“Great holiday- Superb Staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2011

The staff were excellent- from the receptionists through to the hotel's own entertainment staff. Very helpful, and always friendly to adults and kids alike.
Food was good, a different theme each night, and there was always something for the children.
Beach is only a 10 minute walk away, but there is a regular bus service there too- although we never used it. We loved the beach, sandcastles, long walks, sunbathing...whatever you fancy the beach is the place to go.
The Hidro park is free for Club Mac patrons, and is a fun place for the kids. The all inclusive drinks/meals does not extend to the Hidro Park, but you can (if you wish) pop back to the hotel (literally next door) for lunch and then go straight back to the park.
Sad to see the Brits getting up and 'reserving' sunbeds by the hotel pools as early as 6am every day....just not required and more than a bit sad!
Corridors in hotel noisy and the slightest noise will stream into your accommodation- we asked for a quiet room and were luck to be placed away from the stairs and lifts, but on several occasions were awoken by guests returning to their rooms at night. This really is the only negative of the holiday, and certainly not one that would stop us recommending Club Mac.
May well be going back next year!!!!

We stayed at The Club Mac Alcudia in the Saturno Hotel, the room was okay not to big but not to small. We had a good view of the lake and the landscape. Not able to sleep very well though, because the beds were not very comfortable and at just after 10am every morning and throughout the day someone would come on the loud speaker telling you about what was happening thoughout the day and about sun creams, a bit like Hi-de-hi, also the entertainment went on untill midnight and people banged their bedroom doors, at all times of the day or night, instead of closing them. Please try and take some ear plugs.
You had to wait a little while for the lifts, which in our hotel kept breaking down, had no air conditiong in and there should, in our opinion, have been more lifts in our hotel.
You had to do a lot of queuing, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and at the many bars, but with up to 3000 guests spread across three hotels you would expect that, but the queues soon went down. The food was good with a good variety for everyone and plenty of it, with a theme every night. The staff in the hotel's restaurants were very polite and coped very well with the number of people in each restaurant.
The entertainment was very enjoyable with bingo, which had good prize amounts, every night, and the acts were good. You had to get to were the entertainment was being held early otherwise you would not get a seat.
The hotel shop sold a good selection of goods at a good price but quite often the products were not priced which caused some confusion,
there was also a Spar shop, nearby, which helped.
The complex had some good stalls, in the evening, selling products down by the lake.
The aqua park nearby was good fun with free entry, if you were all-inclusive at the Club Mac, but expensive when you were in there.
There was a free bus from the Club Mac down to Alcudia beach and it ran at regular intervals.
The staff in the Club Mac were very polite and always cleaning so the place was clean and tidy.
The complex was very family orientated so there was plenty to do for the whole family, but often parents would not keep an eye on their children and would not know where they were or what they were up to.
There were quite a few swimming pools in the Club Mac and they were cleaned every day but you needed to get down to the pools early every day to get a good sun bed.
The Club Mac was a very busy and fun complex with plenty to do for everyone and was a very enjoyable holday but if you are looking for a peacful holiday please do not go to The Club Mac it will be to noisy and busy for you.

Room Tip: With a good View of the lake

The Saturno hotel we stayed at was on a super splash deal we got a family room with all our meals included and free entry to the hidropark.

My youngest son is still used to coming into our room in the morning so the four bedded room was perfect and he stayed in his own bed because he could still see us. It was clean and had plenty of space for clothes.

The restaurant food is themed with pizza and pasta or chinese etc, on different nights but there is a choice of salads too and the buffet breakfasts are great never felt rushed the children could eat slowly and enjoy it.

There are four childrens pools and the pedalos are free but only in the mornings we went there first and then onto the hidropark or out for the day. The slides are huge I did work up the courage to have a go on the last day and secretly loved it so dont wait and miss the fun just go for it like the kids do. There are some mini slides as well for little ones. My 7 year old daughter was a regular at the mini disco and we had to go shopping for hair sparklies !!!

We did use the shuttle bus to the beach its free and the sandy beach is safe just watch feet the sand gets so hot dont forget the flipflops !!

The staff are busy bees the cleaning is 24 hours and was impressive at such a big place the childrens entertainers really do their job. Adults have loads to do but I seemed to spend most of my time changing the children out of wet cossies they really had a fun-packed week.

We would like to say that this was an affordable family break for a family of four.

This is the place to go If you love crowds, long queues, rude staff, average food, yobs, lost of noise, sharing a tiny room with your kids, want to pay loads on top of your all inclusive price, uncomfortable sun beds, pools continually being closed because they are used as toilets!!, being treated as a number - not an individual (care from both travel company and hotel staff is dismissive) and want nothing to make your holiday special.

On the plus it was clean, kids loved (ages 8 and 11) the kids club, reasonable entertainment and average food.

My tip would be to stay away or if you do go avoid peak season.

We did read the reviews about this hotel complex and we were thinking of cancelling, I am glad we didn't . The holiday was extremely good value for money. The reps couldn't do enough for you they were kind and helpful, but they left you alone if you wanted. Travel arrangements were all good and the transfer went smoothly both there and back.
The complex is huge three hotels on one site but you can use all their facilities. It was very busy, but it is going to be busy at that time of year. It is very family orientated, especially for younger children there was always something being organised for them.
There was a free shuttle to the beach and to the port of Alcudia in the evening but both of these are within walking distance.
The food was great there was always a different theme going on, and the choice was fab.
The hotels and public areas were spotless and the staff were really friendly .
The water park across the road too was great, we saved money there by not paying for all day everyday entrance, we just paid for the two days we wanted to go.
Our points for improvement would be, build another swimming pool, maybe an adult only, improve the air conditioning (it was really non existent ) revamp the rooms, they were ok but they need to be bigger and they were starting to look a bit dated. Also the beds were very hard and we ended up with back ache. Buy new comfy sunbeds, although there were plenty of them they were very uncomfortable and they did n't move up and down.
But if you have a family and you want a fun, busy, value for money in the sun go here!

I don't normally write reviews but I would like to put peoples mind at rest. I was worried about going after reading negative comments but had a great holiday. I travelled with my husband and 2 children ages 5 and 9. Rooms were small but clean. It was busy, but full of families so lots to do. My son loved the maxi club and my daughter a poor eater always found something she liked. I was most impressed with the staff who were always friendly and very efficient. I would definitely go back.

Just returned from a very enjoyable two weeks at Club Mac Jupiter in Alcudia.

Food was good with wide choice at all meal times. Themed dinners were good (even if they didn't know the differences between Chinese and Indian). Beer was good (San Miguel) but wine at dinner was like vinegar.

Entertainment was very good. Excellent acrobatic shows and tribute acts (except for Elvis who was awful). Animation team were brilliant. Kids really enjoyed the mini discos each night.

Staff were very polite and helpful. My daughter was sick on the bed at 3am one night due to too much sun and within 5 mins of requesting new bedsheets the maid was at the door. Place was spotless, there was always someone cleaning somewhere.

Some things weren't included in the all-inclusive such as Safe (37€), TV channels (35€), Pedaloes (10€ after 1pm, free in morning), Kids inflatable play area and Waterpark (only free to some guests otherwise 19€ for adults 10€ for kids).

Main problem with the hotel is it is too big. Makes it virtually impossible to meet people and make friends. Also queues at show nights were huge and not enough bar staff to cope.

Overall we had a good holiday but this is truly Butlins in the Sun. I've tried it once and that is enough.
