Stayed with my son on the first floor for 1 week. Hotel location ok for access to beach and shops etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were tidied every day. Food was good for the money paid with enough choice. Probably 90% of guests were German but that wasn't a problem for us. Only negative was the soundproofing in the rooms as the walls are very thin and we were disturbed by guests talking/taking showers/watching TV in rooms next door in early hours. Entertainment low budget but you don't have to watch it!

Another great holiday at this hotel. Only problem i found is that you cant have a cigarette with yr coffee before 10.30 in the morning, The self service drink machines were not up and running when i was there. Only place i could get a coffee before the bar opened was in the dining room. Try and get yr drink out of the dining room is a joke. The waitress will come all the way outside to stop you doing it, She would not let anyone decant it into a plastic cup either.ridiculous considering i could get a coffee from the bar at 10.30 and take it outside. However Godzilla relented and let everyone take their drinks outside on my last morning there.

Room Tip: family rooms do not have a balcony

We stayed in the Boccaccio from the 6th-21th of may 2014. This is our personal opinion about this hotel, based on the experience we've had. We stayed on an all inclusive base.

The good:
- the hotel is very near the beach
- it has a beachbar, where you can get drinks if you book all inclusive
- some of the rooms have nice views
- transportation is easy because the bus stops near the hotel
- most of the staff are very friendly and work very hard and long hours
- the food is good, but because there's only 1 restaurants, it gets repetative when you stay 2 weeks
- the poolwater is checked every morning
- the area where the hotel is in Port 'd Alcudia, is nice and green

The bad:
- the hotel is old and the rooms are small
- the rooms have poor noise isolation; on occasion, you can hear the neighbours snore
- the manager was not very helpfull when we needed tot upgrade to a renovated room because of health issues
- the swimmingpool is very small and there's not a lot of space
- the bread for the breakfast was very dry

The ugly:
- the noise is horrible; there was noise from the animationteam (loud music from approx. 10.30 am untill 21.00 pm, and then the "shows" started), noise from the busy roads around the hotel, noise from youngsters going out, noise from several installations "humming" in the surrounding hotels and restaurants
- the old rooms are worn down, dusty and horrible and a serious health issue for people with lung problems; this is why, after a night without sleep due to respitory problems, we bought an upgrade to a renovated room, which cost us an extra 200 euro for 13 nights
- the all inclusive formula for drinks is very poor; just 1 cocktail, not even freshly mixed but a premixed something from a large container (I never saw this in any other hotel), wine, beer, water and softdrinks (very few choices if you wanted something non alcoholic or don't care for softdrinks)
- the photo's of the beachbar are taken in such a way that you actually see another beachbar (Playero, very nice place and I recommend it!) so it looks nice, but the truth is a bit different (off course it is stille nice to have a free drink on the beach, but choice is limited and so are the opening hours)
- the management forbids all inclusive guests to bring drinks to your room, which is stupid because there are also guests there who stay on a sleep only base and they bring drinks to their rooms as well

This hotel is a fine place to be if you aren't too picky about drinks, don't mind loud music and a noisy atmosphere, don't care about a small and rundown room and don't mind that there's only one crowded restaurant. And granted, if you're less picky this is good value for money.
Port 'd Alcudia is nice and the bay is brilliant for swimming and can easily compete with some caribean beaches.

We didn't like it though and spend a lot of extra money on drinks in other places just to avoid the hotel. For us a bad choice. The hotel manager was kind of rude, telling us that the air on Mallorca was the problem for our lungs, not his shabby rooms. As if we don't know for ourselves what triggers our problems!

Overall we didn't feel guests in this hotel. We felt there were a lot of regulations, few choices and poor treatment of the all inclusive guests. Except if you are from Germany and travel with touroperator Schaunsland. Then you get the better rooms, special reserved places in the restaurant (with nice views over the lake) and you have your own bar.

Room Tip: Get a room as high as possible. There is no good side when it comes to noise but at least when you h...

We wanted a cheap all inclusive over easter, this fitted the bill. There was mix up with the rooms, but this was sorted. Rooms clean, comfy beds. This is a very quiet part of alcudia, nothing going on in evenings, so our teenagers(and us) found it a bit dull. It is very popular with older Spanish and German tourists. The only other younger people were cyclists and canoeists who go to bed early and don't mix. Not much for families apart from the lovely beach. Food average, (sprouts for breakfast?) Pool small and clean, but the canal over the wall was occasionally smelly.

A week All inclusive for under £300 and that was with flight and transfers. Location was excellent. Staff, especially bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Entertainment in the evening was ok. Chocolatie was very popular with the kids. Didn't once have a bad meal, if you want 5*, go and pay for it. Our balcony was at the back of the hotel, we got the last of the days sun but it came at a price, we were above where the bin men come with their lorry at 01.00hrs and boy they could make some noise.. , On the whole had a lovely holiday and will definately go back to Roc Boccaccio :-)

Room Tip: Wouldn't recommend a room at the back, Bin lorry comes at 01.00 :-(

Eight family and friends have had a brilliant time in Alcudia at the roc baccaccio we went all inclusive and paid approx £300 each all in. Staff (apart from the super mario lookalike Behrind the bar who ignored us and always kept us waiting) really friendly, worked really hard kept our room lovely we left all sorts out on show and no problem with security or anything going missing entertainment staff though weren't much cop

Yes some of the other visitors at the hotel did seem to look down there noses at the British but smile and wave boys was our motto, I think they just seemed to have a hard time enjoying themselves. Clash of cultures.
I'm a very fussy vegetarian and my 16. Year old is a nightmare eater but there was always something to eat, a great selection very well prepared presented and always topped back up straight away. Our food was always hot so anybody else who slates the food is talking bollocks my husband who is a chef was impressed and yes some of the food ie the sausages were German style but they all tried them. The only thing I would say is if your a toast monster like me you'll be a bit disappointed the toast carousel was laughable.

We used all areas of the hotel so as for areas being reserved for Germans only, that's news to us we were never told this and weren't made to feel uncomfortable or 2nd class to the Germans in fact we met a lovely family from hamburg who we will be keeping in touch with if u respect others then you normally get it back

We spent our days on the beautiful beach and got our money's worth out of the beach bar Maria who was there daily was a star. We never once saw any Germans reserving the sun loungers with towels however that area is in the shade so we just hired loungers out on the sand for 4.50 euros about 20 meters away. You must get a massage on the beach we paid 10 euros and I swear to god two sessions sorted out what years of physio in England hasn't YING a small Thai woman was the best but the fellas were good a swell and they only charged us 5 euros each at the end of the week
We are all going to go back again you really cannot complain for the money but some people want the world for that much you can't kid the Germans and the Spanish there's a reason why it's so popular with them they expect a good standard that's why they keep going back

Room Tip: Bit noisy on the main road got woken up by the early morning coach pickups
