Totally agree with the review from 'Merseyside Pippa', lovely hotel, excellent staff and service, lovely location but lacked in a few areas. The professional acts were ok , Four Tops excellent but the show bar had no air conditioning and was uncomfortable to sit in :-( The air conditioning throughout the hotel was not very good. We understand there needs to be a smoking area but it was directly outside the bar area and the show bar. To sit in the non smoking area you had to walk through all the smokers and sit around the corner away from the main area.
Overall a lovely break, lots of guests seemed to return every year but we won't be.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and had a sea view , one of the better rooms with a view.

We stayed at this hotel in the last week of June 2013 after a weeks cruise on the Thomson Dream.
The hotel was very clean with clean towels each day. Air conditioning could be a little cool during the night but apart from that
We had a great time and would stay there again. The meals whilst not to the standard served on the ship where all very good
With lots to choose from. We enjoyed the wine with our meals. The pool area was great with plenty of sun beds. The entertainment was very good, we liked the Beatles the best and Well done to the entertainment team. All of the bar staff worked hard to keep the queue for drinks to a minimum and all the time being happy and cheerful. We will return to this hotel
Again.

You would be scraping the barrel to find a fault with this hotel. Very helpful staff, excellent food, quick and efficient bar service and overall nice drinks. Can't understand why people have given negative reviews about poor TV or no tea and coffee, who cares about these on a sunny holiday. Very very good hotel.

Just returned from a week here with my husband, first time we have done an all inclusive holiday. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, bar staff are also friendly and very efficient, food was very good on the whole, rooms are a decent size and cleaned daily with fresh towels every day too. I had never fancied all inclusive before but can see the attraction, it's great just asking for a drink when you want and not having to find money - however there is only San Miguel on draft (bit watered down) and the cocktails are all pre prepared so tend to taste the same. The local vodka is OK though and you do get the usual generous Spanish helping! You can help yourself from the fridge at mealtimes to either bottled San Miguel or bottles of wine. The only snacks in the day seemed to be cheese and ham sandwiches, there was cake available between 4 and 5 in the afternoon too. I notice a lot of people think the entertainment team James and Maria are great but they weren't our thing, we preferred the nights with the professional acts that didn't involve James and Maria - it's a pity there aren't more of these. I like to see what's around the area too so we went out a few nights - recommend Posh Paddy's and Smith's bar which are close to the hotel and have live music most nights, we also found a bar on the beach playing music. In the opposite direction and approx. a 20 minute walk away there is also an area with lots of bars, we only went there once though, not as nice an area as around the hotel, and if you've chosen this hotel because there are no children and you want somewhere quieter and more civilised, then don't bother going to that area - also the brochure states that Alcudia is 20 minutes away but I think that must mean the area of Alcudia I've just mentioned; the port and old town (worth a visit) are a much longer walk or a 1.50 euro bus ride away.
All in all we had a good holiday and don't have any real complaints about the hotel, it's just not somewhere I'd choose to go back to as many people seem to do.

Just got back from a lovely holiday here and have already recommended it to friends and family.
Checkin and check out was very fast and easy
Rooms were comfortable with good air con. However they are abit dated and need a revamp.
Pool was good, abit cool but plenty of space, enough sunbeds for everyone but the good ones around the pool went by 8:10!
Thomson staff were fab, Maria especially, with great banter and always happy to help.
Dinner staff, cleaners and serving staff all had a smile and were fast and efficient.
Front desk staff were fair, but a little slow and indecisive.
I totally agree with every other review in that the beach was amazing, so close and the best I have ever seen, with clear waters and a beautiful coast.
Food was great and varied as was the choice of drinks.
Disagree with some about the age range here, we are in our late 20s as were about 15% of guests. some were older but average age about 30-40ish, not that that made a difference!
Sunbeds cost 9 euros for 2 for the day at the beach, we spent a few days at this beautiful location.
Overall a great holiday and we will go back.

This was our fourth time coming to this hotel in six years.

The hotel has not changed in a lot
of ways. The only major change for us was the new entertainment team - James and Maria, who were fantastic. They organised daily activities which we took part in for the first time since going to the hotel. They had an excellent commoradary with each other and organised great cabaret for each night including themselves! They are definitely the best entertainers that we have experienced at the hotel. My husband is not the most confident person and he felt so relaxed around them that he took part in many of the daytime activities and even won a certificate for Man of the Match in water polo! (His being 6ft 7 helped ;-) ) They didn't invade guests space and allowed people to get as involved as they wanted to. There are daily quizzes to keep your mind ticking over and an evening quiz before the cabaret where there is a prize for the winning team.

The rooms are still adequate and the beds still firm but comfortable! We paid around €2 per day for the safe and the television had three channels - BBC 2, ITV and BBC World News. The maid service was still excellent with beds
made daily and fresh towels left.

The food was definitely better this time and there was more choice. Breakfast was the same as other years with the continental and cooked breakfast options but it was still delicious. Lunch and dinner had more variety and the show cooking was always good. There was always fish on offer. There was a variety of more local dishes which were usually salad based and then there was more British dishes like steak pie, fish and chips and mash etc for those people who like to stick to what they know. The only minor disappointment was the desserts which were not very varied and seemed to revolve around jelly, mousse and ice cream which I was a little disappointed by as I love my desserts! The desserts at dinner were a little better than lunch however and there was often different cakes and crumble on offer but overall they could of been better. The waitresses are still miserable and talk about the guests in Spanish when they walk into the restaurant which can be a little uncomfortable. This has never changed in the four years we have been. The restaurant manager however is wonderful and very polite and attentive.

The bar staff are amazing and extremely efficient! They are always smiling and deserve every tip they receive!

We had no issues at all with the check in or our room and spent most of our time lazing by the pool. We did notice the usual behaviour with sunbeds but usually managed to get one even after we had been and had breakfast around 9:00. We do not like to sit in the full glare of the sun so never really had any problems moving sunbeds into the shade. There have been some negative remarks made about apparent noise from the road beside the pool but I can honestly say this never bothered us at all. Yes, there is a road, but its not the M1 and it is certainly not distracting! I managed to read two books just sitting the pool. The pool water is also not "freezing" as some reviewers have said. Yes, it's cold, but why would you want to go from very hot weather into a warm pool? We found the pool very refreshing after being in the sun or walking to the local shops.

Overall we had the best time out of the four years we have been
and would definitely recommend the hotel.
