“Great family hotel, however food was disappointing”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

I want to start off by thanking everyone at this hotel! The staff are fantastic, I have never been to a place where the staff have treated us this way, they couldnt do enough for us.

Positive things -

Check in was quick and the young girl at reception was very nice and helpful. we were travelling with two children 10 and 7 and two adults originally we were given two twin rooms, but i didn't want to have to stay in a different room to my husband and son, so she upgrading our room, and gave us a suite with two rooms and two bathrooms it was perfect big enough for us four, and had the most amazing view of the beach and pool. the cleaning was excellent, she was an older lady but her cleaning standards were great!

Staff - As i mentioned the staff we're the best part of this entire holiday. We want to thank them all especially Antonio from the al a carte restaurant, and we don't know her name but a young girl who worked every where in this hotel, she worked so hard and was always smiling, i know she work while she studies and she lives in sevilla. But once again they we're all incredible.

Pool/beach - Enough sun loungers for every body, the grounds and beach we're well kept, very clean. the only thing is we went in april and the water at the pool was very cold so my kids only went in it two/three times, but we understand that's not the hotels fault.

Entertainment - They we're fantastic with the children, wide of activities for them to do. The evening entertainment was great, started off with bingo or something similar and the shows were very cultural, for example a flamenco dance.

Negative -

Food - We were their for a week and the food was very repetitive and constantly warm and sometimes even cold, was very disappointing. The quality of was very poor which was a real shame. We did visit the a la carte, which is a lot better than the buffet however it was still very average, and there was only 4 different dishes on offer, always the same. The best the food we had while we were there were the snack bar where they served hamburgers and chicken nuggets. Deserts we're always frozen, and not very much to chose from.

Other guest - there we're some natives at the hotel, around pensioners age, they would take up a lot of room, especially in front of the entertainment stage. They would play cards and dominos right in front of the stage. However we were told the reason why there were so many pensioners there was because the government have a scheme that helps those who are retired be able to go on holiday.

Overall great hotel, just a shame about the food.

Room Tip: We had floor 5, room 512, perfect room with the perfect view!

Stayed here may 2013, in a group of 4 adults and 3 kids. We booked with the hotel direct online. The hotel is in a perfect location, right on a stunning white sandy beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean, food varied and delicious! (Especially the fresh pizza) Kids pools are fab. Staff friendly and welcoming. Entertainment, not the best but definitely not the worst either, it kept the kids amused and the staff really gave it their all! Rooms- we had a double room with a sea view, perfectly ample for 2 adults and 1 Child but a little on the small side, If we stay again we will probably upgrade to 1 bedroom apartment. Rooms were also spotless, bathroom had a big walk in shower. The hotel is about - 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Alcudia, which was nice but preferred to be just outside it. All in all a great holiday, wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Me and my Nan booked this around 4 weeks before the holiday, the trip from the airport to the hotel took around 1 hour however it is all worth it. The staff are friendly, the beach is beautiful, the amimation team are fantastic. Always entertaining everybody from children to adults. The rooms are always clean, fresh shower towels every day, the cleaners are very polite also. I would say it's suitable for any group, families, friends, couples.

I would highly recommend this hotel, and I cannot wait for the next time I go as it was so amazing!

Room Tip: The best room is the pool view as you have the view of the beach also!

The hotel was modern and clean. The staff were always keen to help and friendly. The location is perfect, fall onto the beach area from the pool area. Long shallows so ideal for young ones to go paddling.
The food was varied and quite tasty, though I personally dont eat seafood my other half was in foody heaven with the choices available.
we were lucky enough to have an upgrade to a royal suite for 30 euro a day. Sounds expensive, but we were after privacy and this gave us just that..... along with sunloungers sunmattress and a jacuzzi, all overlooking beautiful blue sea.
people say this isnt a 4 star hotel, however we have travelled extensively and can happily say this does tick the boxes for the grade.
the onlyblet down for our stay had nothing to do with the hotel, it was other guests lack of consideration and bloodyminded ignorance... from flagrant queue jumping at the bars which was annoying, but also idiots having blazing domestics into the early hours.
All in all I would strongly recommend this place as a coiple or as afamily as the entertainment team never appeared to stop working with the kids.

Room Tip: Royal suite for privacy and touch of class.

Only a short step onto the beach and a simple walk to the Port of Alcudia makes the location of this hotel perfect. The rooms are spacious with enough storage space for a couple of weeks. Balcony overlooking the beach was splendid with daily sunrises and sunsets. Cleaners are around every morning to freshen up the rooms and provide new towels. The only problem with the rooms is the AC, not overly hot this time of year but room still stuffy so imagine temperatures approaching 40 in the summer, rooms would become unbearable. The cleanliness of the hotel was spot on and the service provided by the hotel was wonderful, lovely people working long hours and still prepared to do anything for you. But for me there was too many niggles stopping this hotel from being a great all inclusive hotel. I will list them as follows: no beach towels are provided; safe cost 60 euro deposit and then 3 euro a day; pool was so cold (not just me, it was virtually empty all week); no evening entertainment for adults; food same for lunch and dinner not many options for hot mains and breakfast started at 8am which seems late if you want to get out early.

Room Tip: More of a summer holiday destination then an easter holiday.

The trip from the airport to resort took over an hour and a half in the middle of the day too much for some luckily we were the third drop off the hotel is in a perfect position for the beach only a min walk from reception to the soft sand the beach is very safe with the water crystal clear and very shallow. The hotel is spotless with many excellent facilities pool bar large projection screen tv which they show sporting events on shop inside the hotel with reasonably priced items shampoo sarongs pegs all sorts. The food could be better soups not very good desserts jelly and tinned pears in a four star hotel only minor niggles. High pressure shower large bath towels . No pool towels provided and charges for safety deposit box not really what all inclusive is all about. Very nice area the port area is lovely with lots of boats and big cruisers to look at and nice boutique shops mango etc and lovely shoe shops. The old town is just a short bus trip away the bus stop is at the end of the road . We went on the public bus to Palma which was a nice day out with all the shops you can think of this is also where the airport is situated . We had nice weather early twenties degrees no one much of the biggest beach ever a really nice quite resort for a thoroughly relaxing holiday .

We booked this fairly late, 6 weeks or so before departure. Looked great in terms of photos and reviews. It did not let us down.

Recently renovated. The maid comes every day. Really clean and modern public areas and restraunt. The food is not out of this world (we overheard a few people whinging at the hotel) but for what you are paying it is excellent. Happy Burger does chicken nuggets, hot dogs, chips and burgers from 11 to 5. The main restraunt has a good range and loads of healthy options. Salad and pasta bar etc. Our son was given a lolly by the staff at every meal. The staff really went out of their way in terms of how friendly they were, even when clearing your plates at dinner.

The splash park is brilliant for kids and away from the adults pool. It also had 3 larger slides which our son loved. It also has a kids club where they can make things and colour in etc. Its location is perfect, on the beach. The sea is really shallow for 100m or so out to sea so its really safe for children. If you want to go into the port of alcudia its 7 euros in a taxi and there are loads of shops etc there.

Would recommend it to anyone. Only negatives are the rooms dont have loads of storage space and i guess it can get really busy in summer as the bar area was rammed in april on a night. But cracking holiday and we will go back.

Room Tip: Pay 70 euros when you get there to upgrade to a sea view room. Well worth it as it is right on the b...
