The Vanity is a lovely hotel, situated virtually on the beach.
The rooms are spacious with most offering a sea view from a large balcony overlooking well-kept gardens,a pool, and luxurious sunbeds.
The food, although buffet-style is wonderfully varied-typically Mallorquian dishes, but also international cuisine and plenty of choice for vegetarians like me!
The best bit about the Vanity is the staff-attentive, kind and full of good humour..
A perfect base for cycling with plenty of climbs up the Tramontana mountains.
The clients are principally German-so be prepared to be scrutinised if you are a Brit.!

Room Tip: Book a sea-view -worth the extra money!

Our second visit and it was even better than the first. The buffet meals were superb and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room on the top floor had fantastic views. There is no better located hotel in Alcudia. My only criticism is that they do not turn on the air con on until May and it was hot at easter. The outdoor pool is heated and mostly empty. We discovered lovely coastal walks on this trip, the shoe outlets at Inca and we enjoyed old town Pollensa again. Highly recommended. Do not forget your mosquito repellant though!

Room Tip: A sea view overlooking the pool

Fantastic location with beautiful views and comfortable facilities. Great to have a secure room to keep the bikes in and it is the perfect location to cycle from for a day out training or visiting new towns.

I stayed here for a fortnight as part of a large cycling group. The Hotel is wonderfully located a stone's throw from the white sands of the Playa Alcudia and the rooms beautifully appointed, designed and serviced.

The restaurant serves a super and varied selection for both Breakfast and Dinner but above all it's the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff - from the reception to the room servicing that sets this wonderful property aside.

Adjacent to the hotel are a variety of restaurants and amenities in both 'new' and 'old' Alcudia and Port de Pollenca is but a (wonderfully scenic) drive along the coast road. Be aware that the seasons finishes in mid October and the hustle and bustle outside will quickly be transformed to peace and quiet but for us this added to the effectiveness of the downtime and recovery time back at the hotel.

Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Room Tip: Go for a mid placed room to get great sea views

My wife and I stayed here for one week, using it as a base for a cycling holiday. The hotel would be difficult to fault. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony looking out over the beach and the swimming pool. The room was a good size, well equipped with good quality furnishings. There was fruit and a few drinks in the fridge as a welcome gift. A Senseo coffee machine was provided but we asked for a kettle and this arrived immediately. The bathroom was a little small and using the shower was a bit of a fiddle because of the lack of space.
Breakfast was brilliant with everything imaginable available. We always eat out rather than use the hotel when we travel but on this occasion ate in every night, partly because the nearby restaurants did not appeal but mainly because the hotel food was so good (and reasonably priced). They serve a buffet for dinner but every night was different with a huge choice and great quality.
There are several nice touches: complimentary cava is available all day and the afternoons, a refreshing fruit drink was served to the sun loungers.
The cycle storage was excellent, secure and spacious.
As good as the hotel was, the 'thing' that made it special was the staff. Without exception they were friendly, helpful and efficient. A real tribute to the recruitment and training. They made our stay extra special.
The hotel is adult only.
One other point. Most of the guests were German and most of them had forgotten how to smile. I've never seen a more solemn lot!

the staff could not be bothered with a few exceptions, ordering lunch or getting a drink was a major challenge.
The rooms are tired and need some updating,
Given the nightly rate being charged for the safe and no tea or coffee facilities in the room was a joke, i was 'helpfully' told which supermarket i could buy coffee from to have in our room.
The entertainment was not in the slightest bit entertaining.
Dodgy cava on arrival, don't bother trying!

Room Tip: book another hotel

Dear Peggy ,
We appreciate the time you have taken to give us your opinion about the hotel, and in first place we want to apologize that some aspects did not met your expectations.

Please be sure that all your comments have been discussed with the heads of the departments involved and help us to improve our service level in the future.
Normally we do not get complaints about our staff , which , I can assure you , as our main aim is to give a high quality service to our customers. Regarding the prices from safe, coffee and tea capsules in the rooms, we would like to let you know, that the rates are in line with prices charged in hotels in our category. As you know we would like to mention as well, that we have many free services that other hotels might charge as guided tours, yoga classes, WIFI, etc. . The cava for check-in , as well as the complimentary champagne in the cafeteria after breakfast until 18.00 is meant to be a detail for our customers, and I can assure you, that it is really well received. Either way please accept my most honest apologize is you did not like it.

We stayed at this hotel outside of the high season period. I didn't like that our room was on the first floor and they've changed us to a higher floor. Room was good, internet worked without problems and food was good, too. Friendly and helpful staff. I can't fault it. Pretty quiet although maybe because of this people staying there were on the older side....
