We have just returned from the Luabay Galatzo on the 10th June and once again had a fantastic time. Unfortunately, this will have been our last visit as this hotel will not be in the Thomson brochure next year.

A big thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable - namely Maria, Mikel, Clarence, Steven, Tomas (Mariposa), Felicia (Malibu) and Pepe (Lifeguard) and Harry Potter (Courtesy Bus driver). You were all so much fun.

The food seems to get better with every visit and this year was fantastic with so much variety and choice. The waiters catered for our every need with drinks at our tables for breakfast, lunch and dinner always with a smile - nothing was ever too much trouble!

We were allocated a Superior Room this year which was light, airy and spacious with great views. The room was cleaned daily immaculately.

All in all, we had a brilliant time and hopefully, will return again sometime.

Thank you to you all.

Glenn & Julie, Abergavenny

Room Tip: Rooms in the main building have easy access to all facilities.

Travelled as a couple (mid 30's) in the first week of June.

Pros
Lovely poolside environment, no loud music & good bar service
Comfy poolside loungers
Good sized comfortable bedrooms
Good pool towels (can be changed 4 times - you need to leave a e30 deposit)
Good food in the main restaurant (some of the best we have had but not great) - I'm a fussy vegetarian
Friendly staff
Tasty food in the a lá carte
Good music duo & local acts
Pleasant outdoor bar area to enjoy a drink in the evening
Nice spa & gym area
Daily shuttle buses to Peguera
Great views of Santa Ponsa

Cons
We stayed in the hotel (floor 2) & the corridor had a rather off putting smell
The room smelt of stale smoke
Towels not changed
Struggled to book the a lá carte & tapas & had to be squeezed in last minute
The local duo whilst good suffered from over exposure & we were fed up with listening to them by day 4
It can be quite a distance between the main area & Vista Del Rey (& steps)
Not shown to the room
If you want an early night you will struggle as the acts don't finish until 2300 & you can hear them across the hotel
The hotel is at the top of a hill overlooking Peguera
The a lá carte portions were tiny

The average age of the customers seemed to be 60 & they seemed to be having a great time & as we were looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday this suited us.

Arrive home yesterday from a wonderful weeks break. Check in computers not working at Bournemouth departure and no info given by staff. V. poor.
Hotel in a great position high above Paguera and no children ! When will someone do children free flights !
Room in main building was fine. We were on the ground floor. Still had a great sea view and had a terrace (2 sunbeds, 2 chairs + table). Food was good all week with the right amount of choice. Restaurant service friendly and efficient, as was the case in the bar with generous measures.
Pool areas not too crowded + there were lots of places to find some shade and read a book with a cold drink.
There is a shuttle bus that runs in to town several times during the day but this was clearly not big enough - 7 cramped seats inc the driver.
Our departure time was 07.45 and it would appear that an early breakfast can be ordered if you ask.
Overall great value and highly recommended.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in,

Staff from arrival to departure were efficient and attentive, the food was varied and well presented , service in the resturant was excellent with drinks served at our table and staff attending to our every need on request,

The bar staff were efficent and so entertaining that it was like having a resident comedy team,
drinks were good quality and good measures served with minimum waiting, our room was cleaned every day with sheets changed three times in the week and towels changed twice.
Richard the Thomson rep was always available and an excellent rep that Thomson should be proud of.
The hotel has lovely grounds and is in a hillside position so not very good for the less mobile there are of course access ramps in all stepped areas,
We walked to Paguera about 20 minutes away all downhill but the walk back took 30 minutes all up hill of course, The other walk is to Santa Ponsa about 50 minutes and not quite as steep to walk back, a taxi from Pagura cost 5 euros .
Always sunbeds were free and I did not see any reserved with towels for hours.

Food was always hot and varied with dfferent meat and fish dishes served ,also a good selection of vegetables, salad and sweets
In all an excellent week with good weather and company

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have best view, ground floor rooms are a bit dull due to the trees ,we had room 323 in the main building which had a partial sea view and partial pool view

One of our best holidays abroad. Yes, sure, some guests could find fault if they wanted to, but we had a great week.
We found the hotel well situated, clean inside and out with a good variety of tasty food and excellent staff. Particular mention for the bar staff who worked tirelessly and with good humour all week. The entertainment was also very good. We particularly liked Penny and Rob, aka The Notes, who were both talented and versatile.
Our favourite facility was the small pool, especially from 5pm onwards. Warm evening sun with a glass of wine, perfect!

Room Tip: We all look for different things, just tell the staff if you are not happy, we found them very obliging.
