“rooms were very dirty”
Reviewed 17 July 2009

I have mixed views about the hotel and certainly dont think it should be four stars. my husband and i took two friends in wheelchairs we are all in our 40`s . we were surrounded by couples in there 60`s+ so we felt very young. The nightly entertainment was aimed at the older people. The two rooms we had were next door to each other on floor one and the cleaning lady was very nice but im not sure what she actually did besides change the towels. The floors were filthy and if you got out the shower your feet were dirty and the dust that was on the bedside cabinets were disgusting. i told the rep and four days later he came to our room to see this for himself and was shocked at what he had seen so made out a complaint form and told the manager , but on the good side it is right beside the beach and the food was very nice and hot and a very english menu. The bar ,restaurant ,and reception staff were very helpfull and friendly. All four of us said we would not go back to this hotel again we paid over £3200 for the four of us and said it was in no way value for money,

Chris and Ann - 50+
We stayed at this adult only hotel and found it to be the best all round hotel we have stayed in. We have stayed in Gold hotels and some have been extremely nice but what we liked about this was you could sit and relax in any part of this hotel at any time of the day or evening without being bothered by waiters asking if you wanted a drink!!!! The staff were friendly pleasant and willing to help in anyway they could. The entertainment team Claire and Dani were excellent and professional in every way. They work a hard shift and not a day went by when we didnt see them smiling and cheerful.. They are a credit to this hotel. The evening entertainment was dancing at 8pm, bingo or quizes at 9 only for a short time and professional acts at 10 and we were pleasantly surprised by the acts they had on every night. Martin the Thomson Rep was honest and not in your face but available if required - really nice guy. This hotels caters well for the disabled and age group seems to be 40 + and upwards which quite frankly suited us. Have a system for Sun Bed - pool doesnt open till 9am but if you do not occupy your sunbed when someone comes round every hour they put a sticker with time on to say if checked on next hour and nobody is still not using sunbeds towels and belongings will be removed - of which you collect from pool bar. Personally we thought this was a fab idea as it stops people putting towels on morning going off for in some cases nearly all day and not using them. If you had popped out for lunch and returned just after the hour you just removed sticker - in affect if you chose time right after they had been round to check you had in effect 2 hrs before belongings removed. It worked well. we had no problems with this at all. Marvellous time at this hotel and a joy to see a hotel run with a view to satisfying its guests completely. We would certainly return to this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Waking up every morning to the sun shining through the doors and seeing the boats/yachts bobbing about in the bay - who could ask for more from a hotel room. The food was excellent and plentiful (unfortunately for my waistline). Staff friendly and helpful (apart from one lady on reception one Friday who wasn't very helpful - maybe she was just having an off day!). We were only there for a week but we wish we could have had longer. Other guests were all polite and passed the time of day with you too. I was a bit disappointed that on entrance to the restaurant a notice states that shorts etc are NOT allowed and dress must be smart during evening meal but a few men did wear shorts. All in all, a great holiday and we will certainly be back.

The hotel had a great spot of beach and we had a great view from our room. Did not think the food was very good. Both my husband and I found hair in our food one morning. Also the cups and glasses that are in your room are not cleaned every day just washed out in the bathroom and left there to dry. That is nasty to me. They need to replace them with clean cups and glasses that have gone thru the dish washer. Would we stay there again. I am not sure. The shows were great.

Stayed at the Son Matias Beach in Palma Nova for 3 days in May this year 2009 for a
short break in Majorca and booked it through Thomson i.e. accomodation only. It was a
fantastic price of £10 per person per night Half Board. The hotel over looks the beach and is in a very central position in Palma Nova. Pleasant staff good food with day and night entertainment.Dont be put off by the rate of the Euro as there are plenty of offers
available in many bars and restaurants . ie. Beer from 1 Euro . As for transfers we booked with Holiday Taxis .com on their own site. Easily found in Palma Airport just go
through Gate C after collecting your luggage. No problem at all. Hotel should b adult only
throuh Thomson but it s not quite correct as we found that the hotel does accept direct bookings for infants apparently. All in all this is a really good hotel especially if can
find it for a bargain price.

Just back from a 5 day stay. Fabulous everything from swift check-in to excellent food. Rooms are spacious with tv/radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Fridge and safe are available for a charge although we didn't feel the need. Bathroom spacious with plenty of towels. Lifts very speedy (we were on 5th floor). Dining room was great with breakfast avail from 7-10. Evening meal from 5.30-8.30 lots of variation and nice selection of spanish dishes too. Pool area fab with a lovely jacuzzi. Majority of guests were over 50 however this did not bother us in-fact it suited us with no kids running around. Plenty of activities and entertainment (Wi-Fit, nightly shows, raffles quizzes etc). To top it all while there it was my birthday and the manager sent up to our room a lovely bottle of champers and a box of chocolates (and we never asked!). The staff are fantastic very pleasant and a true asset to this hotel. Will definately be going back sooner rather than later.
