I and 2 friends have just returned from Ola Apartments in Porto Colom and we all had a great time. We were upgraded free of charge on our arrival and the girl at the reception desk was very polite and pleasant (given that we arrived quite late at 11ish). Our apartment was very clean (basic) and surprisingly large. We had a main balcony as well as 2 private ones coming off each bedroom. We were right on the beach and had numerous bars and eateries on our doorstep. To be honest we couldnt fault a thing!

I would, however, advise that if you are looking for a cash machine, its quite far away and not easily found!

All in all, a great holiday

Returned on 21 Sep 2012 from A/I break. Rooms basic but very clean. Food excellent. Most of staff friendly. Animation team do a great job with the children. Location great, few min walk to beautiful beach. Lovely pool area although I think it would be very cramped in height of summer. Down side: Would not recommend A/I at this hotel unless you are happy with small plastic cups for all your drinks including tea and coffee!! This is the first A/I hotel we have stayed at where you are treated different from other guests and not in a good way. Bar staff will serve paying guests first ( ie BB and HB) regardless if you have been waiting longer and they get glasses or cups for their drinks. My husband gave up drinking beer as two mouth fulls and cup was empty! The bar stops serving A/I prompt at 11pm and will not even give you a glass of water! You can of course pay. Would use hotel again as a base but not on A/I basis. Would not recommend hotel for anyone with mobility problems as restaurant is down 5 or 6 steps.

The hotel is very good when we compare prize and what they gave us. The accommodation was simply, but we didn´t need luxury rooms because nearly all the time we spent outside. The food was delicious, I wouldn´t change anything. The swimming pool was a little bit deep, but we spent more time on the beach...The beach is very beautiful and close to the hotel. There are a lot of possibilities to rent a car near the hotel and it is not very expensive. We visited to Palma, Palmanova, Es Trenc (wonderful!), Manacor and Formentor. The port in Porto Colom is nice and interesting; we took a lot of pictures there. Porto Colom is quit place, very good for take a rest and relax.
Animation was perfect; they work hard from the early morning until midnight or later and always with positive energy and smile. They take about the children, they do mini disco also during their day off on Saturday. They do a lot of different activities for kids around the pool, on the beach, in the garden and in the mini club. We joined a few different activities during our holiday. Thank you, Carlitos, Anna, Katarina, Silvia and Sasa. Without you it would be boring there. We liked riffle shooting, beach volley, zumba and morning fit. We went to excursion to city market and excursion to another beach Cala Brafi, which was really beautiful. We loved evening shows, but we didn´t enjoy so much, because it was very hot inside. Maybe it would be better to go outside…
Thank you for nice holiday.

It was our first time in Mallorca and we like it so much. Porto Colom
is very nice place with beautiful nature. We spent in hotel Cecilia
Club 10 lovely days. Accommodation was good, room was very day clean and big
enough for us. The beach is fantastic and just 2 minutes by walk from the hotel. The
food was delicious, we like so much pasta and lasagne, and also
typical Spanish paella was really good. Staff was very nice, helpful
and friendly. In the restaurant were very nice waitress. In the bar
were sometimes a lot of people, usually in the evening, but Pablo,
Ruben, Kristina, Ana and Pilar were very fast and hard working.
Entertainment was really good, we joined a lot of activities, we liked
morning fit, zumba fitness, beach volley, ping pong, riffle shooting,
archery, latin lesson and water tonic gym. We liked so much Carlitos, he
is really professional and experienced entertainer with good language
skills. We were on holidays in Egypt and Turkey and there were also
good entertainers, but I have never seen somebody like Carlitos. He
was always joking with people and gave them positive energy. He is the
best entertainer I have ever meet. Sasa was also funny, really nice and
friendly Italian latin dancer. We joined all fitness program with
Anna, she was friendly and nice, every time with the smile. Water
tonic gym was a little bit difficult because swimming pool is deep,
but she changed the situation to positive one. We loved zumba with
her, I have never attend such a great zumba fitness class. We enjoyed
variety shows in the evening, it was very funny. And also professional
shows was brilliant, especially flamenco show was amazing. But we saw
that there is also amphitheater in the hotel and they don´t use it.
Maybe it will be better to use it because inside was very hot and lot of people
stayed outside and did not play bingo, did not watch the shows a did
not dance dance group.
My daughter is old to join mini club, but we could see that girls in
mini club are very good with children a kids love them. We liked to
watch mini disco because the all entertainment team love kids and
create positive and nice atmosphere.
I would like to recommend this hotel to everybody, we spent a really
nice family holiday there. Thanks to everybody.

My husband and I have just returned from a 10 day all inclusive holiday at Club Cecilia. We had a lovely relaxing time - though very hot. The rooms are air conditioned so we slept well at night. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful and English is not a problem. All parts of the hotel were very clean and the food was good with a nice selection every day and plenty of it. There is lots of entertainment in the bar, especially for children, as well as bingo, karaoke, etc, Flamenco dancing was excellent. Cala Marsal beach is a lovely little cove and the sea is warm and safe. Porto Colom harbour is beautiful and worth visiting with plenty of nice restaurants, bars etc. One trip that is a must is the Island Tour - Wonderful! You must remember, when reading some of the reviews, that this is 3 star and you get what you pay for. As a 3 star this is very good value for money. If you expect 5 star then that is what you have to pay for and go elsewhere. We are definitely going to go back to Cecilia.

We have just returned from Ola Cecilla after a 10 day break. Stayed in a one bedroom appartment overlooking childrens park and pool area. The appartment was large compared to others we have stayed in over the years ample space for 2 adults and 2 children. Room was clean and tidy did have a problem with ants but ant spray left under sink in all rooms and one or two sprays and they did go. Beds changed twice in our stay left the make up room sign on door and got beds made and fresh towels. The whole complex is clean and tidy.

As said in most reviews beach and Spar shop is a hop skip and jump away beautiful beach and lovely sea non tidal to swim in so really safe for the little ones.

The pool was really deep no shallow end but a little splash pool for non swimmers and lifeguard on duty every day my little girl cut her finger on the steps in the pool and the lifeguard cleaned up for us.

We never normally do AI so was a nice change for me. Breakfast ample food full english, crossiants, Tea Coffee and cold meat and cheese to make up toasties. Lunch/Brunch again ok mixture of pasta salads burgers chicken nuggetts pizza etc Evening meal was a bit hit and miss some nights ok others not so good but could always make up a meal. One gripe the bread always seemed stale. Never had to que for tables always available not luxury dining but for the price and being 3* I think was adequate for the price. Fruit bar was all tinned fruit except for Water Melon and Oranges, Ice Cream also available and some evenings cakes.

The staff and entertainment team worked hard and we had no problems with any of them. Daytime activitives included Darts, Volleyball, Rifle Shooting, Table Tennis, Zumba and Kids Club which my two were to old for really 8 and 12 Mini Club aimed at younger ages. Evening entertainment consisted of Mini Disco to Start with which my 8 year old loved, would have been nice if they changed the Disc though same old every night. Followed by Proffesional Act or Entertainment Team doing stuff (my daughter loved Sa Sar). Bingo but we made our own entertainment really chatting with all the lovely people we met there. Really Friendly place.

Drinks 'Yes' Plastic cups Lager fine, Spirts good and got the same as the paying guests so not watered down just ment getting up the bar more often I suppose but we got good value on them!! Slushes for the kids Icecream, Crisps on Bar (mostly stale) if not caught on the top up and Sandwiches at Five but you had to be quick really quick if you wanted one.

My other half got fed up with the evening meals and went across the road to the Vistasol it doesnt look much from the outside but the food was amazing also they had Sky Sports on so he managed to catch the Football games he wanted to watch. They also made us up Baguettes to take back to the Airport on our return really worth the 3 Euros saved us a fortune.

Sunbeds never a problem always loads stacked up by the pool anytime of the day. But if you can get the cream ones they are more comfortable. And best pitch for the sun all day was the bar side of the pool the appartment side was shaded.

All in all lovely Family Holiday, Relaxed and Chilled out. Thank you to all the staff at Ola Cecilia.

Me my wife our 3 children and there grandparents stayed at this hotel 16th aug 2012 for ten nights, on arrival eveything looked ok. we had ground floor apartments facing the pool, when we entered our room the smell of damp was terrible, there was paint flaking off the bedroom walls, the bathroom door had all the laminate stripped off and there were tiles hanging off in bathroom (see pics)
we were really dis heartenrd but thought we were here, and best make the best of a bad situation.
we went for dinner it was terrible, the hotel was trying to please every nationality there so there was limited choice of totaly different food, If you like raviolli with broccoli and fish you'll love it. theres no kids food section so mine ate chips and mayonaise all week.
there is a nice pub just outside gate though, that does nice food lol
Then theres the smell you keep getting of ra seage throughout the day(not very nice).

i think the hotel is built on an ant colony the place is alive with them(see pics) they were everywhere, the park area is infested, even all over our tooth brushes in the morning

when the kids went bed me and the wife were sitting on our balcony and when all the lights from the bar went out we heard a noise and there were rats everywhere all around the pool area, needless to say that was the end of that,
the pool itself at its shallowest point is 1.6m deep. no shallow end, there is a tiny baby pool.so if you or your kids cannot swim its useless

on a positive note the staff especially the kids entertainers were brilliant, cannot praise them enough( wasted on such a horrible hotel). the beach is very close and again cannot be faulted.

i think were an easy going family but this is the worst i've been too, we met some lovely people because we all had something to talk about ie the state of the hotel.

one last moan you are only allowed to get 2 drinks from the bar, so if you have kids you have to back and que agian, also the all inclusive bar shuts before the entertainments finished unless you want to pay 3 euros a pint.

Room Tip: don't stay in room 304 lol
