just returned after 14 nights ,the hotel is situated very close to the beach which takes 2 minutes to get to , the hotel it self is kept very clean and the staff are some of the best ive ever met in a hotel hard working and very friendly especially the bar staff who kept queues to a minimum even at the busiest times and always laughing and joking , the rooms were basic but the beds weren't the comfiest ive ever slept in , the dining room was of a very good size serving a good selection of food and show food but got a bit repetitive after a week as its the same menu the 2nd week , the pool area is of a good size with plenty of sun beds for everyone round the pool or in the garden area the only problem was it says not to take glasses round the pool area and lots of people did which was very ignorant as some were getting broke which is dangerous when people are walking round barefooted but the majority did use the plastic cups provided, and the water hydrant has a sign on asking not to refill bottles up for hygiene reasons and people ignoring it ,( there is a supermarket across from the hotel selling bottles for 30 pence(33 cents) and you have a fridge in the room to keep it cold) , it is adult only and if children acted like this they would probably get moaned at for doing this , all I all though I would return to this hotel .

We have just spent 10 days at this hotel. I will start by giving you areas in which it could improve. If you like to watch tv when your away forget it the tv is an old small portable and you only get 3 channels at best. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms so if you like an early morning bru you’ll have to go to the restaurant were the coffee is terrible or wait until 10 when the bar opens. The beds are firm, and no that’s not a new youth saying meaning they are good I mean they are firm bordering on solid, the pillows are pretty much useless and again are firm. The air conditioning is hit and miss with many saying theirs didn’t work, we set ours on number cool number 3 at 15 degrees. A top tip for you here take a Necter card or something like it when the maid has cleaned your room put the card in place of your room card in the card slot, this gives you electric all day long so you can charge all you stuff up but means you can keep the air con on all day while you’re out. Oh one more heads up here your air con only works when your patio doors are shut and when you’re out keep your curtains closed it helps to keep your room cool. You do get a small fridge in your room and a safe which will cost you 1.80 euros a day.
The air con in the “entertainment” area doesn’t work well at all so it gets hot and uncomfortable. The only snacks available are a sandwich from behind the bar which you may not want between meals. There is a supermarket around the corner but when you have gone all inclusive you shouldn’t have to be buying anything. There are no bottles of water to take with you if you’re going out or to your room. When going on tours organised by Thompson you don’t get a picnic or even a bottle of water to take with you, considering the price of the tours plus you have gone all inclusive this is not good, in fact it should not be happening. Talking about tours ask them if the tour as taken place recently has one that we booked was cancelled we later found out it regularly gets cancelled due to lack of numbers. The only tour we went on was the Orange blossom tour, be prepared to spend a lot of time on the couch and not reals stop to see much other than the monastery. The orange trees weren’t in bloom so I saw no blossoms or oranges ha ha for 65 euros each a bit of a disappointment.
The Thompson reps are ok but don’t go out of their way and aren’t there 24/7 so if you arrive or depart outside their times you’re on your own, were as some people do like the reassurance of having someone there to guide them. Oh and before I forget if your leaving early your promised a continental breakfast ha ha ha toast and tea they mean, not wanting to be Victer Meldew but you have technically paid for a full breakfast that morning, this needs to be addressed.
One thing that should be addressed is that because it is an all-inclusive hotel you don’t get wrist band which at first sounds great but this is open to abuse with people coming in who aren’t staying there. On the first day there was a theft from a bag at the poolside ( he was caught) but we also had local’s coming in having meals and drinks and using the facilities that we have paid for, when this was reported to the reps nothing was done about it!
Now the good points, Check in is super fast. Food is fine it’s not 5 star but you are on a budget. You will always find something to eat either hot or cold and they have a good selection of deserts. You can get bottled beer or wine by the glass or bottle from the fridge in the restaurant during your meals but you can’t take these from the restaurant area. The hotel is always spotless, your rooms are cleaned daily with clean towels every day if you want them. The rooms on the beach side are quieter, on the opposite side there is a busy road which you also get at the poolside but it soon becomes background noise and you forget about it. The pool is kept clean but the trees around it could do with a good prune.
The entertainment is old fashioned holiday camp stuff with games and quizzes in the morning/afternoon a quiz at night followed by the professional tribute act when they turn up.
The staff are all very pleasant and will help you in any way they can, I went to these more than the reps!. The bar staff are very quick and friendly, you can have any drink you can think of but do remember it is locally produced stuff, having said that you get plenty of it. It is an all adult hotel so no children running around, this also means depending on the time of year you go you’ll get different age groups, high summer is a mix of young and old out of season tends to be the older end.
When going out and about forget about the taxis during the day time it’s only 1.50 euro to go anywhere in the area. (I would recommend getting a taxi at night time to be safe) The area around the hotel is clean and tidy the beach is just 2 minutes away and the sea is warm. The Old town is really nice with a market on certain days, if you go to the market and intend to buy anything make sure you haggle like crazy and if you don’t get the price you want walk away they will run after you and give you your price, having said that they are not over pushy and know when to leave you alone.
The port is well worth a visit with loads of shops and bars and a sea front market. It seems to be a n all British hotel, with just a few locals coming on their bank holidays. There are plenty of sun loungers and everyone will get one at some point in the day. So no need to run down early in the morning, but if you do you only need to get down at 7.50 as you can’t go through until 8 anyway.
Overall a nice hotel with room for improvement, I personally wouldn’t go a second time but we are all different aren’t we?

For the price an excellent value hotel. There was nothing however that gave me or my wife any sort of feeling of having that elusive "special holiday" feeling (we all know when that happens).
The food was ok, the bar was ok, the room was ok and the entertainment was ok.
We spent two weeks there and after a couple of days it was very much Groundhog day with same people doing same things, sitting in same seats, using same sunbeds and drinking same drinks. I am not criticising this -it is fine for the people who like routine and familiarity but for us we got quite bored and knew that for us an all inclusive was a mistake - or at least with this hotel.
The pool area was very nice and even when hotel was full there was always a sunbed to be had somewhere. The rooms were clean and adequate and the shower was powerful and hot water was always available. The dining room was run with military efficiency although that made for a feeling of not wanting to linger over your meal as plates were whipped away when the last mouthful of food was swallowed. Also some fellow guests were allowed into the Dining room on an evening with what I felt was clothing more suitable for the beach. The bar area can get very busy but from 10:45am to 11:45pm it was open and manned to serve all the guest their favourite tipples through the day. Early evening if you as we did dress for dinner be aware that most of the bar seats are wet from people coming straight from the pool and sitting in wet swimming gear on the seats.
I have to say although everyone seemed to drink a lot (and I mean a lot) there was no drunken or inappropriate behaviour. The entertainment team of Maria and James was ok and daily quizzes and poolside games for those who wanted them kept things ticking over. Most of the evening acts were not bad and filled in a few hours until the last 45 mins of bar opening.
On the whole a nice couple of weeks away but probably wont do again..
Oh by the way there were all sorts of ages and shapes and sizes there so don't worry if you are conscious about your body shape in swimwear..no one bats an eyelid choose how you look

Room Tip: High up overlooking the sea if you like peace but no afternoon sun

Totally agree with the review from 'Merseyside Pippa', lovely hotel, excellent staff and service, lovely location but lacked in a few areas. The professional acts were ok , Four Tops excellent but the show bar had no air conditioning and was uncomfortable to sit in :-( The air conditioning throughout the hotel was not very good. We understand there needs to be a smoking area but it was directly outside the bar area and the show bar. To sit in the non smoking area you had to walk through all the smokers and sit around the corner away from the main area.
Overall a lovely break, lots of guests seemed to return every year but we won't be.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and had a sea view , one of the better rooms with a view.

We stayed at this hotel in the last week of June 2013 after a weeks cruise on the Thomson Dream.
The hotel was very clean with clean towels each day. Air conditioning could be a little cool during the night but apart from that
We had a great time and would stay there again. The meals whilst not to the standard served on the ship where all very good
With lots to choose from. We enjoyed the wine with our meals. The pool area was great with plenty of sun beds. The entertainment was very good, we liked the Beatles the best and Well done to the entertainment team. All of the bar staff worked hard to keep the queue for drinks to a minimum and all the time being happy and cheerful. We will return to this hotel
Again.
