Just landed, my partner mother and 10 year old.. Family room basic but large. Food fine .. Usual all inclusive though as said before most times only warm. Staff excellent. Down side, small pool for size of hotel therefore not enough sunbeds or chairs to sit around pool. Drinks in 'canteen' often warm

just back from a weeks stay, arrived just before 3pm to be told go straight for something to eat and check in later as only 10minutes left for lunch.rooms are basic though clean ,food gets a bit repetative but there is plenty of it and you shouldnt go hungry pool is only small but a fantastic beech is just across the road and you can take your all inclusive drinks with you. staff are very friendly and always have time to speak to you,all in all if the hotel had a bit of an update it would be spot on so dont go expecting 4 or 5star when you havnt paid for it.

Room Tip: try for a proper sea view...outstanding

We booked this hotel one month before we travelled as a last minute girls holiday for my old university room mates, the hotel when we arrived at lunchtime tired from our early morning flight, we were told lunch has just started and the pool bar is open, no wristbands or anything just help yourselves, a good start!
The hotel is directly opposite the beach so it was possible to take all inclusive drinks on to the beach, the all inclusive included ice lollies and ice creams, slush drinks and the alcohol at the bar were pretty great copies of all the popular spirit brands as well as the fact that the measures were huge!

The food was a little repetitive but the breakfast was fab!! The salad was always there as well as bread and chips and cheese and crackers and then there was a variety of meat dishes and as a vegetarian there was always one dish I could have but the vege labelling isn't great and they tend to count things with fish as vegetarian so watch out for this if you don't eat and meat, the good things were that the food was always cleanly presented and stocked throughout meal times and we couldn't have been happier to be fair! We only ate out intentionally once and that was the last night and chose to eat out for a change and as we'd saved lots of money as the all inclusive times spanned most of the day!
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and a good giggle too, most members of staff spoke multiple languages and the table service at dinner of clearing and setting up tables was excellent, fizzy, juice and some alcoholic drinks were also available to serve yourself in the restaurant too.
I has read reviews previously which stated the hotel was out dated but I found it very tidy and appropriate, the bath rooms have seen better days and in five nights our beds were only changed once, which we didn't mind but some might, we asked for new towels every day as the showers are v powerful and it becomes a bit of a wet room.
When booking the holiday I asked for adjoining sea view rooms the rooms were next door but one abs one of them was a corner room so had a sea view but ours did not, we didn't mind but the view is a great one so a view of the sea from the hotel would have been nice! The hotel operates on key cards and reception is 24 hours which is nice, there are safes in every room which cost 18 euros per week to rent and it's well worth it they are v easy the use and we didn't have a worry about our things.
The location of the hotel is it's best asset l, it costs 6 euros in a taxi to the nearest water part, 6 euros in a taxi to magaluf if that's your thing and is only 33 euros for a taxi to the airport, which on the last day we had to do as our transfer didn't show up, so thank goodness it was reasonably priced, palma nova itself was lovely and the shops and bars are mega cheap! I would definately return to this hotel and location again nothing would put me off and if your considering the tropico playa and you are not a serial moaner and have a laid back fun approach to holidays I say book it! Thanks for a fab holiday tropico and for playing host toba memory I'll cherish forever x

The hotel itself very basic but at the price you pay cannot grumble. No TV in room but that doesn't bother me as a rule I think it is just nice if you can get a music channel or something while you get ready for the evening. Food we found very unappetising and never very hot so we ate out every night. Location perfect and the beach across the road was lovely. Entertainment one hour a night again could do with a bit more going on as there was not even any background music going on around the pool throughout the day. It is the first hotel I have been in all inclusive that had no option of any snacks In the evening so if you did not make the restaurant then you never got to eat at all but as we ate out every night again this was not an issue but people on a budget need to be aware of this. All in all I still found this very good value but would not return because of the food and entertainment side of things. We met quite a few returning customers who said they had been 3 or 4 times but would not be returning because of the food situation as they said in previous years the food had been lovely. I was told it used to be half board and has gone down hill since being all inclusive so they obviously budget the food very differently now.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a seaview then 5th floor is perfect views are amazing

Recently stayed at this hotel from 30th June till 7th July with my family, I was in two minds with this hotel before booking but we booked it based on one of my friends coming here before.
The hotel location was amazing right in front of the beach which was convenient as hotel pool area is very small. The food was nice, majority every evening it was chicken, beef, pork or fish and chips and several other basic things. Can't complain with the price we paid!
The rooms are very basic, air con was perfectly fine it worked and wasn't noisy. The beds were comfy to sleep on. The only thing I will say is that there was no tvs in the room or a hairdryer eventhough you could rent them but all of the hotels ive been to before have had these. There was only 1 tv downstairs which was slightly unusual, since the world cup was you'd expect it to get very busy and crowded around this tiny tv!
The staff we're extremely friendly and understood english. The hotel entertainment was ok, they normally ended around 11pm which is quite early. There would be a either celine dion, robbie williams or taylor swift in the background for about 10 minutes then stop. Would be nice to have more modern songs on.

If your looking for something basic and just somewhere to sleep and eat then i would recommend this hotel as its very cheap for the price you can pay!

Hotel location was excellent and for the views they were amazing. We stayed there for 11nights, but food not good unless you like pasta and chips, needs some tlc, no animation team to get everyone going, one hour of terrible entertainment each evening.

Our family stayed from 1st till 11th July, we were worried before we arrived because of all the bad reviews, this hotel is what you get for the money you pay, that is good value,if you want top grade hotel then they are available in Palma.
Yes the hotel could do with updating, but the staff are very helpful from the manageress down to the room cleaners, they are all polite and friendly. The drinks are plentiful, the food is sufficient.

The only thing that spoilt it was single sex groups, and some of the language was bad and not only from the Brits.I have found this a problem in other Palma Nova hotels.

I would certainly visit again.Excellent location.
