We stayed here for 11 days at the end of June. Location is ideal - virtually on the beach. Our room on 5th floor was smallish, but adequate, clean with enough storage. Lovely view from private balcony.
We were all inclusive and had plenty to choose from at each meal. The food was good quality. We were always greeted by friendly staff at the door, although staff clearing the tables were less keen to engage. The cleaner on our floor always had a cheery greeting.
Evening entertainment started at 10pm and was generally good, but there is the option of going out and about to visit other places nearby. There was 1 game of bingo each evening for the cost of €2 - prize money was around €80 for 1 line and €400 for a full house - this attracted many people.
You can hire towels, iron, ironing board, hairdryer straighteners, kettles & cups (€5 a week), parasols (€5 per holiday), lilos (from €4.90) from the hotel shop.
Local transport is cheap and you can get friendly, helpful advice from the staff at the nearby bus station. We took the bus to Santa Ponsa - beautiful little bay. We also took the express bus to Palma which stops at the main Bus Station - I had to use my limited spanish to find out which direction to take to get to the Cathedral - it wasn't far away.
Marineland is walkable from the hotel - takes about 1 hour to get there wandering along a pretty walkway parallel to the main road.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views.

Stayed here previously and seriously forgot how good it was!!! Have travelled the world, staying at hotels in 5 continents and this certainly ranks amongst the best.

The location is absolutely superb. Perched on a rocky headland between two of Palma Nova's fabulously sandy beaches, it is the focal point of the entire resort, looking out over the gentle blue and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean - with sea view room guaranteed!

The street outside the hotel is lined with shops, bars and restaurants. Pick of the bunch is the Lady Diana Bar only 100 metres away and boasting brilliant food, drink and live music. Just ask for Tony, Jesus or Marco and they will sort you out! We were in there every night, the same as the year before and absolutely love the place!

The hotel reception is immaculately kept as are all indoor areas, cocktail bar, lounge and restaurant. Staff are friendly and will do their best to solve any problems you may have. The hotel is predominantly occupied by middle aged and/or elderly couples or groups of friends, with a few young families thrown in as well. Not really suitable for groups of boys or girls looking for a base from which to assault nearby Magalluf. While we were there, a gang of nine or ten boys checked in and - just our luck! - the ringleaders were allocated the room next door to ours before proceeding to host a noisy, boisterous party around midnight. Not having it, we went downstairs and immediately complained. Remember what I said about the problem solving willingness of the staff? Withing a couple of minutes, the duty manager was upstairs, laying down the house rules and calling time on their antics. We never heard another murmur and next day the boys checked out, booking in at more suitable accomodation down the road. That aside, we got a great night's sleep every night, which is just what the doctor ordered!

Read reviews before we arrived about people queuing up for and hogging sunbeds - not true! There were sunbeds aplenty, negating the need to queue up at silly o'clock to put out towels and the like. The pool area is fantastic by the way; very clean with lots of tables and chairs and overlooking the beach and bay. The poolside bar is very well run. I think the manager there is called Jose, so well done to him; polite, efficient service for everyone, be it half board guests or those all inclusive.

We went all inclusive, which we thought was great, especially where drinks were concerned and well worth the additional cost. Lots of choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and throw away cups as well - brilliant for hygiene, reducing the possibility of picking up something nasty off a dirty glass. Pity all hotels aren't the same - nudge, nudge, wink, wink, wouldn' say boo to a blind horse! Food mostly good but perhaps needs a little bit more variation - oh, and a few poolside pizzas and burgers wouldn't go amiss, either, alongside one or two more soft fried eggs at breakfast.

Bedrooms basic but adequate with outstanding views making up for any perceived shortfalls in decor, etc. Very clean, though, with brillaint maid service to boot. Those girls do such a good job they deserve medals as big as a dustbin lid! Lots of hot, running water and clean towels daily. Air con and multi-channel TV but no fridge, which is a shame - not that it really matters when staying all inclusive, so scrub that bit!

High quality professional shows most evenings, coupled with music, bingo and quizzes. Can be difficult to get a seat at times, but that didn't bother us as we liked to get out and explore the resort, shopping and stopping off for the occasional drink. So much to do it is untrue; recommend Britannia Jet boat trip to Palma and Marineland dolphin show down the coast. No need to worry about Magalluf; ominously close by but still far enough away to be totally ignored should you so wish.

All in all a great holiday. Defintely going back to same hotel and resort next year. Wouldn't miss it for the world!!! Good on you if you're just off there - enjoy!!!

Room Tip: Spectacular views across the bay on all sides of the hotel - just go with the flow, you won't be...

Me and my boyfriend (both aged 20) have just returned from a great 11 night stay in this hotel. Before booking we read lots of reviews on here and most of them helped us make the right decision but some are just plain stupid!! If you have transfer to the hotel included in your booking don't expect a rep on your coach because they don't do it anymore but we soon forgot about that when we was first drop off and our first impressions were very good! There was a few other people arriving at the same time as us so there was a little queue so the man on reception was quickly getting through the line giving us our room key and taking our passports off us and we quickly asked can we pay for the fridge to then find out it was free which we didn't know about but of course was happy about. Our room was on the 7th floor, room 718 a superior room and the views from the balcony were so stunning!! Hotel pool and the beautiful sandy beach! The room was just the right size for the two of us but it was only needed to sleep in so that was fine. We paid to get a safe and it was around £50 for the 11 nights we were there. The food was the only downside to the holiday but we didn't mind as we were half board, if you like pork and chicken then you'll be ok.. There isn't a big range of puddings and breakfast is what you would expect. The sunbed situation is just a bit silly, we were told that people start to queue for the pool area to be opened at 6:30am to reserve the sun beds when it only opens at 8!! As long as you get down there before 9 then you are guaranteed to get some around the pool and definitely guaranteed to get some on the sun terraces but we preferred around the pool because it got too warm on the sun terrace. The reps in the hotel were very helpful when it came to booking trips, this year we went to marineland and Katmandu park and were great value for money with Thomson. Around the hotel there is lots to do, we were spoilt for choice with lots of shops and bars and the hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the magaluf strip and nightlife so not too close, not too far. If your just looking for a quiet holiday though by 12 o'clock everything is closed around the hotel so it goes nice and quiet and you can't hear the noise from magaluf. We can't really comment on the entertainment of a night because we didn't see it once because we went out every night. Whilst we were there there was a new girl Gemma who joined Matthew with the animation team to encourage people to play different games during the day but there wasn't much choice but it seemed like this was going to get better because they were asking for new ideas, so this should improve. Overall we had a brilliant holiday thanks to hotel santa lucia and may return in the future.

First time holiday to Palmanova and of course the Santa Lucia, the hotel is situated in probably the best location available. The hotel is very clean and tidy, we had a superior room (808) and were very pleased with it and the fantastic view ! We used both the beach and pool, we had no problem getting a sun lounger around the pool but I think we were just lucky as there was always a queue. We went all inclusive but we were limited to house beer or half price on the other beers, all inclusive is and should be exactly that! The food was ok but vegetarian food had sea food in it? this needs addressing. Evening entertainment was your standard hotel set up but good. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly. There are plenty of shops / restaurants around and your close to Palma. We ate out some nights, if you like Indian food try the Tandoori night, food is excellent as is the Viceroy for pizzas and steaks. All told we enjoyed our holiday at the Santa Lucia and would return.

We stayed here in October 2013 and the weather was still 28/29 degrees, which was lovely! The hotel was really great and the location was brilliant. It is literately on the beach which I love more than the pool. The pool was okay but was really cold and there was hardly any space even in the October half term. We went all inclusive but we don't know if it was the time of year or the food itself but it was very same-y and not that full of flavour. The breakfast was brilliant and you could eat as much as you like and they had a variety of full English along with cereals and fruits. The room we had was a really good size for the two of us and had plenty of space for our belongings. We had a really lovely time and would go back again but possibly in the Summer where the hotel is in full flow as the season is almost over in October.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the left side of the beach as you enter the hotel. It was brilliant as it...

Had a fab 11 days holiday at this hotel
We had a superior room which was on the 8th floor, great views and a lovely clean room.
The food was very nice and lots of choice.
Lots of shops, bars and restaurant just outside hotel.
It was nice to have a walk after dinner and go to some of the bars.
Would go back to hotel about 10pm to get the last of the entertainment which was ok, its your typical hotel entertainment, with the tribute acts.
Beach is lovely, for 2 beds and a parasol 13.50 euro, but all day on beach it was well worth it.
Went round pool for a couple of days, beds were usually all gone by 10am. But we preferred the beach.
Had a car for one day which was great to explore the island, so many nice places to see. Especially Villamousa (not sure if i spelt it right!!) and Soller.
Would recommend this hotel, but would get really busy in school holidays.
