we have just returned from staying ten days, the first thing was the food just like most if the other rewiews ive read the food not a great choice, and it was always luke warm, the kids ate chips and pasta for ten days and the pool snack bar was the same EVERY DAY, ! we ate in the restrurant for a change and it was the night before slop basically, utter poo,! very dissopointed, the food would pass for a 2** i thought, never hot, the pool and hotel beautifull, you have to ask for your drinks which would be easier to help yourself, as it can get busy and they serve the germans first, the staff are nice, the evening entertainment was ok the kids disco was the same every night, and the shows were pretty poor they could do with updating that, we left at 9pm to take the kids to the quads which cost us a fair bit everynight, but they enjoyed that so we were happy spending, the beach is a bit of a walk but very nice , and sa coma is lovely, we went to the larazerva which is well worth it, and paradise park great too, you do have to put towels out at 7am to get a spot, and pool towels are handly, would not go back, and wouldnt reccomend it, we did have a lovely time, the pirate show was amazing, defo worth going to eat out, and the king head dont eat there as the foods poor, i had a stray carrot in my food, and a stray mushroom in the kids beans, which isnt good, the fish fingers and mash was horrid, :)

Very nice reception. Easy, friendly check in. All staff friendly. We went all inclusive with 6 year old daughter. Apartment large with fridge and two rings. No mugs. Washing line on balcony. No kids hangers but plenty of adults. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. BBC1 and CBeebies on TV which was great. Good aircon. People start putting towels on sunbeds at 7am but you can usually still get some at 10.30 if not bothered on location. Pool large but no slides. Lifeguard each day but not always there. Hotel supply towels for pool. Pool area is not properly cleaned so gets dirty and littered under sunbeds. Maid service 5 days a week. Food nice but baguettes at each meal rock hard. The live grill gets large queues as only 1 person cooking omelettes/pancakes, all meat and fish to order. Get in early at mealtimes to avoid queues as most people go late. Meat not always properly cooked. All other choices on buffet are not bad but breakfast eggs can be cold. Do pasta and salad every day. No queues at bars. Can get lunch at pool bar. Pizza good. Entertainment of good standard. Can eat at 4 other restauarants if AI. Dont bother with tapas as awful. Best was Country Grill but did not try Italian as you need to be in queue by 8.20 am at clubhouse to get in there. Free Paradis Park for kids up to around 9 years is good. La Reserva worth a visit for a change. Would not go to Sa Coma unless to AI hotel with facilities as nothing much there although beach lovely. Enjoyed holiday very much. Lots of Germans but guests very pleasant. No tattoed swearing drunks that you get in 3* AI places!! Would happily return.

We have just returned from a 1 week all inclusive stay with our two children aged 6 & 4, we arrived just after midnight and although we had some initial concerns about our room being an interconnecting one, the hotel staff tried hard to accomodate us moving, in the end we decided we weren't bothered enough to move so opted to stay put. We found all the staff to be very helpful. We went to the bar as we were all very thirsty on arriving and were informed that all inclusive ended at midnight, when we explained we had only just arrived and only wanted water we were given some to take to our room.

We felt the rooms were slightly dated but had everything you needed, ours looked over the car park, obviously we would have preferred a pool view, but did not expect one because of the great deal we got when we booked this holiday.

The food was repetative, we weren't expecting anything too fantastic having stayed at different hotels on half board basis' in the past, it all becomes a bit samey after a couple of days, it was edible and our children could always find something they would eat which is a minor miracle in itself! Being a vegetarian I was disappointed at the choice and some of the labelling, but again there was always food available I would eat, there seemed to be more vegetarian at lunchtime than in the evening in the main restraurant. We ate lunch in the pool bar on the first day which was also OK.

Sun beds were hard to come by in the morning, but we managed to find some most afternoons after spending the morning at mini golf/paradise park/beach/bike hire etc, we did sunbath on towels under the shade of the palm trees on one of the lawned areas on one occasion as there were no parasols available near the beds we had found and there was no problem with that. It was a shame that we weren't able to use our all inclusive bands at the Safari Park hotel which was nearer Protur hotel to Paradise Park and Mini Golf.

I would say 40% of the other guests were British with the rest German or from Holland, we did not have a problem with this. There was plenty to do, our children really enjoyed Paradise Park and the Mini Golf, and joined in with the mini club when they felt like it, the entertainment team were extremely friendly and our kids enjoyed spending time with them particularly our daughter (aged 4) the mini disco was a particular favourite hers it didn't matter to her that songs were a mixture of languages including English.

On the whole a very good holiday, I would definately recommend this hotel to others for value for money, and because of the range of other services that were available to us as a family within the Protur complex.

Just returned from two weeks half board at the Vista Badia. My first comment is 4* it ain't. If you look at my previous reports you will see that I try to write balanced, honest feedback about the hotels I visit.

We arrived at our apartment opened the front door to be met by the fog of stale tobacco smoke from the room. Despite the whole holiday buying products to get rid of the smell it didn't go because 99% of our European cousins who occupy most of the hotel seem to smoke everywhere and anywhere they can.

The apartment itself was very good. Great spot 2nd floor above the pool, loads of space, great facilities for cooking etc and great aircon. As half board inmates we unfortunately had to eat at the 'restaurant'.

Our own fault I suppose, we hadn't realised we would be sharing the hotel with the all inclusive 'I'll eat any old garbage as long as it's free' crowd. The food was the most repetitive, unimaginative, uncooked, and unheated pile of old slop I've ever had the misfortune to eat. It became almost a pleasure when we had some food which was lukewarm - that was the hottest it ever got.

We went with Thomson holidays. Again our fault we didn't read the small print. The wonderful water park they describe is OK, but it's not free. OK costs you 15 Euros per person. The wonderful theme restaurants they describe serve themed lukewarm slop at a cost of about 15 Euros per person.

If you are lucky and speak one of the 37 different European languages you will get on fine. If you speak English you can forget it. You will be pretty much ignored. Sadly Ich Bin Ein Englander - destined for failure from the start.

To cap it all we asked for an alarm call for 6am on the day we departed but despite my best Germ... European accent they didn't consider me worth it and we didn't get the call. Thank goodness for mobile phones.

In fairness this is a great hotel in a great location in a great resort, with great pool and grounds, spoiled only by the clientele, staff and food, without which it would be 10 out of 10. The resort itself and the wonderful neighbouring Cala Millor have an abundance of quality supermarkets, bars and restaurants which we wish we were able to take advantage of.

Having been recommended to this hotel we were looking forward to our holiday. In general the hotel was clean and the staff helpful but we wer unable to use the aircon as it leaked all the time even though they tried to repair it. The noise from the hotel adjacent to us in the evening was unbearably loud until close to midnight and when that finished we had the noise from the English pub until the early hours. As the hotel was fyull we couldnt be moved. The majority of residents were german (95%) with few english families. The kids were unable to do any of the clubs as all the other kids were german so they didnt understand what was going on. Evening entertainment was also mainly German. On the upside the food was good if you got there early on as the kids were pushed out of the way when the germans came into the restuarant. We averaged 4/5 hrs sleepa night with all the noise etc and was definately not a relaxing holiday atmosphere. Definately wouldnt go there again
