“Disappointing!”
Reviewed 18 August 2009

Had more expectations of the accomodation and was disappointed to say the very least. Was our first holiday together as a couple and on arrival went looking for a check in only to find a linen closet. Room was very old fashioned and shabby looking and not very clean - first thing we did was go out to get cleaning materials ans set about cleaning. It was advertised as suitable for families and couples but I didn't envy anyone staying there with a family as it was very noisy with people shouting, having room parties and banging doors till the early hours of the morning. Between the noise and the very hard beds with springs sticking through them we were lucky to get an average of 4-5 hours sleep a night. I would class this as more of a youth hostel than family apartments with very, very basic amenities and staff none too friendly. It was also being used as general apartments to let in the area. Not a place I would stay in again or recommend.

Me and My Partner visited Las Palomas the last two weeks in May, After reading the reviews i was a bit worried about what it would be like, but i was pleasantly surprised. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Air Con and Safety deposit boxes you had to pay for but only for a small fee. The rooms had everything you needed and very nice beds. For what we wanted it for it was perfect as we were not in there for much of our stay.
We had our beds changed twice while we were there and also our towels were changed on a regular basis.
The pool was lovely aswell, cleaned everyday.
The apartment block does have residents living there as well but there was no noise, not from them anyway more from the holiday makers, but nothing that disturbed us.
There is no reception so if you do decide to stay here then there is a green door where you get everything you need.
Palma Nova is the quite part but Magaluf is only a 10 Minute walk, Palma Nova Beach is about a minutes walk from the apartment aswell and if you are really lucky you will see the Sea from your apartment, which is amazing.
If you are expecting the Ritz then i would go to the Ritz but for a Low budget holiday it is more than enough. We will definatley be going again, next year.

The accommodation very old, noisy, dirty. The whole stay was a disaster, from the moment we arrived to a checkin area that was a cleaner's closet to the noise of sewerage flushing past our front door. I was appaulled from start to finish. It is an apartment block with residences, so awoken to barking dogs, drilling, chain saw noises...!

After reading terrible reviews i was nervous getting out of the taxi at Las Palomas! However i was pleasantly surprised, we were greeted by the manager and given our key, and arranged a safety deposit box. we went up to the room and the sheets were clean, and fresh towels. dont expect a maid service, she will only change your towels near the end of the week, however we had a washing machine, so we washed ours and our beach towels too! the air con is a must as it gets really hot at night. the only downside to this is that the vent is on the balcony blowing out hot air, but switch it off when you go out there and you will be fine. the apartment also had a toaster` and microwave, perfect for making snacks. the pool was nice, and cleaned daily by the lifegaurd (if you ask him nicely he will bring you cocktails to your sunlounger!) the pool bar did excellent food, which was very cheap. all in all i dont have a bad word to say about the place. i think it is more suited to younger people as it can get loud at night, not a problem though if you are staying out late yourselves! in a perfect location it is 1 min from the beach and bars, but not as rowdy as magaluf (which you can get to in 5 mins by taxi). i am definately booking up for next year!

When we booked this hotel i was dubious as to what to expect but when we got there i realised that there was nothing to worry about. We were hardley ever in our rooms and when we were what we needed was there, comfortable beds, a balcony with a beautiful view over the bay and of course fully equiped bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen came with a toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, sink and a washing machine, while the bathroom contained a clean shower, toilet and sink. Both rooms (kitchen and bathroom are particularly small holding up to two people at a time, but when the room is holding only three this is hardley a problem. The pool was clean and refreshing, there was hardley any distraction or noise and we were able to relax and had the opportunity to buy snacks, drinks and ice creams from the lifeguard on duty who went to the nearby restaurant that backed on to the hotel entrance. The apartments are also flats to local residents, the landlord living on site and his house being the office were you collect your keys from. This is a basic room only hotel so if you were desperate for hotel provided entertainment and facilities i would recommend the Sol Hotel Companies.

reading the reports we were dreading the hotel.but when we got there even though being delayed 12 hours we arrived at 6 in the nmorning instead of 6 the night before the security man was wondering round and gave us our keys otherwise we prob wouldn't have found reception but there is always someone about we got to our rooms and they were very clean and quite big for 3 people. the pool is ok but it shades over by 3pm so the beach which is literally across the road would be better to sunbathe. its quite close to the magaluf strip about 5/10 mins walk but coming home the hill is a bit of a treck so we found that if you walk back past bcm way its one straight road or a taxi is just 3 euro. the food at the pool is ok also the restaurants around are great aswell. the only prob with the rooms are room 604 has lots of baby cockaroaches which my mates found out so a can of hairspray will come in handy. but the reception will swap your room if you complain as they did with some girls before us.

so for a cheap holiday we were expecting loads worse we didn't have any trouble at all. and 30euro's for the aircondtioning was the best thing we bought all week.

Stayed with my husband for a week at Las Palomas in Palma Nova, Mallorca.

We had booked with a travel agency and were aware of that it was only
a two star hotel - but it was still worse than we expected. Four other people we went on holiday with had booked a two star hotel in Santa Ponca and that hotel was a paradise compared with Las Palomas.

The hotel had no reception. The room was not only completely worn down but also badly cleaned the whole week. The sides of the balcony was made of some type of plastic that was rocked by the wind all night so you had to sleep with balcony door closed or you wouldn’t sleep at all. Since there (of course) was no air condition the nights
became unbearably hot. The hotel had one plus and that was it’s location very near the beach. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone, it must be possible to get better for your money.

Some guests have dificulties to find the reception area, as there are different entrances to the complex. Just have to look for a green door with the letters ( conserje ).
Las Palomas has got a housekeeper/corcierge living just beside the concirgerie where always there is somebody. Night time there is a guard for the check in and for helping if there are any problems.
All studios have got optional air conditioning with small suplement. Every 3 days there is cleaning and towells change and bedlinen every 7 days. No problem to give extra towells if necessary.
We would like to offer maid service more often, but we would have to increase the rates and we know that most of our clients prefer to pay cheaper and have less services.

If the guest finds somethig inside the apartment out of order, only has to inform the concierge who will order to the technician to repare it.
Hope the above information will help to future clients.
