Apart from my dads fall - we have had yet another perfect, relaxing holiday at our second home Santa Lucia Hotel.
The maids are lovely, the staff are lovely, Anna is amazing, and Sonia on reception is a dear friend to us as we have been coming so many years. Miguel always smiling, and so is Toni.
Also so lovely to see the lovely Matthew again for his second year as the entertainment host. Matthew knows you by name and he makes the day so fun. I didnt feel the same vibe from the other entertainment host Jake, i found him a bit rude to be honest but that didnt stop us enjoying our time here....

We will be back and we love you all very much xxxxx

I found this Hotel excellent and the staff including the girls doing the rooms very courteous and helpful. No complaints at all. The location especially is superb. We were all inclusive which we enjoyed, the food was excellent and very plentiful, something for everybody. Definitely would stay there again.

had a week at this hotel having stayed here before BIG mistake we went all inclusive . This was the mistake because you are AI you are treated different to HB you are segregated to one end of the bar with plastic glasses .In the dinning room this continues you have to sit away from HB guests .And some of the staff are just awful it seems to be beneath them to serve anyone on AI I hope the management try to short this attitude out as it used to be a excellent hotel .So please try to address this problem lets face it for the money I paid ( at £1600 it cost just as much or more than HB) so please do not treat like a second class guest . This attitude has put me off returning and I am now going to cancel my week in October .Lets hope this attitude is changed for the sake of this hotel

Have stayed here many times over the years. Staff do not seem to change with the usual faces.
They are very friendly and helpful. Food is of a wide choice and plentiful.
Non-smoking inside the hotel which is heaven. Problem starts when you hope for fresh air on the balcony....be prepared to smoke the occasional fag without even putting one in your mouth.
All inclusive seems pointless when there are lots of bars just over the road.
You can certainly only eat and drink so much, so skip lunch is my advise.
Rooms are getting a bit tired and ready for a face lift. Do not get me wrong, this is a super hotel in a super resort. Try it if you like everything on the door step.
Down side is Thomson are getting greedy and no longer put the customer first. Reps in hotel are
of very limited experience, so if you need to see them, make sure they are awake before you start talking.

Room Tip: pool view for the mid day sun.

Just returned from the Santa Lucia Hotel after 10 days. Got off to a bad start as we arrived at 10.30am and our room would not be ready until 6.30pm. We complained to the Rep and we were given a courtesy room on 5th floor until our room was ready. When we moved to our room on 6th floor we had to lug our cases ourselves as there is no porter in the hotel. There was a bottle of champagne in our new room as a way of an apology but it really spoilt our first day with all the messing about. First time this has ever happened to us but on talking to other guests this is quite a regular occurrence. The hotel was clean and the food was OK, even if you are a fussy eater you would find something to your liking. However, on a couple of occasions our room was not cleaned/made up until after 4.30pm. Whilst the public areas are very clean we found that the bedroom was not as clean as we are used to. The first 5 days or so we felt like we were in an old peoples' home! Gradually new people came to the hotel which included younger couples and a few children. This hotel is totally British, and even got black pudding for breakfast. I would not recommend children at this hotel as the pool is very small and there is no childrens club. The outside space is rather cramped. However, you are right on the beach. One word of warning though. We hired a safe in our room and it cost us 62 euros, with 10 euros refunded when we returned the key. We have never paid as much as that before but unfortunately the option was to carry all your valuables around with you so we had to have a safe. Entertainment is low key. There is a quiz every night which is quite fun and I never thought I would say I enjoyed the nightly bingo but with prize money at around 350 euros I could not resist. I did win this one night so was delighted. Between 10pm and 11pm there are usually tribute singers which are mediocre. However, one night there was a comedian opera singer and he was brilliant. We stayed all inclusive and the bar staff were a really miserable lot. However, if you weren't all inclusive their attitude changed as obviously they were looking for a tip! The restaurant staff were very good. One thing which I really did not like and have never seen this before was first thing in the morning. To choose your sunbed you had to queue by a locked door from about 7am in order to get one. They will not let you go out of the door until 8am and some mornings the queue stretched from this locked door right across the foyer to the lifts. One of the main problems is that there are very few parasols and if like me, you need shade, then you really have to queue. Yes I know sunbed reserving can be a nuisance but I have never had to wait behind a door until it is unlocked. Our room was on the 6th floor and whilst the view from our balcony was the thing dreams are made of we did suffer the nightclub sounds until late at night. The beds were terribly hard and was suffering back ache by the end of our stay. We did enjoy our holiday but I am afraid we will not be returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a superior room which are located on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors. Rooms are still smallish b...

I have just spent a week at this lovely hotel.I went with 5 other friends,we loved the hotel. We all had superior rooms which are very good, lovely views ,comfortable beds, tea &coffee, everything we wanted. The food is excellent lots of choice, hot, fresh just lovely.the only problem is the race for sun beds at7 30am,which is ridiculous, many people keep them all day, even when not using them. However it did not spoil our break, and we would all go back. The staff are so helpful and friendly, cleaning staff excellent.I really recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room.
