We have just got back from Intertur Aparthotel Hawaii Torrenova after a 6 night stay. We were in room 393, and the view from the balcony is ace! The room was very clean, and the maids came in every day so I can't understand some of the comments I've read saying the rooms are dirty, because they are not. We also stayed here October half term lat year, and it was great then as well.

The Manager Miguel was very reasonable when we asked him if we could keep our room on after 10am on our last day, and waived the usual 34 Euro fee because it was the last week of the season, and no-one needed the room, so Thanks for that!

The only criticisms of the Hotel I could give are the price of the safety deposit box, which was expensive at 31 euros for 6 nights (we got 5 back though) and the fact that there is a charge of 24 Euros per week for access to the internet, which has quite a weak signal. I don't think that I've stayed in another Hotel that charges Guests for the internet, so I was a bit miffed at that. However overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and if the internet was free and the deposit box was a bit cheaper, this place would be perfect!

Room Tip: We were in 393. Ace view!

A nice hotel with wunderful staff, near the city and the beach. Near to all but even a quite place, a wonderful vacation when you have all inclusive - good food with all free and a lot off choice. You never have to be hungry.

Room Tip: Take a room with "sea wiew"

We stayed on 6th floor and the views were amazing andcan see right across the sea. Some rooms didn't appear to have much of a view so I was very grateful. It was however noisy as sun terrace just underneath the room and there were lots of children. If you are staying with children it would be ideal. But i wasnt so found the noise irritating. The room felt damp which I found odd. I wakened in the morning with 'humidity hair'. It was also quite dark and the only mirror available was in the bathroom which was an inconvenience. The meals were tasty and varied and breakfast was one of the best I've had. The staff were friendly and polite. The apartments were on a hill but worth it for the view.

there seem to be some sensible, honest reviews of late regarding this apartment/hotel, so I will comment on a few bits based on our short experience. Be sure not to confuse this with the Hawaii Hotel next door. We were a couple escaping from the kids for a weekend, staying all inclusive.
The Apartments are on the cliff face of a headland (hill) between Palmanova and Magaluf - FACT- this is not a failing of the hotel, or the airline, or the car park attendant at Luton airport. The Palmanova incline is not overly taxing, but anyone particularly unfit or suffering from mobility issues might want to avoid. The Magaluf side is some what steeper than Palmanova. Once at the base of the hill in either direction you can walk quite some distance along streets or promenades on level ground.
The pools were not particularly warm, being unheated (as most outdoor Spanish pool are), and due to the time of year, they spent a fair amount of time in the shade. Having gone for a dip in both the pool and the sea, I would say there wasn't much between them - neither were particularly cold in my opinion - I was in the sea at 6pm on a sunday evening near the end of October - whats to complain about.
Food was plentiful, although there were some quirky combinations. The chef, really needed a lesson in the art of seasoning, or rather less seasoning, some of the meat/sauce dishes were particularly salty, but there was enough other stuff to choose from. Desserts weren't great, but we fill up on assorted main course and salad items so weren't bothered at all. The youngsters seemed to enjoy the deserts. Beer, wine and software drink all on tap in the restaurant.

Noise levels weren't brilliant, but this is very much a family complex so with that in mind, you tend to expect it. Typically Spanish, minimal soft furnishings and long echoing corridors will always make for a nosier environment than your average hotel in the uk of course. I will also reiterate the previous reviewers comments regarding the 3rd floor. You will get sunbed and chair noise most of the day. We were in room 834, directly under the terrace/pool bar between the pools, so it wasn't bad in the early morning as no sunbeds there, but noisy by mid morning when people sat on the terrace all the way through to 11.30pm when the bar closed - at which point the noise stopped quickly (but were were in the bar for most of the evenings!). Despite the noise I would suggest it was one of the best positions. Floors 1&2 are unlikely to get much of a view due to trees, floor 4 was primarily pools, terrace, restaurant and bars, floors 5+ were set back from the sea front, so overlooked the pools then, the sea. Note that receptions is actually on the 5th floor, which is at road level at the rear of the building. The majority of rooms face the sea, but I would guess more or less north facing so you don't get direct sun (preferable in my opinion)
We only used the terrace bar, so didn't catch any of the entertainment that was on every night. There was a daytime kids/adults activity schedule, but it looked like they were finishing for the season, I may be wrong.
Staff were friendly and helpful through out our stay.
We booked a seaview studio. Had small kitchen area, with fridge which we didn't use due to all inclusive, but would have made do if we'd gone self-catering. Downside was twin beds instead of a double. Had AC which worked we (forgot to turn up the thermostat when we went to bed and woke up freezing)

In summary, we had a perfectly pleasant stay. We didn't spend much time in the apartment for any noise to be an issue, and saved a lot more than we spent by making the most of the all inclusive food and drink. We would happily stay again, taking the kids next time. I'm not sure I'd be quite so keen on the place in busy/high season, but to be honest that goes for the whole resort not just the hotel. The place is by no means a 4star hotel (people see to confuse the trip advisor ratings!), but I'm happy to give a rating of 4 out of 5 based on the cost, our stay, and experience of the place.

Room Tip: 3rd floor and up if you want a view. 3rd floor has easiest access to pools, bars and restaurants, bu...

I have been to Palmanova so many times but have always gone to the same hotel, decided to try Hawaii torrenova for a change plus it was a more cheaper option. There were a lot of negatives about this hotel but had to try it myself and must say I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at the hotel at 12 o clock and went to our room instantly it was a large room with a separate bedroom and a kitchen which had everything you needed except an iron which you can rent from a company via the hotel it costs 12 euros. We went all inclusive and the food was excellent at every sitting, the staff from reception ,waiters, entertainment staff to chambermaids were all very friendly and were always on hand to help you. I could not find fault with this hotel apart from it is on a slight hill but in saying that I would return again.Ask for a room with a sea view on high floor the view is spectacular.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor as the views are spectacular

I have just read the review posted by Simon 1105 posted on 17 October 2013. I can echo almost all that he said as mostly factual, but cannot comment on the entertainment or all inclusive aspect. However I can add a bit about our experience as a family of four. We were not all inclusive and as we went out every evening for our meal we didn't participate in the apart-hotel entertainment. The views are lovely, the rooms start at sea / ground level and are built back up the rock face, until the pool level on the roof of 'floor 3' then up again, around the pool, with in most cases views onto the sea, but shaded as the sun rises to the side and moves behind over the hotel. If you are on floor 3, in a lot of cases, the sunbathing area of the pool area is your roof. From about 9am onward sunbeds are dragged into place, above your head. Noise is bearable and it gets you up, but there are a few metal deckchairs; the scratching of metal is a bit grating. If you are near the 'slidy machine' that gets going about 9.30am/10am, but it is a kids environment so you'd appreciate they would be up and about at that time. Two table tennis tables, 10 euro deposit for bats and ball. One pool or snooker table. Day time entertainments staff helpful, cheery and arrange games. The sunbeds are plentiful though if busy I would imagine space quite limited. They are fixed in position almost flat and non-adjustable sunbeds. Sun is low in the sky in October so there is very little sun on the pool area, but the perimeter is ok. You have to pick your spot as some of the perimeter is shaded whilst the sun rises above the floors around 11am to 12noon. The railings around part of the perimeter of the sun area are horizontal metal slats and the drop the other side is three floors down.
Our beds in our apartment were uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. The pillows in the bedroom were fine, but in the lounge settee area they were lumpy. Towels were changed regularly and were plentiful after we asked the maids for a couple more as there were four of us in the apartment. Kettle and toaster were adequate. We did clean ALL our glasses and cups before use as we found the bathroom glass was wrapped in plastic, but over a dirty glass. There is a well stocked supermarket down the hill a bit, (just pasted the 'Hawaii Hotel' the 4* sister Hotel next door). We arrived very late and found the supermarket to be opened till 4am.
We didn't find the reception staff at check-in or check-out to be very friendly; they weren't unpleasant, just robotic. Maybe being NON all-inclusive brings less money to the hotel so therefore 'we got what we paid for' such as a bed and a bar to buy drinks during the day. It was an economically priced hotel, with lots of families around. You do get 'what you pay for'.

Room Tip: If you like to look over a pool (and the sea) ask for high rooms. The floors below the pool area ar...
