Spent 10 days in this hotel in may 2013. Lovely hotel. Food was great and plenty of choice, always something different meat wise every night. Plenty of salad and puddings as well. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Maid service and clean towels every day. Pool side snack bar really reasonable prices and food there lovely. Very handy to shops, bars and restaurants . Very handy for beach. Great pub across from it called Banana Joes. Really nice batman called Jed. Only thing was I found this hotel was full of mainly pensioners so not great for my 13 year old. Thanks to Alan for opening up the pool every day. Would recommend this hotel to couples but not families at that time of year. Would certainly go back.

Me and six girls stayed at this hotel. First thing i'd mention is that i would definitely NOT recommend this hotel for families. Myself and my friends stayed in this hotel and it as OK for what we wanted it for, the rooms were very basic and small, with 2 single beds right along side eachother with another single bed right along the bottom without any space at all. Therefore in order to get to the other side of the room to get to the french doors you had to climb over the beds. The structure of the room is very un-organized with 2 of the cabinets unable to open as they were wedged in alongside the beds so they couldn't be used. Therefore all our clothes stayed in our suitcase the whole week we were there. The paint was all chipping off and the quality of the door of the room was awful, with it either not closing properly one minute and then slamming shut another minute. There was mold in the bathroom and the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly. The pool was cold and was always crowded by young teenagers messing about and drinking very much beer and due to the location the sleep quality was awful. One night we woke up to people arguing and screaming in the hallway, then another night someone grabbed hold of one of the bedroom mirrors and through it into the hallway and it smashed and made an extremely loud noise we all woke up terrified! One night we had people trying to open our bedroom door and banging really loudly but being only 3 of us girls in the room we did not open the door, just shouted at them to go away. There is one security guard but he only does one floor at a time therefore as it has many floors its not very consistent. Many mornings we would also wake up to find vomit in the hallways from the young Magaluf party gangs which was very off putting especially on the way to breakfast! The rooms were cleaned daily although the bedding wasn't changed once. The food was average to poor and there was very little selection therefore even though we were half board basis we ate out a lot of the time. One thing which striked us was that even though its half board, at the evening buffet we were unable to take ANY drinks into the dining room not even a bottle of water, all drinks had to be PURCHASED for a very expensive price although we were half board and were told we would have 1 drink free with each meal. The staff were very rude about this, one time they even made one of my friends empty her bag as they believed she had a bottle of water in there. We were all very angry and disappointed. They questioned us at every meal asking if we wanted to buy a drink as though we had to, many of us would take it in turns and we'd go out have a drink from our room and then go back in. Before every meal there was also a big queue to get in to the buffet area therefore we tried to be there ten minutes before it opened. The queue was always very large and as it was based in the lobby area it was very off putting to anyone arriving at the hotel. One of my friends travelling has a few medical problems and on booking our holiday it was arranged that there would be a fridge in her room upon arrival in order to store her medication, however when we arrived, not only were the rooms not ready so we had to wait 3 hours but there was no fridge. We contacted reception and they said that we had to pay 20 euros a day for the fridge which was far more than any of us could afford and therefore my friend had to keep her medical supplies in the shade without the use of a fridge. I'd recommend this hotel to any stag/hen dues which aren't looking for anything better than a camping site and I would NEVER take children here due to the noise and lively rebellious drunken party animals which arrive back at the hotel sometime between 1- 6am every morning. Definitely won't be returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are very loud however the highest floor is probably the quietest.

Stayed at the Don Bigote for 5 nights half board..Returned on Tuesday May 21st 2013.
The rooms are very dated although cleaned daily & clean towels provided daily when used towels are left in the bath. The food was good, plenty to choose from. Restaurant staff were pleasent but we did see a little altercation going on between two of the waiters!! ( older guy in dinner suit & younger guy we nick named the 'Silver Fox') Lol.
The pool area is cleaned every morning is spacious with plenty of sunbeds.
There were guests of all ages staying in this hotel with some stag & hen party groups, however it was not noisey. To be honest the most noise we experienced from our room 306 facing the pool was the staff arriving early morning smoking & talking very loudly to one another outside the staff entrance to the hotel restaurant.
If you have booked this hotel you really have no need to worry! Enjoy your stay :)

Room Tip: Room 306 noisey when staff arrive for work early in the morning!

We've just returned from our 2nd stay here, and once again cannot complain. Very clean rooms, basic but cleaned daily. Friendly staff, good meals and all at a great price. Pool area very clean, plenty of sunbeds, no mad rush for them, water freezing!!!
Excellent location ideal for the beach, bars etc. Short walk into Magaluf.
Daresay we'll return....

Room Tip: We had a pool facing room, think it's quieter than the road facing ones. Was a little wait for t...

Just had a week half board at this Hotel and had read some pretty scary reviews. Try the Hotel for yourself. There was just the two of us. Found the staff in Reception, cleaners, Restaurant all very pleasant and helpful. Food varied and good with hot plates!! As 70+ my husband and I found there was lots of young people but no trouble and we would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Room 328 overlooked the road almost above main entrance. The road was busy and noisy but we had no...

Just got back from a 3 night stay and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is alittle dated but rooms were adequate size and very clean. Maid service every day. Food was basic but something for everyone and deserts were lovely. Pool area clean, spacious and plenty of sun loungers. Ideal location, near to beach and bars/restaurants but couldnt hear any loud music etc on a night. Would definately stay again.
