“Good hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2011

Stayed in this hotel for a week on the 1st floor, very noisy neigbours but we understand people are there to enjoy themselves, returned one evening to find someone had been in our room and had been through all our stuff, furniture moved around, bas emptied etc luckily we had hired a safe and nothing was taken, there were no obvious signs of entry and our key had been at reception whilst we were out, hotel not very helpful but overall food and hotel was nice.

Spent a week at the Palma Nova Palace adult only all Inclusive hotel. Food was very good and always something for everyone’s taste. Good location 5-10 minutes to beach and close enough to return for lunch and to partake in the all inclusive deal. The pool and bathing area is small to accommodate its guests and the area was shaded by about 3.30 ish in the afternoon. Despite notices around the hotel requesting people not to reserve sun loungers by placing towels on them this sadly happened every day. After the second day we decided to give the pool area a miss during the day and headed for the beach. To hire 2 sun beds and parasol was 10.80 euros per day. We felt this to be the best option as we could make the most of the sunshine sun into the early evening where you couldn’t if stayed round the pool. After dinner we usually headed off for a long walk sometimes into Maguluf and then returned by taxi costing just under 5 euros. Drinks in local bars we found reasonable 1.50 to 2.40 euros for a pint. The sprits at the hotel are a bit on the watery side I would recommend you top up with your favourite tipple which you can get from local supermarkets. I would say the average age when we was there to be around late 50’s upwards although later in the week groups of singles lads and lasses started to arrive. Can’t really comment on evening entertainment in hotel as we only came back for the last hour but it appeared to be good and the hotel was always full with residents who happy and content to stay in.

Just returned from this hotel, stayed for 5 nights. Had never done all inclusive so was cautious about how much you could eat and drink. Arrived at 11.45pm and initially my mind was set at ease when I was advised to go to the snack buffet immedietly and that they would keep hold of my bags till I was done. I then went to my room. It was pleasant, the balcony was the best part of it. I woke up and late after a night in magaluf so missed breakfast but went down for lunch. The food was really good with alot of variety and options. One thing I did notice is they like there oil, most food had too much of it but now Im being picky. I ate everything in sight to be fair. You can eat as much as you want with desserts available, fresh fruits etc. The bar was another plus, I would often order 4 drinks and walk back to my table drink em all, then do the same. There was never any problems so you definitly can drink as much as you like. The service was really good, staff are v.friendly and some of the female kitchen and bar staff are v.attractive ;) ... the entertainment is ok, a few time there was a quiz and cabaret, or singing, I was out most of the time so wasnt really into the whole entertainment thing but if thats what your after then there was something for you. Its located near the beach which is a major plus and nearby bus takes you magaluf or palma. All in all thouroughly enjoyable and wouldnt hesitate to go bck again.

Just got back yesterday from a 5day stay and cant say a bad word about the place. The quality and variety of the food was good and constant same goes for the drinks selection alcoholic and not. I highly recommend to go all-in as they do not cut corners on the food or drink and the service is friendly and fast at the bars! lovely marble interior , nice room cleaned daily when best for you , my friend even has a problem with his lock that needed breaking and they arranged to fix this in no time for free id give 4.5 stars if I could.

Just returned from a long weekend here.
Check in was around 1am & we were greeted by a very friendly efficient receptionist, He didn’t take long to explain everything put on out AI wristbands & away we went, found our room without problem which was on the 7th floor overlooking the hotel next door. Our room was adequate & very clean although the beds a little firm for us but either way we slept well & can honestly say we heard no noise from other guests. Air con wasn’t very efficient & when the temperatures soar I can se it being a problem.
We didn’t discover till the last day that the lock on the balcony doors was broken & we completely forgot to tell the staff on check out (If management are reading this it was room 706)
The food was for the most part was very good. Always hot & correctly cooked. Breakfast never changed so got a bit samey, which wasnt too bad for us only doing 3 days but could be a bit much for 2 weeks. I did have one day were I really didn’t like the majority of what was on offer but I still didn’t go hungry & they do serve snacks in the restaurant at set times so I made use of that facility. In the restaurant Tea/coffee & Juices are available at breakfast but not fizzy drinks. Fizzy drinks are available at lunch & dinner but not tea/coffee & juices. At snack times Tea/coffee & juices are available but not fizzy. Wine is always available ???
The staff are really nice they are friendly & most of them have smiles on their faces. We are strong believers in treating all staff politely & that’s what we got back in return. Drinks were plentiful & we always got served very quickly, there was never a shortage of bar staff & they constantly cleared tables of empty glasses. We were happy with the quality of drinks but would have liked Rose wine on offer.
The entertainment room layout is very strange it is a long room with the stage etc at one end so everyone not sat in the immediate area of the stage has to be content with viewing the proceedings via the television link up, entertainment team work really hard & are always smiling.
We had no problem with the behaviour of any guest of any age in the hotel the groups of younger guests that were there all got on well with each other & had a laugh & a joke. The pool area is very very small & compact so you really feel on top of each other all the time so when anyone starts having a laugh it feels like they are being rowdy when they are not. The pool & terrace area are not the best feature of the hotel & I would prefer the beach, which wasn’t that far away.

On check out we did not leave the hotel till 9pm & were not able to keep our room due to the hotel being full but they did provide people with 2 courtesy rooms to make use of which was really good & we got fresh towels after each person used it.

Myself & hubby are in our late forties & can still party with the rest of em & chose this hotel for its AI over 18's & close enough to the fantastic nightlife so we don’t consider ourselves past it or in the least bit stuffy. We had a brilliant stay here & met some very nice people. We would not hesitate to return or recommend too our friends

Palmanova & Magaluf are wonderful places fantastic Beaches nightlife, restaurants pubs etc but are constantly being ruined by the amount of Hen/Stag parties that are there. Some are vulgar & disgusting. They come in their droves & completely take over these wonderful family resorts. If I had taken small children there I would have hated for them to have seen some of the sights that we saw on a daily basis in & around the resorts, Im not talking late at night but during the day & these people should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This is not what I call letting their hairs down & just enjoying themselves it goes far beyond what most people consider common decency. I don’t doubt that these people all have good jobs back home & consider themselves to be sensible people but once they set foot in these resorts then all sense goes out the window & they turn into things that even their own families wouldn’t recognise. I for one would be happy for a massive crack down on this behaviour but I think due to tourism being at a low they are taking the money were they can get it & in the current climate I cannot say I blame them.
Im sorry if I sound like I am generalising & apologise to the groups of Hens & Stags that were there having a fantastic time but causing no problems to anyone.

First of all the hotel was very nice inside and clean and the pool area was nice oh thou parts of it was in the shade and the sunbed scum was crazy, people were camping out on deck chairs from 7am until they was unchained at 9am, there was a rule about not putting towels on sunbeds but this was no enforced. The maid service was very good and the rooms were cleaned every day and left fresh towels every day, the bar service was also good apart from the odd one barman who was a bit abrupt, the all inclusive service was very basic, snacks were very poor, breakfast was fine if you wanted a fry up every morning, cereal choice was poor only 3 cereals and they was museil, cornflakes and sugar puffs, lunch was fine if you wanted a hot buffet meal in the middle of the day but the salad was poor, dinner was pretty much silmar to lunch, deserts were very stodgy. Anyway we enjoyed our stay at the palma nova palace but wouldn't stay there again as we found the all inclusive food side of things poor, we ate out twice just to avoid the same old food, if your looking for a quiet break away it is not really the palace as the hotel does let large groups of young lads/women stay there.

Room Tip: Email the hotel and ask for a pool view
