We spend two night at this gourgous hotel , all the rooms are different, our's was beauitful, spacious, with large bathroom and a few of the pool.We arrived late to a warm welcome and a snack prepared by the chief. Breakfast was serverd outside and not rushed, the only little niggle was the pool service, which was not as quick as we would have liked but when the drinks and lunch snackes arrived they were good. We loved our time there and would return, this is a little gem of a hotel.

When most people think of Mallorca, they think of beautiful beaches and blue water. So, why would you want to target a hotel overlooking a mountain village with no view of the sea? Gran Hotel Son Net is an oasis of quiet beauty, a spectacular blue pool and gourmet food at its 4 star restaurant. The service staff takes care of your every need and request from the time you open up your car door. We spent three days doing...nothing...except relaxing, sleeping, reading by the pool and enjoying the ever changing sky evolve above us. It must be the Mediterranean climate, but the clouds are continually forming and evaporating before your eyes. Only the roosters in the village below will punctuate the quiet morning.

Dear Son Net,

We are still recovering from the SHOCK of walking through the doors of our ¨room¨ and into the most spectacular suite we´ve ever seen!! A small house is actually a better description. We were totally amazed by the grandness of it all and the ridiculous amount of space which deserves a week´s stay at least to enjoy all of its areas!

We quickly decided that we were going to make the most of every moment in that heavenly space and opted for a delicious dinner in our suite´s dining room, made extra special with your cava and surprise cake which was divine - followed by the most peaceful sleep and breakfast on our spectacular terrace.

Honestly... we cannot thank you enough for spoiling us with such extravagance. It has been such a treat to escape together without the kids before the baby comes.

Many, MANY thanks for such a special and memorable evening. It was spectacular!

Warm regards.

Room Tip: All of the rooms in the main house are original and beautiful in their own unique way. But an upgrad...

This place is truly amazing - an easy 25 minute drive from the airport, and the same into central Palma, but it feels like the middle of nowhere. The location is stunning, overlooking the village and surrounded by mountains. We had booked a deluxe room but on arrival were told we had been upgraded to a suite, which was one of the most beautiful sets of rooms I've ever stayed in. Throughout the hotel, all the fixtures and fittings seem to be of a very high quality - there's no sense of skimping at all. One particularly striking thing is the amount of space and peace you get here - the hotel and grounds are very spacious, so although it was apparently quite full, it didn't feel that way at all. Pool is huge and pool area and surrounding terraces are beautiful. The staff were great - not "in your face", but there if you needed them. Breakfast was lovely, particularly sitting outside on the terrace, and we also ate in the bar, which was fine (and good cocktails). The restaurant looked more formal, but we were out and about a lot so didn't try it. The hotel also has some animals - donkeys and miniature horses, which are very cute! Possibly the only improvement I can think of would be to put coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms - we had a free minibar (soft drinks) which was great, but it would have been nice to have been able to have an in-room espresso sometimes.
Overall, I can't recommend this place enough if you're after a luxurious but low key break in a beautiful location.

Room Tip: Room 29 is a large corner suite with breathtaking mountain views

We recently returned from a lovely weekend stay attending a family wedding. Fabulous hotel, only thing that spoiled it was iPads, camera and mobile phones went missing from the bungalow rooms at the side of hotel. Staff were not very helpful when these missing items reported to them. Such a sad ending to a superb time in fantastic surroundings.

Just returned from a week here, a fantastic break, the location and beauty of the hotel force you to slow dow and relax. Staff are so friendly, but informal, I felt completely comfortable here. Quality of restaurant is up there with the best but beware, it is dreadfully expensive, especially the wine, cheapest 32 Euros! Breakfast is lovely but cooked food comes out luke warm rather than piping hot. If that doesn't bother you it will be a fab time !!!

Room Tip: all rooms we saw were lovely

The hotel is set in a beautiful hillside location and the pool area in particular is stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful if a little difficult to find on occasions. The breakfast was delicious while the restaurant food was no more than adequate. It was dissapointing that only one restaurant was open despite the hotel web site saying that two restaurants were available at this time of year. It's definitely a good idea to hire a car and book restaurants in other locations in the area in advance.
