This was one of the best holidays we've been on,Dean and Kim were excellent entertainers, made you feel welcome from the very 1st moment you met them, gave 101% even tho Kim had a bad throat one evening.1st class duo. Would give them a reference for any future employment in the hotel entertainment business, sorry we missed them to say goodbye before we left, good luck Dean and Kim for the future. Food and accomodation were above expectation, Pedro and his staff made you welcome at every mealtime. Isobel and her bar staff were above standard. All in all a brilliant holiday. On a sour note, if the Hi owners are thinking of turning this hotel into an 18-30 hotel they are making a big mistake. Ray and Jose Gaines...

Starting to read your rewiew and I realised it is for our sister hotel the Palma Nova Palace and that is where Kim and Dean are, also Pedro and Isabel.
It does not matter delighted by your fantastic review and positive comments. So glad you enjoyed your holiday our staff do try their utmost to give an excelent service. As far as I am aware the hotel is not going to change to an 18/30 just at peak times the hotel does get some bookings of guests with this demograpic.

Enogh of that happy you had such a good experience at the Palma Nova Palace and we will be waiting to welcome you back soon.

Very recently stayed at the palmanova hotel with my partner and two young children. We had a lovely holiday despite the fact that the hotel was not very family orientated for a family hotel. We were often awoken at 5am to shouting and banging of doors when younger guests returned from a night out.

The room was lovely (#515) and the hotel was clean. The staff were very warm and inviting especially the dining room staff.

I'm not sure on weather I'd return to palmanova hotel with my children but will certainly return to Palma nova. The bars are amazing and the hospitality is second to none.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stqay at the hotel, as I have said in response to previous reviews the hotel should be sold as a family hotel. We try our utmost to make sure that the hotel and your experience lives up to expectations, and Palma Nova is a lovely resort. I will pass on your praise to the hotel staff.

Kind regards

Having stayed here twice before we thought we knew what to expect- how wrong we were. This once family orientated hotel has turned into a hotel for groups of young people on what seems like a club 18-30's holiday.. Most guests were in there twenties, we are only in our thirties but felt old and out of place. We were woken up in the early hours of the morning by groups of loud people returning from nights out banging on their doors to be let in. The food was ok, breakfast was often warm not hot but dinner by far had the best variety. The lager tasted watered down and the evening entertainment can only be described as naff. The cleanliness standards have obviously slipped as our bed linen was not changed all week. We won't be returning. EVER!

Room Tip: Don't have a room on the top floor as the lifts are always busy and prone to break down

I am sorry that your holiday did not live up to your expectations, and was spoilt by the influx of youth that were allocated in the hotel. We did try to take measures, with warnings and trying to keep the rooms seperate form the families, but sometimes this is impossible. The hotel and staff do try to make everyones holiday special and comfortable and it is regretable that the actions of other have impacted your holiday.

I hope you will return and so glad you liked the food

Having just returned from a family holiday I am just glad to be home for sleep. The holiday was sold to us as a family hotel on arrival there were large groups of single sex parties the noise they made at night was horrendous, if your daughter was one of the girls that were staying during 8th-19thJuly you should be disgusted in there behaviour. The entertainment staff work so hard but again have to cater for the clientele that are there. While around the pool I slipped on a wet floor causing me to cut myself between my fingers on a tile causing a nasty gash, the lifeguard on duty was unaware of what first aid to administer( she poured water onto the wound and said I could go back in the water). On the plus side there was a wide variety of food each day. The overall experience was it was not a family hotel as advertised but an 18-30 as reviews repert

Sorry that the hotel did not live up to your expectations, and it is advertised as a family hotel, thanks for your kind words and glad you enjoyed the food. Sorry to hear about your accident there are wet floor signs around the pool area but I do hope that full recovery has been made, and that we might be able to welcome you and your family back in the future

Kind Regards

Stayed here for a week all inclusive as a couple in our 20's from 8th-15th July.

I'll do a breakdown of everything in order:

Reception:
We checked in pretty quickly, however we were almost first off the first coach. There was only 1 receptionist so the guys at the back of the queue would have had a lengthy wait! We arrived about midday and our room was immediately ready for us. Throughout the week we asked for help and advice at the reception, generally helpful, although occasionally you'd get a less than interested member of staff.

The Room:
Rooms are fairly spacious for a twin room and done to a good standard. All rooms (I believe) have free air conditioning as standard, which was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in room 429, 4th floor on the road side of the block. No problems to report. The room came with a TV which had about 3 English channels but no other electrical equipment (might have been available at reception, we didn't ask). Bathroom had a full-length bath and over bath shower with curtain and safety hand rail. Rooms were cleaned and beds and towels changed daily. Couldn't ask for much more. The only frustrating thing is the hotel has 2 6-person lifts that cover the 8 floors of the hotel, and 1 of them seemed to break down at some point every day.

Food:
Food is served in the main restaurant as a buffet with hot and cold options. Breakfast was a choice of full English, meats and cheese, breads and cereals. Lunch and dinner always had hot and cold options, there were always chips and at least 1 fish dish and 1 other meat dish, either chicken, pork, beef etc. A few home favourites included which was a nice touch such as roasts on Sunday, shepherds pie etc, but also lots of Mediterranean dishes. I think even the fussiest eater should find something they like.

Bar:
The pool bar is open from 10am-6pm daily and does have a turnstile entry system (which can also be half turned in the exit direction and left to allow easy in/out access). Drinks are red/white wine, sangria, water, beer, coke/diet coke, sprite, fanta orange and lemon and tonic water. Spirits are dispensed from an automatic machine, which as in other reviews is a little frustrating. There is 1 machine in the pool bar and 2 in the main bar which is open from 6pm-midnight. The machine pours slightly over a UK shot but does take 15-20 seconds to "reload". Also, all spirits are dispensed from the same nozzle, and so do tend to all taste like each other. Spirits on offer are Vodka, Rum, Gin, Whisky and 1 more that I can't remember! Also, 2 pre-mixed cocktails are available. Bar staff are present but are only there to serve the half board customers, which is a bit annoying.

Pool:
The pool area is large and the pool was quite warm. No music around the pool which is slightly annoying. You do get groups playing their own music but I preferred this to the silence. The only time it's annoying is when you get competing music, but generally everyone was pretty chilled. Sunbeds are available, generally stacked at the side, and the ones already laid out tend to be claimed with towels very early, despite numerous signs saying this isn't allowed. The rule isn't enforced, and I'd prefer they either enforced it or took away the signs rather than sit on the fence in between.

Entertainment:
3 entertainment staff do work fairly hard, with something different each night and plenty of audience participation. Daytime entertainment around the pool is available and they'll invite people to join in, but aren't pushy if you don't fancy it. The guy who sings for all the Hi! Hotels is pretty good, doing some cabaret on the Sunday night.

The Thomas Cook rep:
Couldn't tell you his name as he didn't speak to us until about our 4th day and that was only because I asked for car hire information, which he said he had upstairs and would get for me for later. Saw him the next day and still didn't have it, but promised to get it and leave it on the side for me. Still never got the info. He only seemed interested in flirting with girls young enough to be his daughters and the groups of lads he could sell expensive packages to. Very poor, and very disappointing, however I won't mark the hotel down as they don't exactly choose the rep Thomas Cook send.

Overall:
Generally a nice hotel, especially when considering what we paid for it. The negative points are really down to a lack of staff but that also keeps the cost down, so as always you get what you pay for. The location in Palmanova is at the opposite end to Magaluf, but the guests ranged from groups of lads and girls in their late teens/early 20's through to elderly couples. Everyone seemed to get on with everyone else fine with no moaners.

We would stay here again

Wow what a fantastic review thanks so much honest and to the point and like the previous one covering all points. We could have supplied you with car information at reception, but never mind. as long as you had a good holiday that is our aim

Thank you for all your comments we will keep working to make sure these keep up.

My partner and I stayed here from the 8th of July to the 15th.

We arrived at 12.30 noon and were checked straight in to our room!!!

The rooms are very spacious with air con (3 settings) satellite tv (although we only found itv,itv 2 and channel 6) which is more than enough when you spend around 2 hours in the room in the afternoon! The rooms were cleaned every day! Fresh towels and linen and the cleaning staff couldn't be lovelier.

The food here is always good! Good choice ranging from salad, cold meats and cheeses, chips, fish, veal, chicken and children's choices. You'd have about 2 choices of hot meats an evening and usually vegetables and extras!
Breakfast you could have the cold meats and cheese choice, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, toast and fruit. Always something for everyone!

The only thing I found a little off was entertainment! Don't get me wrong the entertainers were lovely (especially Andy) but unless you were a large group of young lads or girls then they weren't really interested. And sometimes seemed a little off with people.

There is plenty to see and do out of the hotel too. Worth checking in at Alex's Square bar on the front for a cocktail! (Skittles was my favourite) the restaurant next door also did lovely food!

All in all this holiday was perfect for me and my fiancée and wild definitely return!

Stayed here for a week beginning of July . Hotel room cleaned regular and towels changed daily . The room had free air con which was a necessary with the hot weather . There was no hair dryer provided . The food was average but plenty of it. The soft drinks were branded (coco cola / fanta etc ) . The interior of the hotel complex was kept nice and clean , however, the exterior was not up to the same standard . The children's pool area was littered with cigarette butts and the tiled paths were covered in bird muck which was not cleaned properly. Was a bit put off by the condom left at the side of the main path from the day before! Unfortunately we had a few sleepless nights due to young groups coming back after the night out. The hotel was in a great location to the bars and shops. Entertainment the hotel was average . Despite these few issues, overall had a good holiday but would choose another hotel if I returned to Palma nova.

Dear Wendy,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for all the positive comments. I will be looking into the negative comments, re the pool area and pathways.
Unfortunately the hotel has seen an influx of younger guests and we are trying our utmost to preventy them form disturbing other guests.

Thanks you again and we do hope you will visit us again in the future
