We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this fabulous all inclusive hotel (June '14, party of 4 adults, 1 two year old and one 8 month old baby). On arrival we had a easy checking in process and was given a glass of fresh orange juice whilst we booked in. We booked x2 sea view rooms and on booking with our agent asked for rooms next to each other. We were allocated rooms on the 6th floor in block 1 ( same as reception) and were over looking the main pool area and beach. There was only 1 room between our rooms and were happy that our request had been met to a point as we understand that requests can not always be guaranteed. The view from the balcony was stunning. well worth the money. The rooms were clean and tidy and well equipped. No kettle though so take your own like we did. ladies there was a hair dryer too so you wont need to take one. The rooms were also cleaned daily, much to our surprise.

There were 2 lifts in this block. These can maybe get busy in peak times but we waited only a couple of minutes and didn't find this a issue. For those not travelling with young children and prams use the stairs, it will keep you fit and free the lifts up for those that need to use them.

we arrived in the afternoon on 7th June and like any all inclusive holiday it takes a while to get used to it and find out how things work. We soon got to grips and relaxed into the easy was of life.
.
There is 1 main buffet restaurant and 1 beach side restaurant / bar. Breakfast and evening meals are in the main restaurant whilst lunch can be taken in the beach restaurant or main restaurant. The food can only be described as excellent. The choice is extensive and there is always plenty. Nothing is ever left empty. It is filled up as soon as it is getting low. Breakfast ranges from the full English to cold meats, fresh fruits, nuts yoghurts, cereals, lots of bread varieties, jams and spreads. Lunch and evening meals have a fabulous choice too. You could not go hungry or struggle to find something you liked. My mum who travelled with us has a gluten and wheat allergy and finding something to eat which is suitable can be a struggle even in the UK. The hotel staff were fantastic. Mum was shown which foods she could eat every meal time by the matradee. Things were even made up for her if requested. She couldn't have asked for more. The meat dishes in sauces could also be eaten by my mum. The meats served by the hotel were delicious. This can sometimes be a worry wondering if they are going to be cooked right. They were cooked beautifully and not a pink bit in sight.

If you wanted to eat outside by the pool for breakfast or in the evenings we found you had to be ready and sat down at your chosen table a little bit before the restaurant opened. We did this most evenings. If you are happy to sit inside the air-conditioned restaurant then turn up at anytime.

The pool area was lovely. lots of sun beds and parasols. It was unfortunately the same old tail of having to be an early bird to get the best or even any sun bed. This was not a problem for me as I was up early with the little ones. I had my towels on beds by 07.30. If you snooze you do loose. The beach was only 45 seconds from the pool so you could always go there. It was breath taking. The clear waters and white sandy beach made this an ideal beach for young families. You could hire sunbeds and a parasol for only 9 euros a day which I thought was a bargain. Im sure I have paid more over the years. Because the beach was so close to the hotel and beach bar the all inclusive was still used to the full. We had to make a few trips up and down to get drinks so we'll pack a plastic tray next time.

The entertainment staff were very hard working. They kept the kids entertained if you wanted and even had a prize giving during the evening kids entertainment. Stella the banana is a good gimmick for the kids and the catchy tune they sing is still on my mind now. The adults evening entertainment is good. If your expecting broadway shows then your on the wrong holiday. The entertainment team do a very good job and it is well worth watching.

The range of alcoholic drinks is excellent. They have a menu with cocktails, spirits, larger, and many more. We enjoyed the cocktails and plenty were drunk. The glass of baileys went down a treat too.

The location of the hotel was brilliant. only 5 minutes walk to the bust shops bars and restaurants of alcudia and only 15 minute walk to the harbour where there are more bars, shops and restaurants. You can catch a little train outside the hotel for 3 euro each and . get see whats about first and get your baring's.

This holiday gets a 10 out of 10 and could not be faulted in any way. It was my parents first time to Majorca and first time on an all inclusive holiday and the Iberostar Ciudada Blanca did not disappoint. We are even booking to go back again next year. Getting excited already.

Room Tip: well worth booking a sea view if you like a nice view and like to be nosey.

We have just returned from this hotel after a wonderful 7 day holiday. I can't praise or recommend it highly enough. We travelled as a couple but will definitely return with our family as it is marvellous for children. We were in the main block on the 8th(top) floor and the view from our room was wonderful, We overlooked the pool with stunning views of the beach beyond where we could watch all kinds of watersport while we relaxed on our balcony. The food was wonderful with an amazing choice of hot and cold dishes each mealtime. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Me and my wife stayed here for 11 nights and what a lovely hotel! We arrived on the 3rd June 2014 we were greeted at reception bt Alberto (what a lovely person) we were checked in quickly and a porter took our luggage to our room, the reception area was sparkling and exceptionally clean, at our room (1312) we were pleased to see the room was clean and was everything we would need, ignore other reviews claiming they are small as what do you need a bed a bathroom and a balcony!! The air con is good but remember you need to close patio door for it to work but it's great and keeps you cool after a day in the sun as nights are still around 24 degrees in June. The hotel is large with lots of sub buildings we stayed in main hotel but if you are allocated others it's all within complex and so no need to worry, the hotel consists of a main restaurant and an outside bar/ restaurant at the bottom of complex with stunning views of the outstanding beach, food is all buffet style so no table service but the selection is great something for everyone, all communal areas are clean and staff work tirelessly to keep tables free after use, there are 2 pools, the ,main one in centre of resort Is for little ones or those who are not confident in the water as it's shallow first class as you feel safe as little ones are ok in this pool which is constantly overlooked by friendly lifeguard. The other pool to the left of resort is quieter and deep with jacuzzi and ideal if you want peace and quiet. Evening entertainment is good we enjoyed the rock night amazing and was watched by almost entire hotel guests, daily the animation team work hard ensuring you are entertained it starts with morning aerobics in the pool and continues with football on the beach and volley ball. I must add they run a daily mini club for the little ones which although we don't have little ones is very well done they take them off to a quiet corner and do colouring, singing and games and seem to enjoy, even performing a show at end of week, I must point some members of staff who for me were outstanding, Alberto and Adama on reception, Brian from animation team he was great with everyone and made time to talk to you, Sylvia on the bar and the manageress lady always said hello as she seemed to be on duty all day and night, but all staff were fantastic and we will be returning next year, this hotel is located in the most amazing place everything is on your doorstep beach, shops and some great places to eat out if you fancy it, top tip the restaurant at the bottom of complex is better for children so check out both. This is a lovely busy hotel but sunbeds are plenty policy stated that reserving beds is not permitted but it happens from 6am daily, however we never struggled to get somewhere even in afternoon, there is a member of staff on hand should you want to book days out but your rep can too not sure who is best value! simply put this is a great location for a family holiday and will be a great choice and I'm sure you will enjoy the offerings of the ciudad blanca, the best hotel I have stayed in on the med

I travelled with my husband and two small children at the end of May. We had a speedy shuttle from the airport which I would highly recommend as it arrives in Alcudia in half the time it would take a coach transfer. We were offered this place by our travel company as there was a mix up with another hotel in the area, how lucky we were. The apartment was pool facing, and was spotless and kept like that by hard working maids every day. Reception staff were wonderful, very helpful and had happy smiles. Our children were too young for the mini club, however were allowed to join in with myself present. The animation team work very hard from morning to night and the bar and restaurant staff were pleasant even when very busy. Food was not your average all inclusive, it was up to restaurant standard and was plentiful with lots to choose from, the dinning room can get very busy but we never had to wait for a table. All inc drinks were of good quality and included cocktails. Our children loved the mini disco from 8-9pm, entertainment after that seemed quite good alough we didn't stay too long but heard it from our balcony. The pools were very clean and safe with lifeguards, the whole place was kept immaculate. Just outside the back is a beautiful white sandy beach which you could walk along to the port, this took around 20mins. Alcudia itself is a bit too commercialised for my liking with the usual tacky shops, however the old town is beautiful, it is around 2 miles away, we made the mistake of going on market day, it was very very busy and with a double buggy, getting through it was a struggle, we got a taxi there but walked back because the queue for a return taxi was so long. My advice would be to avoid on a Sunday and Tuesday especially if you have small children. The only small niggle I have with a four star hotel is the lack of wifi in the apartment and the fact you have to pay for it after half an hour in the reception area, and this only bothered me because we have a small business and had to be connected for e-mails etc. All in all a fantastic holiday especially for children, (I wouldn't choose this place if travelling without them) so great we have already booked for next year. Thank you to all the staff, a big mention to Starky the mascot, my 3 year old is still singing your song.

Room Tip: Pool facing in the main block is nice and if your on the 3rd or 4th floor you will get a view of the...
