“Great hotel, great stuff :D really enjoyable stay!”
Reviewed 21 September 2011

Just returned from staying in this hotel with my partner and my parents. Definately enjoyed my time at the hotel, and in a ideal quiet location away from the lively main road which is a simple 5 mins walk. 2 pools, the hotel one is popular with drinks only bar and entertainment throughout the day. The island pool is quieter for those who like to relax and read and have the bonus of self serving drinks and food which consists of ham, cheese, salad, bread rolls and also hot food of burger, chips etc. Plenty of food choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner, you may see some same food chips burgers etc but the mains are different everyday and the desserts are plentiful. Entertainment guys from Slovakia great! Entertainment are different every day with children stuff follow by bingo and main entertainment. Reception staff are very helpful and assist you with any information whatever you need. I will definitely back there again :D :D ;D

Stayed here for 10 nights end of august, food ok best if you get in at beginning of meal times. Fish always full of bones. My husband had poorly tummy few days when we were there but the only thing he had different to rest of us were the mussels . Night time entertainment ok with parrot show being shown twice karaoke and reps putting on 2 shows. Entertainment was outside under canopy and every other table had a smoker, and they didn't care if you liked it or not, which we didn't, but that's ignorant Brits for you. Found ourselves sitting inside sometimes as smoke was really bad and stunk. Very clean hotel , but there is an ant problem also fly problem with dining room staff trying to keep them away from food. Island is nice and relaxing, unless you were getting bitten by ants again! Main town 5 minute walk . English speaking staff on reception . Overall nice hotel.

Visited this hotel recently, we went on the 3rd-10th September. We were in a group of 4, me & my boyfriend, and his mum & dad. The cleanliness of the hotel was particularly good, as was the service provided. We arrived very early in the morning - around 5am, so after our flights and travelling we were exhausted. We were greeted by the receptionist who was very helpful, he told us the check in time for a room would be 2pm, however he managed to swap our rooms over, a process that took half an hour max.

Rooms
- Basic but very clean, what more do you expect for a 3 star hotel!
- Air con was fine
- Bathroom was clean, hot water and towels changed daily
- Beds: we had two twin beds that were pushed together, but it was okay for us
- Television could pick up English channels
- Balcony: not a brilliant view, but lets face it I wasn't too bothered about the view!
- Ants. A lot of people have mentioned ants. We didn't have them in our room but Mum & Dad did (though this was mainly because there were sugary sweets left on the side). The maid put some stuff down to kill them straightaway, and they were all gone by the time we returned that evening.

Food
- You will hear many complaints about there being chips, burgers and sausages all the time, which there is. To be honest though, there is enough choice. No-one is forcing you to choose chips and burgers everyday!
- The food was reasonable, some days better than others but I don't really have any complaints, with a good variety you have the option to get something different if you dont like a dish
- Dessert: I didn't have dessert, but there was plenty of fresh fruit available, ice-cream and cakes ect available
- I have read some reviews about the maids being particularly quick at taking your plates (i didn't really notice this, and i'm sure that sounds better than leaving dirty dishes all over the table anyway!

Entertainment
- Kids disco & bingo were daily events. I love Bingo so all good for me!
- There was a variety of different shows each night, e.g. parrot shows & a magician (it was cheesy, but it was fun!)
- Our hotel seemed to be the most fun around, you could hear our entertainment walking into town! Most other hotels we walked past were quiet (boring!)

Drinks
- The bar is open until 1am, however after midnight you have to start paying for your drinks.. Most hotels we looked at stopped serving all inclusive drinks at 11pm!
- A good selection of drinks were available, and the spirit measures were brilliant! Much better than England!
- A selection of fruit juices and soft drinks are available for those that don't drink.

The beach is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. There is a shuttle bus available but really, you dont need it (i'm lazy and i managed the walk!) Sunbeds were €4.50 on the beach, and there were plenty available.

Overall the hotel was a lovely place to stay in - there is a little Island just over the road for snacks which also has some sunbeds and a seperate pool away from the main hotel (it's more peaceful). Also if you want to explore the town, its about a 10 minute walk - there are lots of bars and shops for souvenirs!

Strongly recommended.

Returned home from the Lagomonte 3 days ago. Travelled with my husband and our 2yr old daughter and we had a great time. Food wasnt great, but there was always something for eveyone and we never went hungry. Entertainment was very entertaining. Never had any trouble getting a sunbed. They didnt unlock them until 9am each day which we found to be good, as it meant we didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn to get one, which is usually what happens when we go away.
Was situated in an excellent location, about 10min walk from all the shops, restaraunts etc. There is a free bus to the beach, but we just walked. Took about 20mins-half hour. Only walked because we didnt fancy unloading everything off the buggy then loading it up again on and off the bus! Quite enjoyed the walk though.
The rooms were very basic but very clean. Ours was cleaned everyday, with fresh towels whenever we wanted them (just leave the dirty ones in the bath).
Our room was at the back on level one, and we had a lovely big balcony, bigger than the ones on the higher floors! Could of done with a table out there though, only had 2 chairs.
The ONLY fault I can pick is that the walls are paper thin. We were woken on the 1st night by what sounded like 2 men talking in our room! This frightened my daughter somewhat.
We will definatly be returning one day. We paid a decent price and definatly got what we paid for.

Room Tip: We had a back facing room. Better if you have children that sleep before midnight as the pool facing...

Just returned from staying in this hotel with my partner. Definately enjoyed my time at the hotel, and in a ideal quiet location away from the lively main road which is a simple 5 mins walk.

2 pools, the hotel one is popular with drinks only bar and entertainment throughout the day, though the sunbeds are hogged by people who gets up early just to lay their towels before breakfast and secure their "area" which i always have a chuckle seeing them queing up on way to breakfast. The island pool is quieter for those who like to relax and read and have the bonus of self serving drinks and food which consists of ham, cheese, salad, bread rolls and also hot food of burger, chips etc.

Plenty of food choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner, you may see some same food chips burgers etc but the mains are different everyday and the desserts are plentiful. you may see one or two flies but never saw them on the food. Best times to eat are as soon it opens if you wish to eat in peace. Maids are like a hawk, they prey on your plates as soon they see it empty but they do a fantastic job.

Entertainment are different every day with children stuff follow by bingo and main entertainment. Beach is only 15 mins walk and definately worth visiting as its fantastic beach and shallow clear warm waters.

Overall a great hotel, maybe one or two ants in room and a pong of sewerage at night but does not last long. Reception staff are very helpful and assist you with any information whatever you need. We were able to request extra pillows and even a room to shower before heading to airport as late flight and had to check out at 12.

Room Tip: Quieter at the back of hotel with sun down to enable your swimwear and towels to dry in evening. Lat...
