“Our stay in the Vista Badia Aparthotel, Sa Coma, Majorca 16-30 June 2012”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2012

We have just returned from staying 2 weeks at the Vista Badia Aparthotel [self catering] and were dellighted with our stay in the hotel. The hotel is part of the Protur Sa Coma resort which has a Club house where there is a full programme of activities and facilities for both adults and children some of these being: bicycle hire, 3 mini golf courses, tennis, shooting, 5 a side football, squash and many more activities to choose from.

The hotel is modern [decorated in black and white throughout] and very clean with staff who were always available to help. Our apartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with plenty of wardrope space and all the amenities you would need for self catering [fridge/freezer, kettle, pots, pans, microwave, lots of crochery, cutlery etc . We stayed on the first floor with a spacious balcony overlooking the gardens which were tended beautifully, as were the gardens surrounding the entrance to the hotel.

No shortage of sunbeds/parasols around the pool area and the pool itself was bigger than we had expected. Waterpolo and aqua aerobics were at least 2 of the pool activities organised. The pool bar provided drinks and snacks which were excellent.

There are plenty of Spar shops around Sa Coma, however at the back of the hotel was a large supermarket [Eroski] which was better value for money.

The beach is approx 100m walk from the hotel, sunbeds and parasols were 13 euros per day and you could walk quite far into the sea before getting out of your depth. Parasending, banana boat rides and volleyball were some of the beach acitivites if you were feeling energetic.

We would highly recommend this hotel under SC and looking forward to booking our stay for next year.

I have just returned from a 12 day all inclusive stay at the Vista Badia in Sa Coma with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We had a great time. The hotel itself is lovely, furnished to a high standard, providing a very comfortable base for a holiday. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, providing us with plenty space - the rooms are spotless and cleaned pretty much every day. The only point I would need to add is that there is easy access to the balcony from the living/sofa bed area. The doors do not lock - my daughter was able to open the doors by herself, meaning she had to sleep in the bedroom to ensure she didn't go on an adventure alone!

The food in the hotel is excellent. Plenty choice available for all meals and snacks throughout the day. The only downfall is that the main restaurant is VERY noisy and can be exceptionally busy at peak times. It would be better if the clearing stations for dirty plates and cutlery was behind the scenes to avoid unnecessary noise. There is a general feeling of rush in the restaurant and It is not the most relaxing experience I have had. On a positive note however, the ability to book and use the other 4 restaurants in the hotels complex is welcome relief - excellent food too. Be prepared to queue though for a good hour before the booking facility opens at 9am.

Activities during the day are provided by the hotels animation team - these guys are fab. Lucas especially is good fun and so enthusiastic. The entertainment in the evening is in the main enjoyable but as it is outside all rooms over looking the pool do have noise until 11pm.

The pool area is spotless and there are plenty sunbeds available. A little disappointing that the main gate from the pool area out onto the resort roads does not have security entrance/exit facilities - children can come and go as they please - not too safe!

The Hotel was busy with many German guests who do need a little lesson or two in manners especially in the art of turn taking and social graces! Overall though, a fabulous holiday - even though I have made these comments we would certainly consider a return trip.

We travelled with our two children aged nearly 3 and 8 months and have to say we were very impressed with the hotel and the resort. The hotel is part of the Protur Sa Coma resort which is large and has many facilities for both adults and children. Some of which we used were the 54 hole mini golf, la reserva waterpark and paradis park (a large adventure playground with a mini waterpark for babies/toddlers).

The hotel was clean and modern with very helpful and attentive staff who work hard.
The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated. A very useful kitchenette with fridge and microwave. The air con was great and our balcony had sea and garden views. There was also plenty of wardrobe space.

The pool is large and has plenty of sunbeds surrounding it and the pool bar is great for free flowing drinks and a great lunch.

The buffet restaurant in the hotel was great, plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner.
We also used the 4 themed restaurants which were complimentary as we were all inclusive. They were argentinian grill, country grill, italian and tapas and they were all lovely.

The hotel is by shops and restaurants and a large supermarket. It is approx 100m walk from a beautiful beach and turquoise waters.

Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and the resort facilities and we would definately return in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor, as there is an 'underground' level!

we stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in June, had a lovely time. we were self catering and it was good. The whole complex is very nice, good activiteis for children.
My only comment is that the resorts is very Germain, lots of Germains in the hotel, as well as receiption and entertainment. We would have like a place with a more "Spanish" feel.

Room Tip: we got an "apartment select" which was more money, but faced the pool and the ocean, and h...

My husband & I stayed here for a week with my daughter, son-in-law and our young grand-daughter June 2012.
It was great. The apartments were very good and clean with a lovely verandah overlooking the pool. Great air-conditioning. It got v hot! The fridge in the small kitchen was invaluable. There was nothing to complain about really. The apartment was cleaned 5 days out of 7 which was Ok with us. It was not luxurious but perfect for our needs.
The staff were all lovely in our experience.
I loved to get up early and sit outside on the verandah when it was quiet.
We thought the food and entertainment were very good on the whole. The children were well catered for.
We were all on a half board basis. Just about everyone else were all inclusive,
My one complaint is the standard of wine we paid for. The cost was around 3 euros or more for a small glass of wine. If you are a wine drinker do NOT go half board!!! It was totally undrinkable and appalling!! When I (very nicely) complained about the horrible wine, the waiter offered us an alternaitve. It was almost as undrinkable!!
Basically, if you go half board and you are a wine drinker, then pay a bit more and share a amore decent bottle - do NOT pay for the horrible other stuff!!

A Great holiday couldnt fault the hotel or the resort. We went self catering but upgreded the last 3 days which costs 47 Euros per adult, we traveld with our childern 5,2&1 who went who are free on the upgrade.
The rooms are spotless and the complex caters for all your needs.
The ala carte resturants are relally good - you must try the Spanish which was 8 course tapas meal with ice cold beer

One slght moan when the Thompson kids club is in the next hotel "Safari Park" (which is really nice) we were not allowed drinks being all inclusive i would have thought we would as we had to sit and wait for the club to finish.

All in all we would defo go back to this great hotel!

Room Tip: Pool view with a large balcony - we were in room 9 which was great

June 22nd 2012 Just returned from 1 weeks holiday as we were new to self catering we were uncertain as what to expect, plesently surprised nothing to complain about, absolutly spotless, everything you could possibly need even down to a lemon juicer and egg cups excellent maid service every day except Sunday and Tuesday. Staff went out of the way to be helpful including solving our senior moments when we lost our room keys or locked them in the room. The resort is easy to explore using public transport with the bus stop just outside the hotel which will take you anywhere on the island you could possibly want to go, The Kings Head is a must food great staff great prices great what more could you want and its only 2 mins down the road. We were worried that this holtel might be geared towards families as we were all in our 60's and 70's but this was not a problem we all felt very included and confortable. Woild deffinately return to this hotel
