“Lovely break”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

My husband & I have just returned from 1 week at the lagomonte. We arrived at 1.30am and were swiftly booked in by the night staff.
Our room was on the 5th floor at the rear of the hotel so it meant no balcony which was a little disappointing. The room itself is quite large with plenty of storage space large bed and bathroom.
I thought that the tv didn't work however we found out at reception that it only works with a remote control which requires a €5 deposit.
Wifi is not free and it will cost €20 for the week, this will only work on 1 device so it might be something to bear in mind if your taking teenagers.
What is lacking - no hair dryer or tea / coffee facilities in the room.
The hotel has lots of staff who work very hard to keep the areas clean and the restaurant moving swiftly, as we weren't given any kind of info at check in (apart from the room key wallett which has dining times) we only noticed the little island pool across the road on day 2!!!!
This was our saviour for the peace and quiet, a little bridge across the lake takes you to a little island, where you will find the second pool, snack bar and lots of sun loungers this is also away from the music and as no inflatables are allowed is generally better for adults.
Although we were all inclusive we did eat out quite a bit whilst exploring the island. You wont be short of choices if you take a right when leaving the hotel you are a short stroll to lunas bar which has live outside music / acts in the evening and the most amazing lamb kebabs. Pass by lunas and you will pass literally hundreds of shops all the way to the beach. You do get pestered alot by men selling sunglasses and women offering hair braiding but if you politely say your not interested that does the trick.
Take a left when you leave the hotel and you can walk up to the port of alcudia which is amazing and the route we preferred. Tuesdays and sundays are the market days at the harbour and i would highly recommend a visit.
All in all we had a great holiday & will return to Alcudia again

I'd read some pretty bad reviews for this hotel but eventually decided to just bite the bullet, mainly because I'd been to Alcudia before and also because the flights I could get were fab! Have to say I was pleasantly surprised, hotel was very clean, rooms were basic but fine for the price I paid. Food was basic but again fine, we did eat out a few times though. Don't expect the Ritz, expect what you pay for and you shouldn't be disappointed :)

Room Tip: Try to get one facing the pool, I had a sneak peek at one and it was much nicer than ours which face...

Just returned from a week at Bellvue Lagamonte , Alcudia. As a family of four ( children aged 12 & 9)we had a fantastic time! Hotel is spotless, entertainment staff great with boundless energy. Room was fine with a lovely pool view from the balcony. The two pools meant that you could be busy or go over the island bridge to the more quiet pool. On arrival, found that we had left one set of case lock keys at home, someone was with us within minutes to remove it for us. Staff are friendly. The resort is beautiful, as is the beach. We also went to the old town market. Jolly Roger pub, just on the cornor has a fab little free parrot show on Tuesdays, worth a look in. Went to Katmandu, Magaluf on a trip as it also had a little water park within so killed 2 birds with one stone. Cost 125€ and long journey but was fun :-) Food was fine , lots of choice, did get a bit monotonous to the end though. All in all, a great holiday, value for money and would definitely go back! Missing it already. Well worth a visit :-)

I booked to take my children here on the advice of a travel company. We arrived at approximately midnight only to be told the hotel was over booked and we were moved to another hotel in the town centre. When we came back the next day I was told our room would not be ready until mid afternoon. Therefore we could not unpack or use the pool. The room we were eventually given overlooked the carpark and the air conditioning did not work. The hotel was not close to the town and the snacks etc were across the road on an island. Dozens of families were being moved due to overbooking. Everyone I spoke to had spent at least one night of their holiday in another hotel. We were given free wifi by way of compensation which did not work. One family were also complining they had had things taken form the luggage room. Staff were rude (except one lady) and not very helpful. Food extremely basic. We moved to another hotel. Awful experience.

Room Tip: Paid wifi did not work

Needed a quick weeks break at short notice. With it not being our main family holiday it had to be cheap. Booked hotel independently, flights direct with Easy Jet and hired a car at the airport - this was all done £ 300 overall cheaper (3 Adults and 1 Child in 2 rooms) than booking with Thomas Cook/Jet2 and taking the transfer coach. It needs to be noted we flew home in the middle of the seventh night so in order to make the holiday cheaper we only took 6 nights at the hotel but as we left at 9pm for the return flight managed a whole 7th day of the hospitality and having a car meant we went back to the airport at our own pace. Hotel from the outside reminded me of one of the original package deal hotels from the sixties you see in documentaries about how the concept took off. The place is well kept and tidy and apart from one women on reception who looked like she had chewed a wasp earlier in the day the staff were pretty much on the ball. Not sure why we had the choice of Standard Rooms or Standard Room with Terrace/Balcony as unless they were hidden around the back I never noticed a room without a balcony. Check in was swift despite us arriving at the same time as a coach load. We were on the fourth floor and it has to be noted the hotel has the slowest smallest lifts I have ever encountered and other than taking the luggage up and down to our room we took to the stairs. Which is ok if you are fit, if not and you are on floor 4 or 5 then I think you have to be aware you could be stuck waiting for the lifts for time and when it comes you won't get in unless you are at the front. Rooms are functional, we looked out on to the pool, fortunately had a decent TV ( Euro 5 at reception to rent a remote), Price for safe was a but OTT. Rooms are cleaned daily and generally it was satisfactory, however the beds were not comfortable so after the initial night of tiredness combined with drink which knocked us out the remaining days we were up with the lark despite going to bed in the early hours. Strange smell on the corridor, at one point I thought someone was smoking something illegal in their room but it was a one off - maybe they got caught and warned. Bars are busy but barmen efficient. Entertainment team try hard with few resources and its hard to get excited by table tennis seemingly every day. First night we had a Beatles Cover band who were excellent, second night the hotel show performed by the entertainment team was a little lacklustre and disorganized despite the enthusiasm of the team, There was a karoke night which was shocking as if you were at the back you could not hear anything (thankfully) - A professional rock show which was average and a men v women game show with rather like the hotel show seemed to be ad hoc. Not many people seemed to get drunk which is good, I noted people bringing cans into the show area from the supermarket as the lager/beer was rather acidic (general consensus) and dependant on which bar person was serving the shots varied in strength. There did not appear to be any security so some of the younger adults were often jumping in the pool at 1.30am noisily but it lasted about 10 minutes as they came back in from local bars. Close to the hotel are some decent bars with music if you want a break but the Eurozone prices are more than buying a pint in the UK. Locally a good guinness as an example was 4.50 Euro, where as you could get an awful one for 3.90 Euro. The pool is far to small and the water polo is just crazy with no room to move and lacks fund as it is played across the width of the pool to allow poeple to swim. I also thought the gradient from the shallow to the deep end was harsh and once in the pool you could not observe the depth as it was on the path at the top. The lifeguard was a bit over zealous occaisonally but I think he was just bored so he appeared to single out some of the older kids who were jumping in but not bother with the younger ones. It was is he was tackling the ones who would listen. The food was lets say uninspiring and probably put the final nail in the coffin for me on All Inclusive. I can't even describe it - it was just dull and we ended up eating out 3 Evenings and 2 lunchtimes as I could not face having to walk around insipid dishes day after day. Our son who is a fussy eater on the 3 Evenings and 5 Lunches had burger and chips each day both mealtimes. But there are lots of restaurants local. I guess the money we saved on the package was spent in the restaurants. I was amazed in general how many restaurants were brimming with people with AI bands on every night. Other bits, there are no pool towls, we could not find any changing/show facilities before we left and the on site shop is horrendously over priced. One last thing I email the hotel a week prior to departure to check the booking was confirmed, ask about pool towels and car parking - the responded on the day we left. Overall I am quite happy with what we got.

Stayed here very recently, overall ive stated it was very good. A few points i need to make though! The rooms are really out of date and need a good revamp, I dont agree with some rooms having brand new LCD Sony TVs and others having old fashioned broken TVs and having to rent the remote!? The entertainment needed a mix up-same thing everynight for the kids and a less than average entertainment shows for the adults when just down the road at the Bellevue Club (same company) they had far better entertainment and more choice. The walls are paper thin and there are far too many people wedged into this hotel! Food was ok but needs more variety as everynights selection was mainly pasta and fish. The pool was overrun with children which is fine but they need to expand or add another pool to cater for everyone! There is another pool at the island but this was so small and just as busy as the other one. The staff we met on our ten days here never seemed to smile get rushed around and ordered about at the restauraunt which alot of people seemed to be worked up about. Its hard to believe we actually had a good break at this hotel but if im honest we spent most of the days away on trips and most of the nights we had no choice but to go out as there wasnt anything on offer for us. I would reccommend paying for half board or self catering than what we paid for Bellevue Lagamonte. The food availability times are great and the bar closes at 12am and they are probably the best bits.
