I am at a loss to understand the negative comments about this hotel. I stayed for 10 nights in October 2012 with my spouse on an all inclusive basis. We had a spacious apartment on the sixth floor, facing the pool, which was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff were probably the friendliest and most helpful I have encountered. The food and drinks were plentiful and varied. In fact it was bliss for a sweet toothed carnivore like myself. Many of the other guests were German and were polite, friendly and sober. The number of resident guests was 60 - 70 and this meant that there was no queuing for anything -bar, restaurant, reception, lift, -all was instant service. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the town and there is a walk of about 400 meters to the beach. This does involve crossing one of the town's main roads but this was never a problem. The hotel is located very close to bus stops which provide a frequent, reliable service around the area at reasonable cost.
In all, the hotel was the basis for a really good holiday and I am at a loss to understand what all the moaning is about.

Room Tip: The rooms on upper floors facing the pool have terrific views of the mountains and the sun rise.

Just got back,The hotel is clean and tidy, the food usual three star you eat it because it's free. All the staff are nice and friendly, the hotel is not far from the beach and in a nice area,The big problem is there is no entertainment well there was German playing with his organ one night but that was the night we were leaving we can thank God for that, and that was it !. Around the pool most hotels have sports going on but not here boring, there was a kids entertainer all in German.glad to get home.

arrived at hotel on 13th september 2012 hotel staff greeted us very friendly but no information pack given just a card with room number on an meal times , air conditioning only worked on one speed other two speeds didnt work , door frame loose an insecure & nails showing , bedroom wall light was upside down & didnt work . balcony rusty in places & rooms not cleaned properly .
85% of guests were german & entertainment was mostly in german with a german clown & german disco , but their was very little entertainment . pool side bar was said to be open 10am until 6pm yet it opened at 3pm so you could only help your self to a beer very little else . on a night time english bar woman was rude an very ignorant . but the worst experience ever was the food totally awful , i was close to vomiting so many times . we went all inclusive but had to eat out most meal times so we had a lot of expense eating & drinking out . we would never ever stay their again .

Room Tip: rooms at the front of the hotel are the best as get sun shine all day long

Just got back from a weeks stay. Everything was going great flight etc, then had a 45 minute transfer but as we had to loads of different flights to pack on the bus, took 3 hours!! Finally got off the bus checked in, very brusque receptionists hardly any information given just a card with mealtimes on. The Hotel has a very attractive lounge area, not a bad restaurant, pool area fine. Everything is clean. Our studio was horrid! Shabby, old, tired. Nasty little kitchenette with a formica (!) table and 4 chairs from the 1950's! Tatty bathroom, hand painted bath (like sandpaper). Rattling windows, odd broken cupboards, minute scratched box TV. To be fair it was pretty clean and didnt smell. Although there was a kitchen with fridge and cooker there was no plates cups pots or cutlery. The only mirror was over the basin and there was no hairdryer. I went down and complained and was told they only had one another room available
and not until the next day. We checked the room over the next day - exactly the same but the bathroom had been refurbed, we didnt bother to move in the end.
The food was fair, not horrible, not exciting, usually cold and never any roasts or much meat. Pleasant dining room, no atmosphere, somewhere to be fed more than dine out.
Pool area fine, lots of beds clean safe. No entertainment at all (save a couple of quizzes and a disco for the kids) A/C too low in the bar area, most people sat outside in the evening but had to face a roadwork type fence block in bright red and white to fence off the swimming pool to make it safe for children. The gaps were large enough for kids to climb through!!
They sometimes had cd's playing to themselves in the bar with all the doors shut so everyone outside couldnt hear it! Drinks were good, even real Baileys - but plastic cups and glasses.
Restaurant doors were closed on the dot and sometimes people were asked to leave! Bang on 11pm lights were switched off and we were ushered out the bar/ lounge. It seemed that as it was all inclusive they didnt want to encourage guests to stay in the hotel and drink, as if it was boring people would tend to go searching for entertainment and purchase drinks elseswhere. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beautiful beach. 2 x sunbeds and a straw umbrella cost 9 euros. Beach bar was expensive. Lunas bar on the main strip was a nice lively bar with tribute acts most nights, we saw "Westlife" and they were really good. We have a pleasant week in the sun but it could have been better if the hotel upped its game.
NB I booked this hotel after reading the excellent reviews for a very similar named hotel in alcudia and then found I had booked this one!!

Room Tip: Roadside ones noisy, my tip - stay in another hotel!

Just got back, 20th Sept 12, from 7 nights and I'm glad to be home, that’s the first time I have ever said that. The hotel in a quiet, pleasant part of Alcudia and you don’t have to walk far to get to the livelier areas. It’s reasonably clean, there are enough sun beds to go around and the pools large and clean but that’s about the best of it.
The rooms are very tired with chipped wall and floor tiles throughout. Enamel on the bath worn out, light bulbs not working and there is a very "old" smell about the whole place. The beds are as comfortable as old pallets. The food is beyond description, Embarrassing would be the politest you could say about it.
The staff wander about with no enthusiasm what so ever, the only one with some "go" in him is the young guy at the pool bar. This hotel was self catering up until 2 years ago and all the rooms still have the kitchen units in them but not a kettle in sight so when everything shuts down at 11.00pm on the dot and I mean on the dot, even down to the lighting inside and outside except from the main door to the room corridors, you can’t get so much as a cup of tea until breakfast time.
When the pool shuts downin the evening, guess what they use to separate it off from the outside seating area, road work barriers. The place looks like a bloody construction site from 7.00pm. Have a look at the picture. They don’t even light the pool up to make it look attractive either. Won’t bother wasting time commenting on the evening entertainment.
The TV in the room was a joke, some tatty portable with a grainy picture they pulled out of a skip plus 90% tuned into, yes you’ve guessed it, German.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel

Bloody hell 973MOMO . What do you expect for £250 . Stayed here for 8 days and just got back . Read reviews before we went but I must say it was NOT as bad as the negative people make it out to be . Yeah the food is not the best and it does cater mostly for German people . But I believe I got more than enough for my money . I agree it is rather dated , and my fridge door fell off every time I opened it ( worse thing's happen in life ) . Pillows not the best and air con was a bit noisy but not enough to whinge about . The only thing I could complain about in this Hotel would have to be the Entertainment ( if you can call it that ) . It was that bad it made me laugh ( out loud ) . But to be honest Alcudia ( although a nice place ) lacks entertainment anyhow . May have something to do with being September .

What I think people fail to realise , is that most all inclusive hotel's have been forced to go down that route . ( was told this by one of their senior staff ) . I asked for a Baileys and recieved a full glass of it ( well a cheaper version of it ) . A few glasses of these set us up for the night .

Anyone looking for a good English bar there are 2 I highly reccomend . First one is Oxygen bar . Cheap drinks and food ( did not try the food ) . Amanda and Dave are very attentive and really do appreciate you being there . Secondly is The Foxes arms along the main road left to the hotel . Real English breakfast . I know you will be all inclusive but for the prices they charge you cannot grumble ... Danker and Auf Weidersen
