I stayed at the Palmanova Hotel from the 20th November for 4 nights, The hotel was nice and very clean, the rooms were a nice size and adequate for 2 adults. I do agree with the other reviews that the walls are very thin and you can hear anything even people going to the toilet!! The hotel is nicely situated and not far away from the beach, shops and resturants. We stayed all inclusive and to be honest for what we paid it was ok. Drinks good, san miguel on tap which my hubbie loved. The food was a bit hit and miss and was fairly average, not too much choice but you would find something to eat even for the fussy people. A nice time of the year to go to majorca as still warm and much quieter. Yes the sunbeds were taken early every day so unless you want to get up very early you would find it difficult to get one. One thing annoys me if people leaving towels on the beds most of the day but not actually sitting on them till later in the day!! The entertainment team were very good and worked hard, Shows were good but to get a seat you need to get there early!! I would definetly recommend this hotel!! Enjoy

Room Tip: Try and get a lower floor as the lifts are very slow!!

I cannot understand the good reviews given by people that have stayed in this hotel, i can only assume that they have not ever stayed in a good hotel. The food was terrible and we found ourselves having to eat out for breakfast and evening meal (Natalies Place was very good). We stayed here from the 23rd October till the 27th October and on the first night we went into the dining room and was pleased to see steak and kidney pie on the menu, but unfortunately it was not good and after that we struggled to find anything that was good to eat
The rooms are clean but basic and the walls are very thin you can hear everything that your neighbours are doing
We would not recommend this hotel to our friends and will not be going back
If you do decide to use this hotel our friend were staying in room 425 and this room has an amazing view

Room Tip: Room 425 has a good sea view and is a corner room so very spacious

We visited this hotel early October, there was me, my husband and another couple.
To begin with I found the lady on reception lacked basic customer service skills she was not very welcoming and didn't smile once, and again when we left, she just snatched our key and grunted something!
The food is awful! There is no vegetarian choice (unless you want to eat just vegetables). Can't believe people think the food here is good. My husband and our friends are meat eaters and they weren't too impressed either!
The hotel is very well situated, with only a five minute walk to the beach, shops and bars. Golf Fantasia is right next door which is well worth a visit.
The rooms are clean but very basic.
The pool area only has a few decent sun loungers, which are reserved at stupid o' clock. The rest of the loungers are in desperate need of replacement.
I can't comment on the entertainment as we were out the 3 evenings we were there.
This hotel was ok as a base for a cheap short break, but I would definately not want to spend my main holiday here. People do seem to come back year after year, but I do wonder if they have ever been anywhere else!! The world is a big place!!!
All in all there was no atmosphere at this hotel - it was like night of the living dead!!!

stayed between 22nd-29th october at Hotel Palma Nova. When we arrived our room wasent ready so left luggage in the luggage room. The Receptionist dealt with us in a friendly manner. The Hotel is only a few mins walk from the Beach directly behind the Fantasia Golf.Yes i will agree as other Reviews have mentioned about the Smell outside the front of the Hotel but i think this is due to the Drains nothing to due with the Hotel as we smelt the smell in other parts of palma Nova.I also agree about the Towels on the sun beds as several mornings we past the pool to see towels on the sunbeds&no-one around there are signs stating not to reserve with Towels. Also there are signs on the dining room doors stating no bare feet,no swimwear etc in the dining room but i witnessed both of these being ignored.I have no faults with the Food there was always something different to choose from at both lunch& Dinner wine,&Water was availiable from a help yourself pump which i thought was better than bottles on the tables. The Tables were cleared away quickly & relaid ready for the nxt diners the waiting staff were polite. There were only 2 members of staff that were abrupt & rude one was on reception but dont know his name& one of the older Barstaff was but again no name. The Hotel was very clean in public areas,Toilets always clean & smelt pleasant. Our room 207 faced the main road but havent got any problems with this the 3rd bed was a sofa bed & my Son who is 23 & over 6ft found it abit uncomfortable. The only Gripe i have regaurding the rooms was that smoking is allowed on the Balconies& as a non smoker found this quite unpleasent having smoke coming across our Balcony while we were sitting out there we could even smell it in our room.We went on the PAL Trip to Alcudia this is a free Trip run by a company called PAL they take you to there base & try to get you to buy theraputic Bedding no pressure to do so then there is a Trip only had an hour & half in Alcudia should have liked longer there. We were then taken to a disused brewery for wine tasting but had to pay €2 each which i wasent pleased about considering this is meant to be FREE& we wasent told we were going to the wine Tasting 3 people on our coach didnt drink & were quite bored for the 45mins we were there. We went to The Pirates adventure Show didnt think much to the Buccaneers feast chicken legs sausages, potatoe wedges& icecream,Sangria&soft Drinks were free but beer was €5 for a jug, photos were €12 each. The show itself was amazing well worth going to see.We also went on a glass bottom boat to Palma the capital €17each a photo is taken as your boarding & can be purchased on return journey. The cathedral is impressive €4each entry but this goes to the restoration of the cathedral.Lots of shops in Palma Nova & if you dont want to book Trips through the Rep there is 2 places inPalma where you can book them alot cheaper than the tour operators.Cant comment on entertainment as didnt go to it.Overall i found the palma Hotel a good base & it was as good as any other Hotel i've stayed in.I would go back to this Hotel & recommend it to friends.

I must say that the hotel was very clean and centrally situated. The bar and restaurant staff worked very hard BUT the clientele left a lot to be desired. We were on all inclusive and some people were drinking as though alcohol was going out of fashion. Morning, noon and night they would be drinking. One night we were at the bar and the drinks had just been put in front of us and a man came from behind us and just took one of the glasses off the bar and drank it. He didn't even know what we had ordered. Also the entertainment was very loud and not a bit enjoyable. I am a vegetarian and I struggled to find a hot meal although I could have had chips and vegetables every day but this would have been boring. So I existed on salads for most of the week equally boring. By the end of the week I couldn't wait to have a decent meal. My husband had fish one day and he couldn't even get his knife in it, when he told the restaurant staff, all the fish was taken away. Would I go back - no thank you!!

We have just returned from staying a week at this hotel. we had previously stayed there before. It is kept clean throughout, including the bedrooms which were cleaned every day whilst we were there. The rooms are basic and are a little cramped with an extra bed in for a child but more than adequate for somewhere to sleep.

The staff were very helpful, especially reception staff who arranged for us to see the pirates show with transport there and back and personally went and told off the people in the room next door for making too much noise during the night. The entertainment staff were always doing activities during the day and night although the night entertainment was a bit repetative and "unimaginative".

Food - there was always three or four different meats/fishes each mealtime together with a choice of vegs, salads etc and there was always something to eat even if you are a picky eater. It was always well cooked and plenty of it. People would linger around in the bar area five minutes before the restaurant opened up but there was no need as there was always plenty of food as they regularly topped everything up. we always waited until ten to fifteen minutes after the restaurant opened up so we weren't trampled in the stampede. we did eat out a couple of nights and would recommend "natalies" opposite the beach.

location - it is ideally located, within minutes walking distance of everything,

we will be going back to stay in this hotel, the only negative thing i can say about the hotel is the fact the manager does nothing about people reserving sunbeds first thing in the morning. there are signs everywhere telling you not to do it but people still do and often dont use them until mid afternoon, perhaps the staff should remove the towels and leave them in a pile at one end of the pool? that would stop it.

General Palmanova

recommends - Natalies restaurant, The Pirate Show, Crazy Golf,
doesnt recommend - Katmandu House (upside down house), its quite scary for young children and is way overpriced

Room Tip: we were on the third floor and could hear the entertainment from the bar so if you have very young c...
