We spent one week in a two room suite in this great hotel. The hotel is close to both the beach and the harbour with the restaurants . The view is great, and due to the location on the pier you also get a great view og the sunset. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Parking space for rental car outside the hotel entrance. Nice pool area, we never had any problem getting a sunbed. Easy access to suite with pram, but make sure to inform hotel you will arive with one. We recommend the pool / sea front suites.

Ok charterhotel. Nice pool but too few sun chairs. Boring food. The room was nice. Irritating wifi that seldom works; it would have been better to pay for something that actually works. Stupid towel policy for a hotel that you pay as much as you do for this one. Alcudia beach was nice, but few good restaurant and the water is fresher further from the bay. Better to eat in the old town, where there are some really nice restaurants and very senic. All in all an ok stay but we will not come back to Puerto Alcudia.

Beautiful location with great pool. Suites are spacious, but dark. Bathrooms with old tiles and shower. Bad pillows. Anchors and navy blue is the theme for the whole resort. Efficient staff, but not particularily friendly. Mostly German and Scandinavian guests. Buffet breakfast okey, but not great. Buffet dinner looked uninspired. Much better options in Alcudia old town. Way too few sunchairs by the pool. Only possible to swap beach towels on Mondays and Thursdays at 5 to 8 pm. The towel exchange takes place at the reception desk and remember to bring these valuable towels to the lobby when you check out.

We are just about to leave after two weeks in Botel alcudiamar, it has been wonderful the staff are very helpful an friendly and always very kind to our 9 month old son. The rooms are a good size the breakfast is excellent and the pool and garden areas are safe and very relaxing. The one thing I would not do again is go half board, not that he food is bad but we like to eat out at night, this was our fault not the hotels. All in all a great place to stay a great location. You will enjoy it...

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view you might get lucky...

My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay at this terrific hotel which proved to be the best hotel we have stayed at during our previous 7 holidays in Majorca. Not that it is perfect BUT if you want a decent hotel, with young, helpful and cheerful staff throughout, in a great position right next to Spain's best beach where children can play beside the sea with no fear of any hazards, where you are yards away from a harbour containing around 400 yachts and boats to admire (and envy !), where the grounds of the hotel can make you imagine you are in the Seychelles or the Maldives, where there is no passing traffic at night, where you can lounge by a pool which abutts the sea, where you can relax in a bar and enjoy lunch with a cool beer and not break the bank, where you can enjoy a comfortable bed, and if like us you book a suite, have the luxury of a lounge as big as yours at home with settee and a TV so big it takes your breath away plus a kitchenette and of course also very important a selection of buffet food at breakfast and dinner so enormous that you are spoiled for choice, again served by those same young cheerful lads and lasses overseen by a Maitre D who is the spitting image of the Manager of Wigan Athletic !, then this is the choice for you...

Maintaining the plusses there is a supermarket at the gated entrance to the complex which will supply you with those items you forgot to bring with you plus - if you get there before 9am - a copy of the European edition of THE DAILY TELEGRAPH to keep up with the real news - and not that on SKY NEWS, CNN or BBC WORLD NEWS, which are equally poor at telling what is going on back home (though we had to smile because due to the escape of the US so called spy we tuned in for several days to see GCHQ in Cheltenham on the screen, a stones throw from where we live !!)

BUT for those of you who really care about such things you will have to accept that buffet food is not cordon bleu food ! The choice is enormous but the quality of some of the cooked meat/chicken/bacon could be better. But dont let that put you off - you have such a large choice on offer that you will be able to fill your plate easily - and don't overlook the soup which was pretty good some days. You will have the choice of eating outside or indoors too. My wife loved especially the encemadas and pastries, whilst I indulged too much on the creamy sponges on the sweet shelf - you have been warned....!

An earlier correspondent commented on the poor standard of the towels - agreed. Also I was disappointed on the decor of the bedroom etc. - very dull with pictures which had seen better days. I think the place could do with a good going over by a stylist - not that it is awful but a four star plus hotel should have a nice face to present to its visitors. This face is rather ordinary.

And they could also improve the bathroom toiletry facilities - again very ordinary.

But these are minor grumbles. They will not spoil your stay. Go on - give the Botel a try - but avoid rooms overlooking the car park on the ground floor. Our room Suite A 109 was very good, especially watching from the extensive balcony the passing flow of people heading for their boats or the boutique shops across the road, with a smart cafe by the seas shore as well as being entertained by friendly sparrows (remember them !!?) and haughty blackbirds - whilst the sunsets over the Trementano mountains were amazing....

As for things to do - try 'nofrills excursions' which deals with English speaking tourists but don't bother with the Inca Market or Valdemosa both tourist traps. Try the Island Tour which takes in our other favourite hotel - the Es Port at Puerto Soller : that is an even better resort than Alcudia Port which is much of a much muchness - though we heartily recommend the Cafe /Bistro I'lla away to the right of the Esplanade (as you face inwards), where you will get the best coffee ever, served by a delightful blonde Polish girl called Sandra, who speaks perfect English!

There is one curiosity when it comes to the pricing of rooms - the hotel offers prices at B and B: for half board they charge only another 7 Euros per night ; but if you go B and B and then seek an evening meal the price is an extra TWENTY Euros.....

Happy to answer questions on all this, by the way, by E Mail.....

Beautiful setting.
Free wifi.
Enjoyed breakfast outside with free cava.
Boat theme cleverly done.
Infinity pool fantastic - we enjoyed the birds drinking at the side.
Good flatscreen tv but only a couple of English channels.
Entertainment most nights. Enjoyed a late dinner outside with the music starting at 8.30pm.
Upgrades were on offer at a price. A suite was €95 /nt extra and a seaview €35/nt.
Towels were €20 each refundable.
Safe €5! Deposit +€3/day.
Enjoyed walking around Alcudia old town. Markets are on Tuesdays and Sundays.
We upgraded from s/c to hbd as it seemed good value (after trying a meal at a seafront cafe.)
The BBQ one evening was a big effort by the staff but not worth the effort put into it.
WWould love to return next year with family and friends to show them this amazing, fabulous hotel.

We returned to this delightful hotel for our 5th visit last week. Undoubtedly the staff of this hotel are it's biggest assets. The location is lovely, the rooms are comfortable and it is all spotlessly clean. I would dearly like them to replace more of their bath towels however which are getting a little tired! My only other critism is the coffee - instant at breakfast and not particularly good from a machine in the bar which is disappointing. I've seen some comments about the fact that they charge for freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast but I don't think you'd find many hotels who would serve it as the norm and it is well worth the extra cost! All in all, a delightful destination.

Room Tip: I would recommened a room overlooking the garden in preference to a sea view.
