“Amazing Hotel - Simply the BEST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

My husband, 7 year old daughter and I stayed here at the end of July returning home in August. This hotel is fabulous and the staff are amazing the Manager; reception personnel and Chez and the team in the restaurant really are wonderful. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor with a pool view; the room was immaculate and well appointed. Big thanks to the fab cleaning staff. Fluffy clean towels every day and clean bedding etc ... Cool air con and really luxe bathrooms make this hotel probably the BEST we've ever stayed at. There is entertainment, indoor pool, spa facilities and also being part of Sa Coma Resort means lots of sports activities. The food was gorgeous and varied and very high class in taste and presentation. A tip; order the fresh made omelettes from the grill on a morning and try the compile your own stir fry; both created in front of you at the show cooking stations. We ate the the Asador Argentinian restaurant- recommended; lots of steak, sausage etc ... With an array of salads, desserts and drinks in the lovely La Reserva surroundings. This waterpark is serene and definately worth a visit. The beach and resort centre are only a 5-10 min walk away. Also Use of the ogre Protur hotels is a bonus. We will return as this really is a cut above your average holiday hotel

Hotel was excellent, clean with big rooms. Food is good buffet style for brekkie and dinner. Pool cafe usual stuff have to pay for this even.all inclusive people. It's located in a complex so you can use all other hotel facilities as well. Stay away from safari as it's the busiest. The 5* pool is quiet and has adult only pool although is more expensive for food and drinks, has couple of baby slides in it for kids. Playa has 2pools one at front and back, always got a place at back one. Sport facilities are all free, on at certain times check at sports hub. Waterpark is at an extra cost but worth it for a day for half board people as it all inclusive. Not that extreme though more suited to little ones. Supermarkets located round corner for beech tat, and beech is about 300m walk. Beech is ok free sunbeds lots of seaweed though. Sa coma centre is fair distance if you have little ones take a pram as could be carrying them if tired. Only gripe was hotel entertainment was very poor, but don't have to watch it

I have worked in the travel industry for 25years and had the privalage of staying at some of the best hotels in the world ... I'm pretty hard to please ;-) The Protur Sa Coma's biggest selling point is it's management and staff. I have honestly never seen a hotel manager who is so in tune with his guests, Chez was constantly around and shown genuine concern for every single guest. I had e mailed to request a room with a bath (there are only 8 standard rooms and I believe they are all ground floor). We were allocated room 008 which was perfect, specious and well equipped ...there was some noise from the night time entertainment so you may want to request a quite room if you go to bed before 11pm. The swim out rooms looked fantastic.
The restaurant was very nice and the option to dine at some of the other restaurants was most welcome (the Italian and Indian were particularly good). The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and sunbeds/umbrella rental was 4.70 euros per item. The resort it's self was a bit tacky but Cala Millor is about a 20 minute walk ..well worth a visit. Took the bus into Palma (express coach was 18 euros return) which was also excellent. Drinks were bar prices in the UK and the all inclusive was probably the best I have ever seen (much better than Sandals etc)... A full choice of spirits with major brands all served. No issue getting a sunbed but still people were out very early reserving them and not using them until late afternoon! Pools were spotless along with the rest of the hotel. My daughter loved the 8.30 mini disco and although she was too young to join the kids club it seemed well organised. A good range of age groups and not too many children ( like the Safari opposite). I didn't see much of the night time entertainment but it seemed ok. Think it would be nice to have somewhere outside to sit with a drink in the evening. The option to use the sport facilities looked great, equally the waterpark was good fun and great value.
Would, without doubt stay here again and spoke to quite a lot of people who were on their 2/3 visit... Overall a fantastic holiday and I would highly recommend to anyone that appreciates a very good 4 star hotel.

Room Tip: Swim out rooms looked good... Most rooms have a walk in shower

I booked with the hotel direct and I received excellent customer service from the moment I did. With a 5 year old and a 19month old I booked one of the new swim up rooms and these were fantastic, spacious with a lovely terrace and of course the pool as you open the door. It worked perfectly as I was worried about finding a sun bed during peak season, however, even when we used the main pool there were always spots available.

Although we were all inclusive we ate at the pool bar most lunch times (extra cost) just to have a break from the buffet food as it can make it difficult for everyone to sit down and eat together. The food was variable but usually something tasty could be found. The grill and freshly cooked dishes were fantastic! Choice for children was more limited but there was always a pasta or chips option!

It was great having the wider resort to access with the waterpark a fantastic day out. Although there was a small fee to enter breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea was included in the price. We would go for a few hours in the morning and head back to the hotel for nap time, you could return later in the day which was really convenient.

The staff were excellent, in particular Paco in the pool bar who made a real effort with my family which was much appreciated! Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff and service was efficient and with a smile. The kids mini disco was v popular and great fun. The entertainment we saw was pretty good and when the children did retire it was nice to be able to sit on the terrace overlooking the pool.

A great holiday, really relaxing (in spite of the children!!)

Room Tip: Swim up rooms were fantastic, free mini bar, replaced daily and pool towels included. The wifi was...

We recently returned from a fabulous holiday at the Protur Sa Coma Hotel & Spa. This is our third visit and from start to finish we could not fault this hotel, very good choice of food, something different every night, deserts are delightful. Rooms are very clean and big, we were on the ground floor with out own terrace and it was lovely and quiet. A special mention to Chej the Manager he was always so helpful and friendly and always went that extra mile to make your holiday go smoothly. And also a special mention to Christina on reception always had a smile and friendly greeting, happy to help in anyway she could. We will return.

Well done to you all.

As a family of 10 ranging from 2-73 years old (including 2 teenagers) we all wanted something different from this holiday, and this hotel certainly provided it! i felt the sa coma playa was the most relaxed of the three hotels in this complex which we preferred,
however the pool area had a bubbly vibe and the small children's pool by the main pool was perfect for our toddler. the sports complex by the side of the hotel has bikes to hire for a refunded 10 euro deposit which is well worth it to travel around the local area which is well equipped with cycle lanes.
the bar staff (especially miguel rafa and paco) felt nothing was too much to ask for and made us feel at home from the day we arrived, which included VERY generous amounts of alcohol in our drinks!
the restaurant had a wide variety of food (for an all inclusive!) some people expect a whole new menu every night and simply need to be realistic! the hotel offers plenty of international cuisines and hot grills to cook meat fresh, which at breakfast is used to cook eggs and omelettes.the managers often welcomed you to lunch and dinner and even remembered the names of our family which is sweet.
the cleanliness of the hotel is superb and rooms are left spotless, on the last evening of your stay the maids come to your room around 6pm to turn down your beds and place either a twix, mars bar or snickers on your pillow, which is a lovely touch from the ever friendly maids.
the only negative on cleaning would be the pool bar toilets and the reception toilets as they often smelt and were extremely stuffy (just generally unpleasant!)
our room (112) overlooked the main pool and had the sunshine all afternoon which is ideal! however we rarely heard any noise when sleeping which again worked very well.
my biggest concern was my 17 year old 6'0" daughter had to sleep on a horrible sofa bed which her feet hung over by a huge amount and she felt very uncomfortble to sleep on it's rock hard base and thin mattress.
Overall it was a lovely family holiday and we are sad to be back home again, and i would be happy to return in the future!

Room Tip: rooms facing the main pool have sunshine all afternoon!

Superb family holiday in two adjacent suites, one booked and one an upgrade by the hotel. . Lovely room : only room I've ever stayed in where the air conditioning does not keep you awake. Family orientated pool but no intrusive music or stupid organised games - very relaxing for adults too part from the occasional car going by. Very quiet apart from a wedding on the first night which was all over by 10 PM. Outstanding food - high class restaurant standard every night even though it was a buffet - all the food was freshly cooked. Drinks were not too expensive. Service - excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Free bike hire was very useful.
