The hotel is great with really friendly staff. They all speak good english and they have a laugh with u. The rooms are okay but you have to push the beds together as they are single beds with one or two sofa beds. Also the cleaners are greag except they broke the key in our door and they changed the lock and didnt tell us untill we panicked that we couldnt get in the room. Also they left the door open letting mosquotis in which we managed to keep out all week. The food is amazing and really good value. The entertainer amanda is so good and funny and the bingo calls arnt normall either, we had to shout 'oi manda give us your wonga' it made it more fun.
Overall a great holiday !

Just come back from the mariners read all the reviews on here before we went so we went with an open mind. When we arrived at 11:30am we were told our room was still occuppied (book out is no later then 12) so we would have to wait for it to be vacated and then cleaned this would be done by around 1pm,great start we thought. The lady on the desk gave us some vouchers so we could get a drink on the house while we waited so we went onto the terrace and did just that and had something to eat as well. While we were there we saw other people coming in and going to their rooms and we were sat there waiting,So just before 1pm we went back to the desk and asked what was happening to be told that it would be around another 10 to 15 mins before it would be ready. Our patience was starting run out as we had left our home at 2:30am the night before,we were tired and hot and just wanted to change etc and relax and instead were were just sitting waiting. Finally at about 1:15pm were were given the key to our room,we hoped this was just a blip and not a sign of things to come.We paid for the air con 70 euros for the 2 weeks we were going to be there and 40 euros for the safe both necessary in our opinion.
We went to our room which was on the second floor mid way down the block, level with the kids pool.on entering were were pleasently surprised (studio apartment) it seemed spacious enough for the 3 of us.The main room was L shaped with 2 sofa beds either side as you entered and another bed around the corner, near this bed was a chest of drawers and a wardrobe (with the safe in).To the left of the room was the kitchen area it comprised of a fridge (with ice box),a highlevel microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 ring electric cooker with extractor. In the cupboards and drawers was everything you needed cups utensils etc.At the back was the bathroom which contained a bath with shower over it which was very powerful and always had plenty of very hot water. There were plenty of towels in there which were changed 5 times during our stay and the sheets were changed twice.Basically the room had everything you needed if like us you only use it to sleep and eat in and not plan to spend all your holiday in there.
The next morning we were up by around 8:30 wandered out onto the balcony where we saw the pool being cleaned as it was every morning and too our surprise there were only a few towels on beds (not like other places we have stayed where they queued at 7:30 to get beds). In fact if you were down around the pool before 11am you did not have any problem getting a bed after this time it got busy but after 4pm lots of beds become available (the pool was open until 8pm).
Some people have said about the location of the mariners its in a quiet area but i think it is in walking distance of most places (beach, shops etc).If you got out of the front and head toward the main road (tucan av) there is a spar shop which we found to be expensive if you turned right at the spar and walked about 1/3 of a mile you will find a lidl but its a long way to carry anything heavy back from but cheaper.Instead if you turned left at the spar a few hundred yards down the road was an eroski store much cheaper and bigger than the spar.I will give you an example of the price diffrence in all 3 shops,a large packet of ham flavoured ruffle crisps (very nice) in spar 2.19 euros, lidl 1.29 erous in eroskis you could get 2 triple pack with 2 ham and 1 ready salted for 2.09 euros so much cheaper we got all our grceries from there during our stay.
If you plan on going to the beach the best way we found was to come out of the hotel turn right then left and after about 30 yards you come to a canal you can walk down this canal or the next as they run parallel with each other to the main road cross over and then about 50 yard and you are to the beach. We never rushed it it took between 10-15 mins.
If you want to eat out the nearest place to go is the bellevue area, lots of choice the easiest way to get there is come out of the hotel turn left down th side of the hotel at the bottom turn right and you come to a lake, walk down the side of the lake to the end past the jolly roger pub and you will come to what you are looking for.We ate at the hotel quite often as they served food from 08:30 until 22:30 and have quite a large selection and everything we tried was not bad quality, the bbq on wednesdays was great. The prices of the food was reasonable as was the drinks a pint of lager 2.70 euros cocktail 4 euros.
The rep was around most days if you needed her,she did the usual meeting telling you about the area and trips thomson do we found these expensive so we booked with no frills excursions much better value. There was an entertainer (amanda) at the mariners most days for a few hours from 11:30 am until 14:30,she did lotsof thing for the kids during this time and water polo for the adults as well.At 20:30 she would do a mini disco for the kids for around 30 mins she was great fun and very friendly and kept people entertained. She seemed to know everyones name which was good considering the amount of people she must see.
The main entertainment was not bad for a small place, while we were there they had 2 singers,a acrobat troupe,a magician,a hypnotist and a comedy group called xerox which were all quite good. The things that were not so good were the small shows which started around 10pm and lasted around 30 mins for the kids mainly they were,a reptile show,a bird of prey show,an animal show and a parrot show all of which when they finished encouraged people to have their photo taken at a cost of 10 -15 euros. There was a game of cash bing every night at around 11pm which was a good bit of fun and everything went qiuet at around midnight.
The staff were all friendly and helpful all spoke english and would stop to have a chat with you.All in all the place was very relaxed we had no complaints. We have shown our pics to various members of our family and told them all about the place and all have expressed an interest in going there so we are pricing up ready for next year.
I hope the information i have given is helpful i could waffle on a lot more but thought i would just concentrate on the important things. If you want to know anymore just drop us a line and we will try to answer any queries you might have.If you want a fancy hotel the the mariners is not for you,if you want a relaxed value for money holiday then give it a try.We enjoyed it but as they say you cannot please everyone .

Ok so Mariners Club is the right place to be , firstly the big room is good except the toilet that is separated , with everything you need , like the staff are kind but don't understand English - but why should they your in Spanish Mallorca . There is a pool - 1.50 m , and a children pool , there is the big play area for the children . The down side is that the beach is 900 metres away - but don't worry there are fabolous places around so you will enjoy walking there - and you don't have to go to the beach as there are lakes around , and the old ruins of Roman buildings and the other places like the big fortress where the old town is placed in . For me the hotel is great , with entertainers , big pool for adults and children !!

Just back from Mariners, very basic in need of upgrading, food average, service not as good as i have seen, dont serve drinks at table unless you take a meal, do not exchange scottish money either. The mozzies are a big problem. They are a bit cheaper but you only get what you pay for. Entertainment was average as was food. We were self catering so we ate out 90 percent of the time. Waterpark was near but again food awful and expensive. Would not return to these apartments.

Room Tip: Ask for a one bedroomed apartment as studios small

Hotel not great to be honest there are no beds just sofas that you have to push together and they are very hard. Rooms are very small and we only get maid service twice in a week, once the day after arrival and then nothing until the day before we were leaving. Pool is quite nice and food is ok too. It is more than 900 meters away from the beach and although our flight was not until 23.25 we got kicked out of the room at 12 noon, we tried to book a late check out but they double booked the room. There are mosquitos eveywhere I had 30 bites at one point but I have never been bitten until I went here.
