Just returned home after a lovely week relaxing. Hotel staff were very helpful courteous, and Thomson reps go to great length to assist you in all you need. Hotel set outside Pegeura town but shuttle bus available into town, can be walked to even with walking disabilities. Hotel is spotless and food amazing, lots of activities to to keep you entertained and the hotel band (The Notes) are wonderful, really talented young lady

I thought I'd start this review with a list of what exactly is included, on top of the usual all inclusive, as part of your stay. Some websites, including our travel agents, missed a few treats:

- A la Carte restaurant
- Tapas restaurant
- Use of two outdoor pools
- Archery and shooting
- Tennis
- Spa, including indoor pool (excluding treatments)
- Shuttle bus into Peguera
- Beach towels available for hire
- Free WiFi in the lobby
- Free bottle of water each day (ask at reception!)

The hotel grounds are beautiful and you can easily find yourself in one of the hammocks or many sunbeds overlooking Santa Ponca or Peguera.

Our room was a 'bungalow', which has a balcony with a sea view. The room itself was very comfortable (with A/C), modern and cleaned daily. As is the case with most hotels, you can have access to the safe for a small daily fee (discounted to €2.40 a day, for our 10 nights).

The main restaurant is buffet style, however the food is high quality with plenty of variety. There is also a chef able to cook meats to your own taste. Should you wish, you can reserve a table at the a la Carte or Tapas bars - although it did appear to be the same menu daily - both however well worth a visit.

The hotel shuttle bus drops you off within about 20 paces of the buses into Palma, which cost €3.75 per person, each way. Palma is a beautiful city, which takes an hour to travel to on the 102 route.

Some reviews on TripAdvisor comment that the hotel is German speaker focussed, however we did not find this the case. All the entertainment was in English (the singing duo were in fact English) and all staff are fluent.

Some of the included entertainment featured flamenco dancers, a jazz band and signing duo. During the day, Thomson/ the Hotel put on some further extras including birds of prey, reptile display, a guided trip to Peguera market and walks out to view points.

Room Tip: The 'bungalows' are separate from the main hotel and are probably quieter as a result.

We have visited this hotel in Oct last year. We have booked it via Thompson and it was the first time we have chosen a 'couples' hotel.
Price was just over £500 for a week all inclusive as season was endding and hotel is a bit secluded on a hill awaai from village centre. However, that what we liked about it the most. It was very secluded and quiet.
You could easily get to the nearest village Paquera by taxi for just a few euros or we even saw people walking there an back. Hotel has also got a shuttle bus that can take you to the beach in the monrining and afternoon and bring back. It is also not too far from Palma so you can take local bus and go for 1 day city break.
We have not purchased any organised trips but hired a car to go on the trip around the island. We went to a weekly market in Inca which is massive and worth visiting, then we travelled to the norh coast above Puerto de Polenca for amazing vews. Then we driven across the mountains to the Soller.
There is also a local market in Andrax but not worth going to be honest.
In reagrds to the hotel facilities it has all you need but just looks a bit dated in communal areas. I loved the layout , spanish natural style and lush green bushes and trees everywhere.
There are 2 pools, one with access to the bar available via all inclusive deal and the other one has much more smarter bar as well as restaurant but you need to pay for it.
Main restaurant is not too big but service is absolutely fantastic and food is described very well for vegetrians or who are on gluten free diet. There wasn't much food variety but maybe because hotel was quiet and did not have much guests that time but quality was good.
I was dissapointed with quality of wine which was awful but I managed to get used to it after few days. The problem is you could not even pay for any other. Only better quality and branded spirits were available as extra paid for but not wine.
Our room was quite spacious with a baclony and partial sea view (expected a bit more afterb paying extra for a sea view). Bathroom was very spacious and recently renowarted, very smart but you could see issues with ventialtion and mould appearing already.
Entartainment weas very good and run by Thompson staff, there were some external acts which we quite enjoyed.

Room Tip: get a sea view room

We have just returned from our holiday at the Luabay Galatzo Hotel. If you like scenic views and a lovely quiet spot than this is the place for you. It is just a 20 minute walk into the nearest town, Peguera. Peguera was a great little place with a very relaxed atmosphere and not very overcrowded.

The hotel itself was amazing. I went with my boyfriend for a relaxing week in the sun and were not disappointed. The grounds are very charming and well kept with lots of greenery and different places to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Both pools were well maintained as was all of the grounds.

We stayed in a standard double room in the main building. The ground floor balcony was lovely and big and south facing with a sea view. The bedroom and bathroom was very clean, the bed was comfortable and they even swapped the pillows for us as I don't like feathered ones.

The food was great with a huge selection in the main restaurant. There is also a separate tapas restaurant outside which is lovely and an a la carte restaurant next to the second pool where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets every night with different entertainment.

All staff were helpful, courteous and pleasant in all their dealings. The holiday reps were great fun and went out of thier way to make you feel welcomed.

Overall, a great holiday, in a great location with great food - I would definitely recommend it to others.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main building. The rooms were lovely with south facing balcony and a sea view.

My husband and I spent a fabulous week at the Luabay Galatzo from the 15th to the 22nd of June. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the grounds are beautiful.

Our initial room was dark and gloomy (room 411 in the Lavant building)-however, it did have 2 separate toilets if there were 3 sharing, so we asked to change and were allocated room 516. Room 516 had a lovely terrace and partial sea view. One thing I did hear complaints about was the lack of sea view, this is because the trees and shrubs are quite tall. That said, the views from the grounds were stunning!

The food was superb with different themes each evening. The dishes were labelled and there was loads to choose from.

The staff were friendly and the entertainment was unobtrusive, but accessible to all if wanted.

The pool areas were lovely and there was never any shortage of loungers, although grab 2 cushions because they are very hard to sit on for any length of time!

I could go on and on about how fantastic the atmosphere here is, but it's a bit pointless, because come October, the hotel changes hands and will only cater for the German tourists! We are so disappointed because we were trying to book again for our 20th wedding anniversary in September! So, my advice is, get in quick before you lose the chance!

Room Tip: Forget the room, you'll spend more time on the terraces or by the pool, it's only a place to...

Just returned from a 2week break and completely disappointed with the hotel. 4 star it certainly wasn't 3 at best. Arrived at hotel with no greeting from rep or management. On entering hotel room it felt very damp which continued throughout the stay. Air conditioning didn't seem to work the best and room was basic compared to other couples we spoke to, however, as we didn't spend that long in the room we put up with it. Spent majority of days at the quiet pool which was not looked after and always first thing had the plastic cups from the night before dotted around. Lifeguard ended up cleaning up. Pool itself wasn't looked after and I even had a go at cleaning the debris that had fallen from the trees without any notice taken from the garden staff. The restaurant and bar area of the quiet pool were very understaffed with the staff employed there who did their best. The restaurant in the main building was average at best. There was always something you could find to eat but not the greatest of choices, however, if you like desserts then there was more than you could shake a stick at. Waiters & waitresses were efficient but just didn't talk with the guests. Onto the lobby bar which was manned by 3 numpties whose humour was akin to the chuckle brothers which may have gone down well with some guests but not when you just wanted to get a drink. They actually went close to getting a good hiding a couple of times but again lack of management about the hotel to do anything about it. The entertainment at night was absolutely shocking especially the abba tribute act which was the final straw. Special mention to the animation team especially Helen who were always happy and helpful. Still had a good crack with excellent company and managed to hustle a couple of geezers playing boules.....everyone agreed..time of death....quality! Anyway all felt safe as there were a number of current/retired screws in attendance, obviously discounted rates! At least we had good flight home and all baggage present and correct.

The staff and reps at Galatzo are brilliant. All was as expected and more. Rooms were comfy food was excellent and the grounds are wonderful. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The best place to eat in town was Romantico's well priced and good food. For those who like to shop the main street in Peguera is packed with shops but watch out for the stuff with no prices, the vendors hike the price and then bring it down as you walk away lol. The orange Blossom Trail trip is great, but unless you are really into flamenco then give the big show a swerve.
Richard, the rep is very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the area and is always around to help.
