Having just read the reviews below, I can't actually believe we were staying in the same place! This was our second visit to the Aquasol and once again it didn't disappoint. We knew there are LOTS of steps which must be a pain for the buggy brigade or a complete no-go for anyone with mobility problems but if, like us, you are lucky enough to be hale and hearty, your fitness levels will increase as the week goes on!! Surely though people do a little bit of homework on their chosen resort / hotel before booking to make sure it suits their needs. This time we were in L Block - right up the back next to the main road and, apart from a little traffic noise (which we have at home) it was so quiet at times, we could easily have been the only people in the hotel. All reception staff were polite and helpful. The night porter is less chatty than the others but we find that acknowledging staff as fellow human beings leads to a better relationship overall. Sunbeds (in October at least) are plentiful and space always available. The pool area is hosed down every evening and is kept very clean. Rooms are cleaned every couple of days by cheery, smiling staff who are anxious to please. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Aquasol and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind their leg muscles getting a workout a few times a day.
Note to the lady who complained of no lifts - you wouldn't use them in case of fire anyway and the stairway is right at your door - probably safer and nearer than any fire escape would be. I'm really conscious about fire safety when I'm in hotels and it never crossed my mind this would be compromised at the Aquasol.

Room Tip: We had a pool view last time around so would probably ask for this again but if it's complete pe...

I stayed here from the 6th until the 16th of October with my wife and seven year old Daughter. It was a package holiday booked through Thomson.
The first thing you notice about the hotel is the lack of lifts, we stayed in block C and you needed to use the stairs even if you're on the lower floors. Not a problem for us but there were a lot of elderly people and couples with pushchairs who struggled. One elderly disabled lady was refused any help with her luggage. There is a ramp at the entrance of the hotel but its way too steep to walk up nevermind pull luggage or pushchair up.
Check in was easy and staff spoke very good English. The ones on the later shifts appeared quite miserable but daytime staff were helpul and cheerful. Rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space, cleaners came round every other day and did a very good job. Quite a lot of ants running round all areas of the hotel.
You can hire the remote for the aircon unit but we discovered that the bedroom unit works manually and is sufficient to cool down the whole apartment.
The entertainment manager is a friendly energetic cheerful lady who must work lots of hours. She is there from morning til night. Hotel drinks are expensive and not very good. The night time entertainment acts were mediocre so we went out most nights. Cant comment on the food as we never ate there.
Plenty of room around the pool - no need to rush out and claim beds as there is way more than enough.

We usually stay in Magaluf but our usual hotel had turned into an 18-30 on our last visit so we booked at the Aquasol as Thomsons claimed it was a family hotel, on the first evening my wife had a drunken Spanish lady threatening to kick her head in amongst other things, and we were woken at 3am most nights by drunken parents on the bacony shouting etc. Despite the family claims there were quite a lot of groups of all men or all women, we had the misfortune of getting a group of irish men in the room next door who came back to the rooms shouting and banging and being drunken louts at 4am which woke us all up. These were older men who I would have thought better of. None of us got hardly any sleep due to the noise and had to take naps during the day making us miss a lot of the holiday. It was much quieter staying in with the 18-30s, they behaved better. For this reason we will not be returning to this hotel.

I booked into Aquasol for four nights in early October. We were a group of five women in our forties. We arrived at 11pm at night and were absolutely starving. When we arrived at the apartment, we were delighted to learn that the shop was open 24 hrs, but we also discovered that the restaurants were very close by and were still opened serving lovely food. The apartment was spotless, was cleaned every second day, had airconditioning that worked and was so well located. We were close to beautiful restaurants, the beach is only a 3 minute walk away and the beautiful little shops are opposite the beach. We had booked a bus from the airport, but when we go again, we will get a taxi which costs approx 30 euro. All five of us absolutely loved this apartment and are planning our return for next year. The only fault we had was with RYANAIR, we will not be returning with them.

Room Tip: Rooms with a pool view look nice, we didnt have much of a view

Just returned and no problems what so ever with this aparthotel. All staff were great, espicially Leona who organised a 21st birthday cake along with the chef. We had no issues with returning extra keys - depoist given back straight away on the day we checked out! Bar staff always polite, espicailly the lifeguard, who did a great job when we sat down for the BBQ - the only disapointment was the weather and the BBQ had to be brought inside!!! Day entertainment was good, but I supposes depends on what you enjoy.Evening entertainment was good. Rooms were clean, door to balcony was lockable. The only problem I had was not enough pillows than I am used to, but this didnt spoil my holiday and I suppose I could have asked for more, but all I did was roll up the blanket. No big deal. No real problem with noise, just usual holiday noise!!! The drunken Irish provided late entertainment, falling into the bushes in the early hours of the morning. Quite funny really. There are notices saying only purchased food and drink from the bar to be eat and drank by the pool, but that is expected of most pool sides!! Group of 11 of family and friends

just returned from the aquasol in palma nova the apartments are very clean very spacious but we had to climb 48 steps to our room took me 20 mins every time to get up to them as i have asthma. there is no lifts and no fire escape route we where on the top floor so if the rooms below had a fire we would have been burnt to death. the staff are very ignorant and not helpful at all on arrival was given a piece of paper with the number of the apartments and that was it you had to find it yourself. the bar staff are as bad my husband gave the lad behind the bar a 20 euro note and 3 times he tried to give him the change for a 10 euro will not be going back to the aquasol at all.

Room Tip: none they are all death traps no fire escapes

just got back from a weeks stay 2/10/2012 ,booked with Thompson asked for a ground floor apartment as we both have walking difficulties ,as we got off the coach we were confronted by a set high steps into hotel ,there was a slope but it was to steep and no one was able to use it ,in reception another set of steps to go up and from then on more steps 38 in all to get to our apartment we had to climb 2 sets of steps to get to it ,all guests were moaning about the amount of steps every where ,maids only came in once and did'nt even sweep floors, the bar area was wet all the time as people were walking through wet from pool area ,in the eve the staff hosed the outside bar area and left it soaking wet chairs as well so you had to get a cloth urself to dry them so you could sit down ,no aircon in any of public areas and you had to pay 20euros for remote so u could have aircon in apartment ,only eat in hotel once and food was poor i would say this was a 2star , went out on buses and area is nice thats all i can say

Room Tip: rooms at back are a lot quieter, but dont get the sun in afternoon
