in early June.Never again.

Room Tip: First floor seems to have newer apartments
