Arrived late on a Sunday and the rooms we got overlooking the pool were great. The rooms were basic, clean and the shower room was ample.
The corridors were dated, and the first hotel where the corridor was carpeted, but we didnt spend much time on the corridors, so no issues.
The food was what you would expect when your all inclusive, its made in bulk, but the variety meant that there was always something that you fancied. There was a full english if you wanted for breakfast, along with the continental options.
Lunch and dinners were always varied, so you didnt get bored with the same thing. We did a couple of times went to the nearby Castaways for breakfast, but that was when we overslept due to being out until the early hours.
The entertainment wasnt always the best, but a couple of nights there was something worth watching.
The clientel was mixed with Brits and French, and at no time were the french given preferential treatment, although a few of them were arrogant.

The drinks were basic, and it was self service, the lager was estrella damme and the spirits were local. We bought our own vodka and used that, 10euro for a ltr of vodka didnt break the bank.
The week was spoilt with the weather, the first 4 days were cold, rain, thunder and lighting and the remaining 3 days were glorious. the hotel didnt have much on when the weather was bad, but who would expect majorca to be cold.

The nightlife was great, the stadium karaoke/show bar was great, as was the reflex 80s bar and banana joes. Didnt venture into magaluf for a night, as it was full of young kids, but we did hear it was great

We didnt use the safes, as we always carried our wallets/purses, but the wife left her purse twice, and she had 50 pounds missing when she checked nearer the end of the week.. The euros were not touched??? Didnt complain, as i knew what the response would have been, use the safes next time.

The pool area was clean and tidy, and the Amacion entertainment team always joined in with the many kids that were there.

We checked out at noon, and we laid around until the transfer at 6pm, to which the hotel offered us a room to get showered etc, could nt complain
If i was to go back to palma nova, i would stay here again, as it was cheap, cheerful and friendly enough

me and my partner have just arrived back from ola club panama. we stayed the week of 17th to 24th may 2011. on arrival they had said we had'nt booked as this was a "french hotel"! and to our discovery after saying hello to everyone it was! the reply was bonjour and we were in spain!! after check in we retired to the self service bar and `snack' area! there was one larger which tasted of p***water! and not a pint or even half pint glass to be seen. but lots of spirits! which towards the end of our holiday we borowed a cocktail list from another english couple with english initive. The snacks that were available throughout the week were stale bread, sweaty cheese, and meat that had been left out all day in the heat. the food overall in the `school canteen' was just crap! we ate out and so did the other 15 brits, 5 out 7 days with breakfast, lunch and dinner! for a nice english meal recomendations go to castaways. The enterainment wasnt much better either, it was all in french! with the odd cheesy english song. alot of our holiday time and nights was spent in banana joes bar just around the corner with good british company!

Room Tip: `go to a different hotel

This is a late entry as i have been looking at other resorts for this year and decided to see what was written about the place we stayed in last year. This is my opinion and make you should make own mind up, but we found the staff friendly, maybe a little shrift at reception but they have different languages and accents to contend with, however they were friendly with us and sorted out any little problems we encountered without difficulty. The food was good and varied, though a little repititve. Snacks are constantly topped up and the area was clean.
Hotel clean though very dated. If this was updated i would go back, but we are trying somwhere different this year, just for a change.
There are a lot of Belgians & French staying there but if you only want Brits in your Hotel stay in England.
Our European friends don't like to queue, and are receptive to being told to join the back of the queue!! Not.
Go with an open mind and don't expect everyone to bow down to you just coz your a Brit!!
Shops down the road stock the majority of things but shop around to get the best price for goods.
We went to the aqua park one day which was quiet expensive for what it is, when you pay to get in but then have to pay for inflatables to go on some rides. Food not cheap either. Free bus from down the road though.
Beach at Palma Nova clean and fair few things to do there as well.
Try Castaways down the road for a pint and if like me and my lad missed our football go there for a pint and watch the big screen t.v.
If you expect the Hilton quality then stay at the Hilton, not a package holiday hotel that caters for different nationalities.

Room Tip: Just ask for a better room.

Just got back from our holiday. We spent two nights here and had to move hotels due to the noise. They fill the hotel up with hen and stag partys, so if you have children it is bad. Also lots of steps everywhere so no good if you have a pram. Didnt know they charge you for a cot until we arrived. Never again, one of the worst holidays ever!

Great value for money.26 of us stayed here for a hen party.had a great time as a group but wouldn't go as a couple.the French think they own the place and don't know what a queue is.the staff are quite rude to the English and make no effort to communicate but then speak fluent French.the food is very basic but edible.rooms are very roomy an done us fine.pool is very deep and freezing cold.self serve bar is amazing and never is a queue.would use again as a base if we go again as it was cheap and saved us alot on drink.
