My partner and myself booked this hotel as a base rather than actually using the facility to put it short and sweet with the exception of spud and his bar at poolside staff were not friendly creatures and could do with a lesson in customer service , I am of the mind that if you are polite and courteous to people then that's generally what you will receive back but not in this case!

Pros- cheap accommodation, good location (apart from the hill), stunning views,
Cons-staff attitude, rooms backpack basic,no kettle or toaster, very tired hotel in need of renovation

Nice low cost hotel in a nice area of Torrenova , Magaluf
The pool area is lovely situated with a good restaurant and bar .
It's not to far to walk to the beach , 10 min but it's a steep hill
and stairs to get there. All the bar and restaurants , shops is on your way down to the beach. Breakfast is OK , not great but not bad.
Downside : Our room was very responsive from the rooms next door and the hallway.
This can become a hassle when neighbors come home late at night
Also our room was full of Old hairballs everywhere , on
the floors , in the toilet and even in the beds.
Chewing gum was on the wall near the beds.
So check the room before you unpack your bag.
Besides the poor cleaning this hotel is worth the money.
Don't miss the lovely sunset from the pool area...... :-)

Room Tip: The rooms on floor 5 is nearest to the pool

After booking the hotel, i decided to check the reviews (which i never normally do) and was shocked to find that people had been robbed and it was the worsted hotel ever, not to stay there!! So as you can imagine i was really worried about my stay there, but on arrival everything was great, as we as arrived two hours before check in time we chilled around the pool in the sun with a beer.. what else could you ask for? The staff were all friendly. The room was on level 2 with an amazing sea view, clean and tidy room but very basic for self catering (but luckily we did not plan to cook in there.) Cleaner came in 6 out of the 7 days we were there and changed the sheets once, towles were holey but i brought my own towels anyway, air con worked with no extra cost (unlike some hotels) we decieded to hire a safe at 28 euro's for the week (Non-refundable) to keep our money and valuables in. There were a couple of nights where there was banging and shouting throughout the floor, but this is expected as it is a five minute walk to Magaluf strip (although stated Palma Nova). The pool area was nice with a lovely view of the sea, the music around the pool wasn't too loud either, but can understand how this would get annoying if you were stayin on the pool level. The hotel food was nothing special wouldn't recommend eating there, where as the Splash Bar food was nice, ate breakast there a few times. So overall the hotel is not as bad as it is made out to be, all in all you get what you pay for! I would not recommend staying here if you have a young family or are elderly, as there is a steep hill and is basically Magaluf! But if your young and want to party then it's just what you need.

Room Tip: Level two had amazing views.. Just a mission of a walk to get too as hotel is big..

There was 9 of us who stayed here in July 2013 for 1 week, we booked a package with 'Magaluf Takeover'. After reading the reviews we were all a bit wary as to what we should expect. There was a long queue for check-in, but that was all of us takeover guests checking in, whilst checking in we had to pay a deposit (which we get back if there are no damages etc) and I also paid for a safety deposit box for our passports and tickets etc. (I would recommend this). We couldn't get in to our rooms until 2/3pm so we had to carry our luggage downstairs to the luggage store room (this was a bit of a downfall because it wasn't secure, anyone could access their cases at any time); this being said we had no problems with it.

We were given three rooms, one basic room for 2 people (one bed and one sofa-bed) and two standard rooms which sleep 3 people (two single beds and a sofa-bed), all of these rooms had a basic kitchen set-up and the bathrooms were okay.

The overall stay here was good, we had no troubles with regards to things getting stolen, the staff were alright as we had no issues with them (other than the security guard who told us to keep the noise down when going to our room after our nights out). The pool was good, there were free sunbeds, it had a poolside bar and also an inside bar/restaurant which done nice food, its quite cheap and you get a decent amount.

I would recommend this hotel for younger people who are going to Magaluf for its nightlife as the majority of guests were between 18-30. I wouldn't recommend it for families especially during the peak season (May-September) as there is usually music in every other room/room gatherings/pre-drinks throughout the day, especially when getting ready for a night out.

A LITTLE WARNING: beware of the hill! It is a bit of a killer if you are sober! However if you have had a few, it's not so bad! You could even try to run it, from the bottom to the top (I know I did!)

Set in a beautiful location you would expect a great hol. Unfortunately the hotel is like an echo chamber. Not much sleep due to morons shouting, banging and not giving a hoot about the other guests. No-one at the hotel seemed to care and even served drunken louts lager at 8am by poolside. This place could be so much more with its scenic views. The rooms looked wrecked with cupboards hanging off. Self catering but essentials such as a kettle, microwave and toaster were missing, although all could be hired at a price. So glad to be home. Sleep awaits!

Arrived here on the 1st October, room was dirty had dirt on tiles from previous guests and pubic hair on the shelfs in the bathroom from previous guests. There was no running water and the shower pole was broken in half! When I complained about this there was at least four different work men in and out gaining access with a key! I was then wondering how many people had a key to my room. We were told on arrival that its best u get a safe as they will not be reliable for your belongings in the room but it will cost 40E for the safe that was in reception and not in ur room! My7yr old daughter had 30E stollen from the suitcase! When I reported this to reception the very arrogant, rude and nasty reception man, shrugged his shoulders and said we are not reliable for your belongings! This was the same nasty man that was shouting at me when I went to complain about the hotel to the rep saying that he had sent a cleaner and I sent her away! Every member of staff has a radio so they can tell each other who is in their appartment and who out so they can go robbing the guests like my 7yr old! The noise at night from drunk guests sounds as if they were trashing the place, people screaming and shouting, running up and down the corridors! I was sold this holiday as a family holiday by Thomas Cook and it is definitely not a family hotel! The spash bar played music by the pool area which was nice but this was different owners to the hotel. All in all dogs will have lived in cleaner kennels compared to this hotel!!
