Have stayed here many times over the years. Staff do not seem to change with the usual faces.
They are very friendly and helpful. Food is of a wide choice and plentiful.
Non-smoking inside the hotel which is heaven. Problem starts when you hope for fresh air on the balcony....be prepared to smoke the occasional fag without even putting one in your mouth.
All inclusive seems pointless when there are lots of bars just over the road.
You can certainly only eat and drink so much, so skip lunch is my advise.
Rooms are getting a bit tired and ready for a face lift. Do not get me wrong, this is a super hotel in a super resort. Try it if you like everything on the door step.
Down side is Thomson are getting greedy and no longer put the customer first. Reps in hotel are
of very limited experience, so if you need to see them, make sure they are awake before you start talking.

Room Tip: pool view for the mid day sun.

Just returned from the Santa Lucia Hotel after 10 days. Got off to a bad start as we arrived at 10.30am and our room would not be ready until 6.30pm. We complained to the Rep and we were given a courtesy room on 5th floor until our room was ready. When we moved to our room on 6th floor we had to lug our cases ourselves as there is no porter in the hotel. There was a bottle of champagne in our new room as a way of an apology but it really spoilt our first day with all the messing about. First time this has ever happened to us but on talking to other guests this is quite a regular occurrence. The hotel was clean and the food was OK, even if you are a fussy eater you would find something to your liking. However, on a couple of occasions our room was not cleaned/made up until after 4.30pm. Whilst the public areas are very clean we found that the bedroom was not as clean as we are used to. The first 5 days or so we felt like we were in an old peoples' home! Gradually new people came to the hotel which included younger couples and a few children. This hotel is totally British, and even got black pudding for breakfast. I would not recommend children at this hotel as the pool is very small and there is no childrens club. The outside space is rather cramped. However, you are right on the beach. One word of warning though. We hired a safe in our room and it cost us 62 euros, with 10 euros refunded when we returned the key. We have never paid as much as that before but unfortunately the option was to carry all your valuables around with you so we had to have a safe. Entertainment is low key. There is a quiz every night which is quite fun and I never thought I would say I enjoyed the nightly bingo but with prize money at around 350 euros I could not resist. I did win this one night so was delighted. Between 10pm and 11pm there are usually tribute singers which are mediocre. However, one night there was a comedian opera singer and he was brilliant. We stayed all inclusive and the bar staff were a really miserable lot. However, if you weren't all inclusive their attitude changed as obviously they were looking for a tip! The restaurant staff were very good. One thing which I really did not like and have never seen this before was first thing in the morning. To choose your sunbed you had to queue by a locked door from about 7am in order to get one. They will not let you go out of the door until 8am and some mornings the queue stretched from this locked door right across the foyer to the lifts. One of the main problems is that there are very few parasols and if like me, you need shade, then you really have to queue. Yes I know sunbed reserving can be a nuisance but I have never had to wait behind a door until it is unlocked. Our room was on the 6th floor and whilst the view from our balcony was the thing dreams are made of we did suffer the nightclub sounds until late at night. The beds were terribly hard and was suffering back ache by the end of our stay. We did enjoy our holiday but I am afraid we will not be returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a superior room which are located on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors. Rooms are still smallish but they are better decorated.

I have just spent a week at this lovely hotel.I went with 5 other friends,we loved the hotel. We all had superior rooms which are very good, lovely views ,comfortable beds, tea &coffee, everything we wanted. The food is excellent lots of choice, hot, fresh just lovely.the only problem is the race for sun beds at7 30am,which is ridiculous, many people keep them all day, even when not using them. However it did not spoil our break, and we would all go back. The staff are so helpful and friendly, cleaning staff excellent.I really recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room.

Just spent a week at this hotel after a weeks cruise. On the Saturday arrival the room type that we had booked in October 13 was not available but would be on the Monday, which it was. The receptionists were issuing room numbers with no reference to what had been booked.
The Hotel is ideally situated on the beach and is only an 8 minute walk to Magaluf The food is varied and good quality. The rooms are comfortable clean and of a reasonable size.
We were all inclusive, but would not do that again as the area is full of excellent bars, cafés and restaurant's. As mentioned in several reviews the bar area for all inclusive guests is at the end of the main bar. This made me feel like a second class guest yet we had paid extra for this.
Several of the bar staff but not all were very surly and if they were to smile their face would crack. Those collecting the glasses would clatter them together noisily. Very strange attitude to take, because if the hotel had no guests they would have no job.
For all inclusive there were a lot of additional costs. Room safe was 30 Euros for a week. Fridge to be unlocked for a week was over 40 Euros and there were no Sunbed Towels, they could be hired in the Hire shop. As could kettles as there were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
Would we go back. Yes we would. The Deputy Manager Anna is excellent, will listen and try to rectify problems. Which is more than can be said for the Thomson Reps in the hotel. The welcome meeting was all read from a tablet, and when asking where certain places were we were told sorry I have not been in resort long and don't know. Definitely the worst reps we have ever had. Only interested in trying to sell excursions. The Team leader was replaced while we were there. We witnessed the Hotel Deputy Manager trying to resolve an issue which was the Reps responsibility. Several guests were having heated discussions with them and not getting any satisfaction. Trying to pass the buck

Room Tip: Higher floors have better rooms
