“Return for Winter break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

Been back one day but just wanted to say entertainment has been reduced to 3 nights a week for winter instead od 7 but if u r going now it.s back u to 7 nights.
It was good to see Mat back for this season but not so keen on his sidekick Jake who needs to work in a holiday camp. Only sits and talks to woman between 18 to 30 and dressed in shorts a t shir fr the evening entertainment when Mat was dressed in suite every night just as the guess look smart. But by the end of our stay Jake had better dress sense so guess a word in the rite ear worked
Keep u the god work mat and Jake pull yr socks up we might not be young and good looking but still like to be seen and talked to????

Keep up the good work Mat hope to see u october and Jake work the room we r not all young and good looking

Room Tip: all rooms have sea view

The hotel is in a fantastic position overlooking two beaches and in walking distance of shops restaurants and bars. The staff we pleasant and friendly and Matt and Jake the entertainment team were superb. The food was plentiful and good although it was clearly aimed at an older British market. The sun deck and pool area have wonderful views across the bay and there is room for everyone. The public areas of the hotel appear to have had refurbishment however this has not been extended to the rooms and although spotlessly clean they felt dark and dated. While we didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms they let down this otherwise delightful hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and most of the staff are friendly, the views are amazing. I got home only today and I want to go back already. Although the best part of the holiday is the night time entertainment (not the live shows they are a bit hit and miss) - Matt and Jake really do entertain you ;) And if you go all inclusive have some drinks at the hotel you can head off into Magaluf for a mad night and spend nothing!! The clientele are of the older generation but found we found it better to relax and enjoy the sun with them.

Room Tip: To the best of my knowledge all the rooms have an amazing view, if you don't like heights don...

We have had a great 10 days at this hotel we stayed on the 6th floor and were told this floor and above had been refurbished. The room was small but adequate for 2 people with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities not sure if you have to pay for this is if you are half board we went all inclusive, maid service very good room kept clean. Restuarant provided a great variety of food you would really have to be fussy to come away hungry, drinks plentiful (if all inclusive).
Staff helpful & pleasant enough some more than others Rafa & Sebastion & the young lady cooking fresh in restuarant always took time to speak.
Entertainment lets the hotel down very poor and the two entertainment staff Jake needs to learn how to speak to people personally think he in wrong hotel poss 19-30 or diff job would be better, Matt likes just to sit and chat to everyone.
Pool very cold and not very big for size of hotel
No where for children to play not even alot of room by pool as sunbeds are right by it so could be dangerous for tiny tots.
Shop on site where you can hire kettle, cups, towels & deckchairs not expensive.
Will definately be going back.

Room Tip: all rooms have sea view from what we could see but seems higher foors have been refurbished

Having just returned from our third trip to Palma Nova, twice staying at the Santa Lucia, we love this Hotel so much that we have booked it again for September. Hotel has just been refurbished in the reception area the decor is looking great. Most of the staff are the same and it was so nice to be recognised from our previous visits. As usual Mathew from the entertainments team was exceptional, he goes that extra mile with all ages and always gets up early to see people off on the bus when they are leaving, such a nice touch to the end of the holiday (pity he doesnt get credited with such a nice touch) Food, drinks, cleanliness, everything was spot on the only thing i was disappointed at was the entertainment at night, this will be changing in May and will be back to its normal standard. Room Tip: The side of the Hotel facing the Son Matais beach has fantastic views

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, couldn't fault anything, staff were friendly and helpfull, food was excellant, we did upgrade to 7th floor which was well worth extra money, fridge included, with wonderfull views across the bay. Entertainment not so good but that didn't bother us. Went walking a lot and went on local buses.
Sun shone everyday temperatrue just right. A lovely 10 day break and would go back.

Room Tip: Room upgrade

We recently had a fortnight here and I was glad to get home. We had 3 beds in the room and there was not enough room to swing a cat. The balcony is tiny and comes with a table and 2 chairs so took it in turns sitting with my children. The bath is tiny and the shower feels like it's beating down on you like nails. Not good after sunbathing !! Different life guards had different rules for the pool, some let you use lilos. Others didn't.
Reception staff are fabulous, as are the restaurant staff members. Apart from the blonde with too much make up as she regularly duddled me out of change. €2 euros a time she took off me. I thought it was a charge for getting our drinks until the other girls didn't take it. Didn't realise till well into our last week so couldn't do anything apart from avoid her.
We loved the lady who cooks the fresh food. She was chatty and very nice.
The entertainment was very poor. We only ever stated to watch one full performance and that was Arron .... Dean Martin and frank Sinatra. Too old fir my kids but we still enjoyed it.
The maids are noisy at 7.30am with their shouting and balling and they didn't keep the noise down despite my asking them too. The bath water smelled like raw sewage so we always felt dirty when allegedly clean.
The inhouse entertainment team are indescribable !! Jake is new to the resort this year and has absolutely NO people skills. He has a bad attitude and should not be let anywhere near people. He snaps at you and belittles you, also poke fun at guests behind their backs.
Matt was too busy getting drunk to be of any use. He was quite standoffish and clearly had his favourites. Mostly young boys !!!
Don't play the bingo !! The hotel takes a cut for the privilege and they got quite arsey when I asked for the proof of the appropriate licence. Tickets are €2 euros each but I saw some people given them for less than that and even free !!!!!
Also, if you're going to book all inclusive do it at the hotel when you arrive. It is cheaper than booking with the travel agent.
