“3* what you pay for. friendly staff good location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2013

we have stayed in this hotel at least 28 times over the last 23 years. we try to go twice a year. yes the lifts are small, but we have never had problems. the food has improved over the years and there is something for everyone. the staff are very very friendly and helpful in the reception, restaurant, bar and the cleaners. if there is something you want, ask. the area is flat not too far from the beach and the port. we will be going back for many many years. remember when booking it is a 3* not a 4*.

Room Tip: if 2 passengers you can request a sea view. if one person rooms always tend to be on back. this ho...

Just returned from hoilday at the Condes & after reading reviews before we went we nearly didn,t go but we thought for the money we paid it was very good ,yes room was basis but clean the cleaners & all the staff we met were all very nice.Food could have been better but we could always find something we liked.Hotel couldn,t be in better location, but wouldn,t wont stay there in summer must be abit hectic. If you don,t like karaoke or a quize don,t go to entertainment because that all you get.hotel did close the day we lelt we no one seemed to know until a couple of days before .But a good hotel which after all is only three stars ,which we thought was good you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Email you could get want you ask for we did but then we mind have been lucky

Spent a week all inclusive in this apology for a hotel at the end of September. When we arrived we were told that they closed on Tues 1st Oct (the last day of our stay. I wish it had been the 24th Sept (the first day of our stay).
The room was advertised as single for 2/3 persons. There was barely room for the 2 single beds, yet alone 3, perhaps the 3rd bed would have been on the balcony. The room had a spectacular view of the road running past the hotel. (we later changed rooms to one with a sea view). Room was clean but badly in need of updating - perhaps to the 1970's.
We were informed that there was no bar in the hotel, only the pool bar, which had a peculiar arrangement whereby half-board patrons used one half and all-inclusive the other half. All drinks were served from a machine and were in small plastic beakers
Reception staff varied from quite helpful to dis-interested. Food though was excellent and service in the buffet was good. The lifts were so small that 2 persons with suitcases filled them and they were very slow in operation.
The entertainment in the evenings was mediocre at best and did not exist at all for the last 2 nights. Our pick-up time for returning home was at 7-00am and we were told that an early breakfast would of course be available. This consisted of bread for toast and coffee or tea.
All in all, not a very pleasant experience. I would not rate this hotel any higher than 1 star

I had read the reviews of other single travellers but somehow whenever I travel and read reviews I always seem to get the mentioned room. I had requested a fourth floor pool facing room with bath - haha Mine was 109 it could have been 101 as it was right at the end of the corridor and its one consolation was I didn't have to use the smallest lifts I have ever seen. It was quite comical when new guests where waiting for the lift to arrive, the doors opened and the "OH!" exclamation came out. I heard various combinations of how couples got to their accommodation with their luggage but I digress. I did have a three quarter bed rather than just a single, I opened the door to the balcony and was greeted by the sight of a flat roof with a huge extractor fan hood on so I was able to play guess the next meal whenever I wanted to cool off on the balcony as it appeared to belong to the kitchens .At various times in the day and night there was a large fan that started up not sure what it was for but with that and the kitchen extractor the room wasn't particularly quiet The shower was true to its word, whenever you turned round in it the shower curtain stuck to various parts of the anatomy and it was more of a wet room on completion , it did have a small window in it which I tried opening and found it didn't have anything to stop it falling right open unless you rested it on the shower head. The bed tilted from foot to head and was quite old though the bedding was changed daily along with the towels. the hotel façade was lovely as was the entrance and although the pool was small it was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds, it is very central especially for the beach. The food was varied, the staff were trying to be very English which was a shame, the entertainment - well they wouldn't have got through x factor. The hotel was about to close so perhaps that's why the staff were very curt as they were obviously worried about finding work. I did pay the 18 euros for internet in my room but found it easier to log on to next door hotels open wifi. I did request a transfer to a room with a bath on two occasions but was always told perhaps tomorrow, it appears that couples who complained on the day of their arrival were moved straight away which was a bit of a disappointment. As usual I pay a supplement as a single traveller but seem to get the worst accommodation which is disappointing.

Just returned from the Condes, and yet again happy, yes its rooms might be basic, and a little tired, but the food is good, location is great, have been several times before, the staff are helpful, this hotel offers very good value for the cheaper end of the market. One thing that has improved is helping yourself to drinks,no more queing.

I too was a bit apprehensive when arriving at the hotel after reading the reviews however I kind of knew what to expect therefore i wasn't disappointed. On arrival we were given a room on the 2nd floor and the view was basically that of the nearby spar and some roof tops. I however went to reception asked for a room on a higher level which they organised for us and it was fantastic. A lovely view of the bay. It was a large room with a large bathroom. Clean and the towels we're regularly changed. The maids were brilliant. The food was excellent with lots of choice at each meal time and all the staff absolutely brilliant. The pool was good too. Not massive but only saw a few people actually using it. The lifts are a bit small yes but we managed no probem with a two year in a buggy fully equipped with all the beach paraphernalia! Self service bar not Bad too either. All in all a great holiday and thanks to all at the Hi Condes!

Have just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel. We were half board and once again the hotel pulled out all stops for us. The staff were all friendly, the food was always hot and plentiful, boring some days but as we ate out at lunchtimes were not to bothered. Our room this time was on the fifth floor looking out to the old town. Lovely during the day and beautiful at night when all lit up. The room was smaller than last time, but very clean and the bathroom ok. This hotel is in a great location for the beach, the old town a short distance away and the marina. If we go back to this part of Mallorca would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: poolside rooms are bigger but noisier.
